I’ve been stuck on these two particular issues in advanced rules for a few weeks now, if anybody could point me in the right direction I’d be really grateful!
I’m attempting to reconstruct the Scottish league system, I’m focusing on the Premiership and Championship at the minute. I’ve added a league split after two rounds of fixtures, separating both leagues into championship and relegation groups, emulating the Scottish Premiership in real life. My issues occur when adding a promotion/relegation play-off system. The idea is 3rd-6th in the Championship playout two semi-final legs before the winners meet in a two-legged playoff final (like the English Championship). Then, the winner of that tie will play the 3rd last team in the Premiership over two legs, with the victor taking the Premiership spot for next season. I’ve looked at the advanced playoff rules for both Scottish & English Championships, and have even gone as far to emulate them, but to no avail.
These are my two errors:
1. The Premiership “has not finished in time for the season update day 17/06/2023 (not all stages have been created).
I’ve tested the rules before adding the relegation play-off stage and they worked fine. I’m not sure how adding an extra couple of weeks’ worth of fixtures after the end of the league season has broken this. The playoffs are set to end in May, before the season update day. I’ve also tried extending the length of the season and the update day, just to see if I could isolate the error, but this never worked either.
2. The Championship promotion playoff stage (stage 3) “can’t find enough teams to be created, 0 teams found, 4 needed”
I had this working before. I’ve tried copying the “Teams” section from the equivalent stages in both the English (which this is replicating) and Scottish Championships, but for a reason I cannot find it no longer acquires the teams from 3rd-6th in the final league table after the split is complete.
Any help, hints or insight into these issues would be greatly appreciated. I’ve also attached the editor file if anybody has the time and would like to have a look for themselves, but I completely understand if not.
