Nice! any pointers? lol
I have still got him, he has been grumbling as he hasnt been in my team for some time. He doesnt seem to perform when I give him the chance. I think the core of the original team are still in my squad but not all in the first team. Some promising players though
I have actually taken a punt on Jack Wilshere too on an ok wage for my budget. Bit of a gamble and if it pays off he could get me to the next level and start climbing the table a bit.
Live on loans....that's about it! haha! RoShaun Williams and Sean Goss are the only 2 that I think could play at a higher level after a few years on the game, but havent done a super long save this year to test it. Wilshere is make or break, I love it!

Oh wow, its happened a fair few times over the years but in FM20 I have been fortunate and have yet to be relegated BUT I am Shrewsbury town and had survived my first season in the championship. This second season hasnt started in an electrifying way but I do fear I will get second season syndrome and drop out of the league. I am around 10 games into the season and 16th I think so keeping my fingers crossed.
Relegation is a sickening feeling, I know that much.
Shrewsbury are the team I support and I can understand the struggle of getting into championship and worrying every season. Still got Goss?

Will buy this year, as I do every year!
The game improves every year I find, always tweaking and adding bits that make it feel more immersive.0 -
Very rarely spend big on a player that isn't being scouted and regularly looked at, I've done the big wage for a lower league player a few times whilst in League 1 where you see a premier league youngster whose barely played and you trust the scouts.

When you see your favourite young player not kick up a fuss or want to move every 6 months, managing at a larger club helps for sure but still nice to see loyalty!

I don't personally think difficulty of opposition or AI is something that needs to be changed too much, of course some transfers by AI can be a tad odd and management but overall wouldn't say that's the issue. I've always felt it seems too easy to get back to back promotions and grow quickly, but ultimately that it's a game and you can take much bigger risks than a real manager would.
Not only this, ultimately, this is a game, and every game pretty much has exploits, whether that be skill moves, weapons or in FM's case, formations, man management, shouts etc.0 -
Love seeing all these posts, this year is the first year I have not done a Shrewsbury Town save. Will be aiming to get back to one in FM21.

I used to have this idea where, no matter what club I'd be at, I'd never spend over £20 million. I still have yet to break that on any 'serious' saves where I will be at a club over 1 season.

Yeh all of them are originals, Rowland is really unproven so good to see he's turned out well! All the CB's are pretty beastly to be honest
