Can someone explain me why I play half the season in the month of March and April in 2022, it was the same in 2021... I fallow the MLS in real life... And for the Impact it never, never happens! I have games every 2 days... Come on now.

I was running into the same problem and I think I've found a way to fix this. I was clicking around in the pre-game editor and for some reason there's a month and a half break built into the MLS in the middle of summer.

To fix it, go into the pre-game editor. At the top, click on rules - add nation rules - add lower divisions and cups to existing structure - select USA as the nation.

From there - click on rules again - convert to advanced rules - look for Mid-Season Breaks on the menu on the left side of the screen and click on that - click on the enabled box in the top right corner.

Go back to rules again - test rules - all. Once it's verified you'll be able to select it from the list of custom databases when you start a new save.

It sucks that you'll have to start a new one, but hopefully it will be more enjoyable/realistic. I'm new to the editor and perhaps not great at describing the steps. I've attached a screenshot that shows where in the advanced rules you can find the mid season break, and a screenshot that shows the schedule after making the changes. Good luck!

  2. MLS has a minimum salary requirement, which I believe stands at ~90k/a for all senior players (that amount goes up yearly, I'm in 2022 and the minimum salary is $95k p/a). You can offer a reserve contract to the player, and I think that number is around 75k/a. Either way, I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to offer less than ~650k p/a.

If the player has a high enough profile, the league will sometimes cover all or some of the cost of a designated player's salary. I haven't found a way to find out who those players are, but I would guess it would be one of your DPs.

I know this isn't super helpful, but I thought a little context could be helpful. Hope you're able to sign Hamza and he balls out for you!

  3. MLS fixture congestion

Summary: A game every two, three, or four days for three months at the start of the season and two games scheduled in two months later in the season.

Description: I ran into it this in FM20 as well. I'll play a match every two or three days from March through May and have two games scheduled in July and none in August. I'm a big MLS fan and even with Concacaf Champions league, I don't recall a schedule as lopsided as this one in real life, especially with so many dates later in the calendar that are available. For what it's worth, I love the new game! It just takes some enjoyment away when the schedule is so unbalanced.
