I've had another save grind to a halt in 2032 because of lack of top quality players. England surprisingly has a terrible national team. This is with Daveincid database too to improve the situation. This save failed. I had nearly every league loaded too so was hoping it would maintain the quality of players across the board but hasn't worked out.

I'm annoyed we haven't heard anything since. Why post something in June if the updates are going to be sporadic? Meant to be building excitement not generating frustration. Drip, drip is fine but not drip, RADIO SILENCE.

I use IFs with "controlled possession" successfully. That's what the game calls my tactic anyway

@Daveincid has anyone reported unusual transfers with any of these? I’m using the May update and Manchester United have managed to loan Frankie De Jong midway through the first season, despite him playing regularly for Barcelona. They sold Bruno Fernandes for £50m to Arsenal at beginning of season one. They sold Kobie Mainoo to Tottenham for £52m end of season one. Maybe nothing to do with your changes but certainly goes against realism ;D

For reference re other comments, I'm running 57 playable leagues with 228k players across 42 nations. The AI has a squad planner in theory... :/ Also, agree re loans. I left United with around 5-10 players out on load who had 4/5* potential. Most of them spent the next season rotting in the reserves. Yet because of the imbalanced AI squad building worldwide - they're basically the best players in the world for their age. I've moved to Real Madrid and the only players I can find are United players, or ex-United players. I've bought 5 of them. No more because it already feels too much, quite irritating really, and pretty much I'm clinging on to the save. I feel like moving to a lower league and working my way back up, but then where's the fun when I will be successful - because I'll be the only one growing any potential and ending up with a squad full of amazing players whilst the AI happily ticks along with above average players (who by comparison the the world average, are the best in the world, bar my squad!)

It's been covered elsewhere, but I also only tend to play 20+ year careers. One or two per FM. After 10 seasons the difference in quality compared to the initial save game start date is huge. Mainly due to AI not developing youngsters. I really struggle to understand how or why there isn't a mechanism to tweak (artificially, for the benefit of the whole game economy/player quality) AI players progressions IF the algorithm is too complex to enable them to do this themselves. I'm in 2039 at the moment and there's only one great AI squad on the game, and I'm running 57 playable leagues with 228k players across 42 nations. I am so disappointed that with my new CPU allowing me to bump up league and player count significantly, that it hasn't helped at all really with the game balance in the future. It's so sad!

Generally speaking, my objective is to start unemployed and find a job. Then buy and develop players based on my preferred tactic/philosophy etc. Then realistically progress with the club each season, or via another job vacancy/opportunity, to reach the top of the game. You create a world of your own with stories all over. Favourite players, records and rivalries.

Cannot believe this... won the first leg 2-0 and drew the second leg 1-1 and got knocked out on penalties!!!!

@starbugg I thought I had found it, but actually what I mean is having so many goals have VAR involved and watching and waiting for the decision, ref running around, I don't want to see that. Just tell me the decision or don't show me the disallowed goal. I like watching extended highlights but that's just taking it too far.

I would really like to turn off VAR highlights, as if it isn't bad enough in real life I'm having to watch it on what feels like almost every goal.

The four legends weren't even in the squad. One is unfit for some reason and another needs a rest.
