You're welcome to buy anything you like.  These threads have been going for years. I ran the last one for over 100 pages, with help. I never recall anyone saying they were ever disappointed.

We put a lot into these posts, hours of research in our own time.

This all started for me on 2011, I spent€900 on a subpar laptop that didnt run FM well at all.

9 years later, I am still here, helping people avoid costly mistakes.

I often look at the computers in Currys and see really bad specd computers at the higest price points. I've heard their expert staff give bad advice to people who know nothing about computers.

Go ahead,  buy whatever you think is good.

Thanks for your input Smurf.I really appreciate your time just didn’t want to end up making an error.

I’ll listen to your decisions because as Kev said theirs a lot of marketing etc. going on.

I wish you both all the best !!

You're welcome. What about these that I found don't you like exactly?

Well basically curry’s have a selection of ‘Gaming’ laptops with filters like ‘Essential’’ ‘Enthusiast’ ‘Serious’ ‘Pro’

None of the laptops you recommend were in these fields so I was a bit confused :)

    NO DEDICATED GPU

Mac with the M1 chip does really well in benchmarking - it's 13 inch screen so may not be for you

Windows 14 inch screen - and on par with the Mac I'd say - plus has more RAM
Also touchscreen - not sure that's important for you -

Windows - 14 inch - good laptop - slightly lesser than the 2 above

DEDICATED GPU - Better if you're into other games too

    Windows
Again - this is on Par with the Mac - I'd say - and if you play other games and prefer

This is cheaper and a slightly weaker processor - and graphics card is slightly weaker

Hello Smurf, thanks!! I’m a bit sceptical about the Mac as it’s been said on here that they aren’t the best for FM.

Also Sorry to be a pain! But can you find me a laptop more suited for ‘gaming’ I like the huawei but touchscreen isn’t what I’m looking for :)

Obviously price doesn’t determine the performance of a laptop but my budget is a grand because I want the best for my money.Hope that makes sense and you can help further !

  4. Hello people! I’m looking for a new laptop to run fm 21 when it comes out.I have a budget of a grand and I only run it on 2D.I was looking at the following:
