Despite multiple efforts this year I had to let my two most talented players go. Goodbye to Arthur Zijm & Ali Zorlu, but a big welcome to a golden generation. For the fifth time in a row we escape from relegation on the last matchday. I'm wondering when we'll ever really compete in this league.

De Rooien's season started badly in October, eventually sinking to the foot of the table, but they were able haul themselves clear to cement their place in the division. On the last matchday. Again.

Is there any reason to sell players? The contract of one of my best (youth) players is expiring in a year, at 17 year old, but apart from the team morale I don't see a reason to sell him now over keeping him. It's not like the money can be spent elsewhere.

After a successful start, 3 points from the last 14 league games were just enough to end 19th and narrowly escape from relegation for the third time in a row. Philippe van Arnhem's, our best and most creative player by a distance, contract is expiring this season, so next season onwards we have to fully rely on youth. To be continued.

'IJsselmeervogels confirm best-ever Keuken Kampioen Divisie finish.' Yes lads, this is what we've all been waiting for. After finishing 19th for 5 years in a row, we managed to end 18th in our 6th season. Youth players are getting good and with another good youth intake we're ready to become a mid table side in the near future.
