i dont remember anything like this in previous fm versions i ve been playing fm since 2006 i m sure this is a bug in fm 21.

hi @Abdullah Patel i accidentally deleted my jena save but i still have the save from 2030 facilities are already maxed out and cant improve 19 youth recruitment .save name is JENA.fm
i m also uploading 2 different saves with same youth recruitment problem.save names are kaiserslautern.fm and BELENENSES.fm
kaiserslautern save is also maxed facilities with 19 yr belenenses save is not maxed out facilities but stuck at 19 yr

i m doing youth academy challange but i have a problem i d apreciate if anyone can help me.i m managing Jena FC in germany it is already 2037 and i ve been getting top 4 in bundesliga consistently and played semi final in cl so far my facilities are maxed out for few years but every year i m getting youth intake after 9 teams i know highest youth recruitment teams get youth intake first so i checked my facilities with genie scout and fmse both of them shows i have 19 youth recruitment other 9 teams have 20 youth recruitment i ve been trying to ask board to improve youth recruitment but there is no option to ask for 6 years i feel like this problem affects my intake negatively.is there any way i can improve my youth recruitment to 20 or is it gonna be stuck at 19 forever ?
i also had the same 19 youth recruitment problem with my other save but it was not youth academy save so i didnt care about it but now i think this may be a bug in fm21

I don't think there's even a correlation between where your scouting knowledge lies and the nationality of regens, never mind quality.
It might however help us to find better staff, but unless you have a huge database (and really what would be the point of that in this challenge) and you're one of the top teams in the world, how many fantastic foreign coaches are going to come to you, and wouldn't the top domestic coaches work for you in those circumstances?

i ve been doing youth academy challenge with Jena FC in germany i m already in 2035 and i managed to get top 4 in bundesliga i have 20 in TF YF JC and 19 YR i heard better scouting knowledge gives u better chance to get good youth intake and i am working on it i managed to get %79 scouting knowledge worldwide by getting staff with different nations even if they are bad but i dont even get foreign regens i only got 1 in 3 years i know it is a small sample size but i dont get better quality youth intake also. i feel like scouting knowledge has no impact on youth intake and does not worth going for it
my question is does scouting knowledge has any impact on youth intake if it is does it increase the quality or only change nationality and no impact on quality ?

Quick update on this: the issue with number of number of newgens in ai youth intakes is still under review and we're working hard to get it improved. In most cases these numbers won't drop below what's expected until 10+ years into save (custom dbs and some nations are affected earlier unfortunately), and future improvements for this will be save game compatible when they're ready.
To clarify, the youth intake process is different for ai clubs and human managed clubs. Whilst a human club may receive 10+ youth candidates in an intake, it's likely that the user wouldn't be recommended to sign all of them, and this number is not what should be expected from ai clubs, where the same trialist process doesn't take place.
The info provided in this thread has been very useful in helping us try to get to the bottom of these issues, and your ongoing patience as we try to get them all resolved is still greatly appreciated.

i then reloaded to the week before the intake added managers to all prem clubs
with human controls ever club brought in 18 new youth players?
also seems if i add a manager but retire them before the actuall intake day the intake is again approx 18 players
not sure if this is any use or just pointless i have a save from the week before the intake if needed

turkey league is becoming unplayable after 10+ years
im playing a build a nation save with turkish 3. tier team kahramanmaraşspor it is 2035 already i ve won the league 9 times and i ve won the champions league with my team and got the turkish national team job ,turkish league is also growing it is 5. best league in the europe now and got 6 european spots now my goal is winning a worldcup with turkish national team but there is a problem with the save.
In the first season turkish teams were getting 10-12 regens ,from second season to 10. season teams were getting 5-7 regens per year but after 10. season turkish teams started getting 2 regens every year for 6 seasons except my team i m getting 15-16 regens every year .I m not using custom database i m using official database with turkish german dutch and belgium first division selected playable.german teams getting 10+ every year even non playable leagues are producing more regens than turkey.I m really enjoying my save but it is becoming really hard with low number of regens can u pls help me ?
i also tested adding manager to other turkish teams i saved the game on 9th of march added manager on 3 different turkish teams and they all got 16 regens just like my team , i loaded the save again but didnt add any managers all 3 team got 2 regens .there is a problem for sure.i guess teams only getting good amount of regens when it is controlled and ai teams not getting enough players from youth intake which is not realistic

i know every country has different youth ratings and game importance these are really important for youth intake quality ,Does fc andorra gets youth players with spain youth rating/game importance or andorra youth rating/game importance?

is it too hard to fix ? i tested it controlled teams generates 15-17 regens and ai teams generates 2-3 ,they just need to make ai teams to generate same number of regens
i hope devs notices this problem

it happens in first day of youth intake players doesnt even appear ,i dont think it is about youth contracts .game is just not producing youth players under ai control

i m playing build a nation challenge save in turkey currently at 34/35 season, other turkish clubs were getting 5-7 regens every year my team was getting 15-17 until 10th season but after that all the clubs are getting only 2 regens every year except my team i m still getting 15-17 ,even some non playable leagues are getting more regens than turkey. it is annoying for a long term save.i tried saving game at 9th march added managers for 3 different teams in the league and all of the teams got 16 regens like my team, i loaded the game and didnt add any managers this time all 3 teams got 2 regens as always so there is a big problem with ai managed teams producing regens even in playable leagues i m waiting for the fix asap like every other long term fm player.

there are 2 problems with board requests in fm 21 i tested those in different saves and both of this problems are annoying for long term saves
1.if ur teams doesnt have a u23 or reserve team at the start of the game u can never ask board for it in fm 20 there is an option to ask for it but in fm 21 u cant ask for it even if u won league multiple times even if u upgrade ur facilites to max level even if u win champions league even if u become richest team in the world there is literally no way to get u23 team.
2.board always rejects adding more coaches after 9-11 coaches.i tested it with 4 different teams all of these teams won their league multiple times and i literally have more than 200 m sitting on bank.board doesnt accept adding more than 9 coaches in colchester and fc andorra,more than 11 coaches in kahramanmaraşspor(turkish 3. tier team) and HSV.board rejects the request whatever u do even if u become best team in the world it is rejected they sometimes say u dont need more coaches i limit tested it signed more than 60 players for first team but they still reject and they sometimes say they cant accept because of financial issues but there is literally more than 200m on bank and they cant pay 200k a year to a coach ? (this problem started with last patch i had no problems in release patch i had more than 20 coaches with york city )
i really want this game to be better so i will keep posting untill devs answer

i have a save with colchester i promoted to pl but in this save there is a transfer rule i ve never seen before rule is 'teams can sign no more than 6 foreign under 21 players from abroad in a season' i checked on threads and noone ever mentioned about it and i also have different saves with different teams but others saves doesnt have a rule like this.is this rule a scenario that can happen in some saves ?

hi i have a save with York i m in 2030 and i ve already been promoted to premier league but i still dont have a u-23 team.in fm 20 there is an option to ask board for u-23(reserve) team but in fm 21 ther is no option to ask for it.i already upgraded my facilities i have excellent youth facilities and my team is youth level 1.Promoting youth players is what i play this game for can u pls help me ?
