  1. Thank you for your response. They are very minor issues, so don't worry. Just wanted to point them out if you for some reason didn't know about them.  :)

The thing with the numbers makes perfect sense, I agree that the full view is much more important.

  2. I still use your skin and I'm very grateful for the included colorways and mods. Regarding the mods, there is a very small bug when it comes to using the deafult FM font instead of yours. On the tactics screen, the button which expands the tactic view, has a spacing issue between icon and text.

The issue go away when you click on a player and go back. Suddenly there is perfect spacing between the two. The issue reappears as soon as you go onto a different tab, e.g. your squad, and then back into tactics though. Is there an easy way to simply remove the tactic icon? I've tried looking through every folder in your skin, but I can't seem to find it.

I’ve also noticed that the shirt numbers are slightly too far up on the shirts when the tactics panel is collapsed. If you know where I can adjust the position of those I would be very happy.

    Thank you in advance. :)

it would be interesting to see full monochrome. with a black and white set of badges, flags and photos

I sense you're being sarcastic, but I honestly love the black and white theme, with the club colors, badges etc standing out with colour. It's a very clean design.

    Don't have the time unfortunately.

    Understandeble. Great skin regardless!

I always use dark themes for everything, but I love how you made everything so simple and clean. :)

I'm embarrassed to ask, but how will the dark version of this skin differ from the standard skin?

The same way every other skin differs from each other. Different style. E.g. team colored titlebar, less different colors in text and design, generally more minimalistic like the name implies.

If you look at his thread from FM22 there is screenshots of a dark version. You can hopefully see how that differs from the default skin.

When the game wants to abbreviate thousand  (e.g. 100.000) it uses "T" (100T) instead of "K" (100K). It doesn't make any sense. I've never in my life seen anyone use the letter "T" as a shortened version of thousand in Danish. I played a bit of FM17 recently and in that version "K" was used, which makes sense, as kilo is used a lot in the metric system, which is used in Denmark.

I definitely think you should change the abbreviation back to K asap. :)

This haven't been addressed in the beta for FM23.

EDIT: Posted in FM23 subforum now.

  6. The second season has been completed, and it went beyond all expectations. We won The Championship comfortably with 107 points! A big reason for our dominance was certainly to be found in our transfers. We loaned (and later bought) Christopher Scott and Roberto Fernández who both did really well. In addition, we brought in a couple of free Swedes in the form of Simon Gustafson and Jacob Rinne, both of whom were regular starters for most of the season. However, they have both been sold on after promotion for a total of £15M.

A little money was also spent. Shayne Lavery scored a lot of goals for Blackpool the season before, including a hattrick against us, and we chose to buy him for £3.8M, which was well worth it as he became our top scorer with 26 goals in the league. Gastón Pereiro came in for just £825K, which turned out to be the Player of the Year in The Championship.

In January we also brought in Freddie Woodman for £400K as a replacement for Rinne, as well as Felix Passlack for just £210K after he was left out in the cold at Dortmund. He was seen as a replacement for Festy Ebosele who we unfortunately had to sell as he refused to extend his contract and only had half a year left. Unfortunately we only got £3M for him, which must be said to be far too little. Dominic Hyan was also sold on for £1.4M as he was unhappy with a lack of game time and Krystian Bielik who was constantly injured and our highest paid player was sent home to the Polish league on a free.

We've got relatively big transfer budget for next season, so I'm excited to see if I can get some Premier League quality in before the start of the season. The objective must clearly be to survive, as on paper we have the weakest team (besides Stoke) and the smallest economy.

  7. I'm done with the first season now and we survived!

    6G015xM.png

It was a tough season and we had lots of losing and winning streaks through the season and as seen in the picture our end of the season was dreadful with only 1 win in 5. Therefore it was an open relegation battle to the last couple of rounds.

Regarding transfers we made some business in January. Our first purchase was Danilo Pereira from Ajax which has been key to our survival. He only costed us £160K and I'm sure he will bring in much more than that in the future with 12 goals in 18 games in the league.

I also wanted some younger central defenders, and we spent almost £3M in total on our new partnership made out of Maxime Estève and Dominic Hyam. Lastly we loaned José Izquierdo to be backup for our strikers, but he didn't make any difference for us when he got the chance.

Lastly we sold Louie Sibley for £11M + 40% of next sale to Man Utd. He was loaned back to us for the rest of the season.

    How is your season going?

I’m not with my computer for a few days, but I can give a brief summary. I’m still in the relegation zone, but only by a few points.

I’ve had a hard time deciding on which formation to use with the team, but I’ve used a 4-3-1-2 most of the season with mixed success. I’ve beaten some of the best teams in the league but also lost some games against teams I should be beating.

