No I don't have anything custom I only use what's included with the game so it's always the latest database and patch with the default skin for me.

The scouting setup doesn't work properly for me and didn't in 20 either.
The chief scout doesn't assign my scouts anything in either version and as you said they just do general focus, I really wish the chief scout assigned my scouts properly.

I always buy the latest game on the initial release but then go back to the previous version as I can't fully immerse myself until the game gets its final patch.
I couldn't wait for FM21 this year but like most years I start a career and then stop playing within a season or two.
I then go back to the previous version and play a full career so right now I'm on FM20 and have done a journeyman career I started in early December, I'm 13 years in and have landed at Real Madrid but I want to play FM21 again but until that final patch arrives later in the year I can't immerse myself properly.
Does anyone else struggle until the final patch like this?

What are the advantages of having these positions? I never have a DoF but it always is a suggestion for me. I prefer handling player contracts myself and signings too so is there a point in a DoF for me?
Also the technical director what does he do? Mine has his contract expiring and I don't know if I should renew it because he doesn't seem to do anything.

Probably not as it's an Xbox game so I think the limit is 30 seasons regardless of platform.

If you buy on xbox you also own the the xbox edition for Windows 10, those games will auto sync between the two - you cannot transfer between xbox edition and FMT PCOkay so xbox its not cross save compatible with fm touch Pc.
So if I buy the xbox version does that mean I can also play the xbox version on my windows 10 PC / laptop as long as I'm signed in to my xbox live account? I think this is correct.

I had this problem on 20. I played on my PC at home and laptop at work so used the cloud but sometimes when I play at work it never had the latest save so now I always do a local save and transfer it with me.

Neil Brock says you can transfer your progress between xbox and a windows 10 PC. Does this mean if I want to transfer my progress between the xbox and PC then I need to buy FM Touch on the PC?

I am confused. If I buy the xbox version do I still need to buy the PC version to play it on my PC or can I play the xbox version on my PC?

Fixed the issue
Is anyone else having any problems getting past the loading screen with the game pass version? I have tried all the troubleshooting stuff located here Technical Issues – Knowledge Base (sega.co.uk) but the game just will not pass the loading screen, I've been trying to get this working since 2pm this afternoon for my younger cousin

So I fixed this 30 minutes after posting this, bloody typical
I updated all his microsoft store apps which included the xbox app and then with a fresh sign in the game started working