I feel that I’m missing a clinical striker to win some of those 50/50 games, so that will be my main target this January. I would also like to bring in a decent central defender which isn’t 30+. Right now the only transfers in are Jerome Sinclair and Brandon Mason which were both signed for free. Sinclair is a starter with Tom Lawrence on top, while Mason is a backup for the left back position.

I’ve mutually terminated the contracts of Ravel Morrison and Kelle Roos because there were no buyers and I wanted to get rid of the wages. I’ve sold Chris Forsyth and Colin Kazim-Richards while Bobby Duncan was sold during administration.

That does sound a bit odd. Are there any clues on your Finances screens?

Do you mean this screen? I'm in the red, but I'm not under any embargo as far as I know. I've signed two players on a free as well. The projection is also showing us to get better in the coming seasons and getting our balance positive.

This is what it says on every player I try to bid on even though I'm in December:

The first season with The Tanners is finished, and I am very satisfied with the results. We won The Double by finishing 1st in the league as well as winning the FA Trophy on penalties against Aldershot in the final. We dominated the league almost from the start with over 100 goals and points. In the FA Cup, it didn't go quite as well. We well enough defeated Southend in the 4th qualifying round, but were then beaten by AFC Telford after extra time and penalties. It was a game we should have won.

I have chosen not to attach transfers, as here at the end of the season we only have one player from the start of the game left in the first team squad, namely Jacob Mellis. Therefore, the squad is attached instead to give a better overview of the team. Of the key players, I would like to highlight a few. Sam Bellis, who was released by Southampton, became the player of the year in the league, and our overall top scorer with a whopping 41 goals in all competitions. Callum Hulme, who came on a free from Leicester, was the creator and captain of the team, and got 20 assists and 23 goals in all competitions.

One last I would like to mention is Lars Dendoncker who was a central defender who joined after being loaned from Brighton to Leyton Orient in League 2 last season where he played regularly. I saw his qualities better used as a full-back, and therefore he was retrained with zero experience in the position. Later in the season, he was rated as the league's best right-back.

I have chosen to start this challenge with Leatherhead Football Club. According to Wikipedia, the town has only about 11,000 inhabitants, and is located in the area of Surrey in the southeast of England. The club has won some lower ranked tournaments over the years, but since the titles are so small, the club has never ever won a trophy according to FM. The promotion to Vanarama National League South is also the club's highest position in the league system ever.

We start with both a narrow squad and a very small staff. Our assistant coach is waiting for a work permit to become a manager for another club, and otherwise I only have one director of football in the staff who frankly isn't worth much. I expect to fill all vacant roles with new faces before the start of the season. In regards to transfers last season, only 3 players have come in and 2 of them have already moved on. Therefore, Ryan Bird is the only change since game start.

I hope we can at least establish ourselves into the league with some good transfers. We do not have a single goalkeeper or right-back in the squad, so these are the most important places the club needs to be strengthened. The board expects me to buy players under 23, so I will try that as much as possible. I will update after the first season.

What file is .fmf files? You said it used to extract the graphics.fmf file, what graphic? Is the graphic of 3D match engine?

There's lots of different .fmf files. It's the file type much of the game is compressed into.

The graphics.fmf file has different things in it, I don't know about the match engine. I used it for 3D kits e.g.

  15. I noticed a problem just now. NordicBet liga (2nd tier) doesn't split up like in the vanilla db. All other vanilla divisions do, but for some reason your db makes NBL a normal 33 game league with not promotion/relegation split.

EDIT: I think I've fixed it. I made every single rule in the vanilla leagues match the Girafi db and it seems to work fine when simulating. Besides that I've made the Bornholmsserien teams play each other 3 times like in real life, because of too few matches. I've attached the file here, but just say if you want me to remove it. :)

  16. I have a few questions again. First of all I've noticed that NB Bornholm II isn't affiliated to the 1st team in your database. I think their b-team should be put in the Bornholmsserien instead.

Secondly, girafi has made a fix once again for the winter patch and again I would like to combine the two, but I don't know how. This time it's only regarding signing players on part time contracts under a certain wage. In the vanilla game - and therefore your db - you can sign most players from semi pro teams in the lower divisions for free, which is quite game breaking if you're one of those teams. I don't know if you can implement a simmilar fix to your database? The link to girafi's db is here (if he doesn't take this one down too ):

Thank you again for the best db for the lower leagues in Denmark!

EDIT: I noticed he also changed the summer transfer deadline from 1/9 to 31/8, but I think thats the only other change in his fix. I've taken a screenshot of what rules has been changed.
