  1. Hi All,

    I've been looking at this option;

    However with a better CPU this option (below) would add more longevity, would you consider it a better option? Mainly playing FM and some RTS's and maybe games like Divinity original sin.

    Do you think the top option will suffice? Or is the latter worth spending more? Also, if you can find any alternatives, happy to hear them :)

    Thanks

    It largely depends on what other games you want to play.  The CPU in this one is a bit better, but the graphics card is quite a bit weaker.  So, it'll be a bit better for FM, but may struggle with some other modern games.

    Being completely honest the performance of FM is more important to me than other games, happy to play some old Scholl RTS's and less graphic hungry games so to speak.

    Thanks kev gives me some food for thought.

    This is the best I've found under £800 - very good spec for the price and a decent graphics card as well seeing as you've stated you'd be looking to play other games: https://www.box.co.uk/30029471-Medion-Deputy-P10_3201868.html

    Hey kevhamster, thanks for the swift response.

    I've been looking at this one (below), for an additional £20 do you think it's a better option.

    Additionally, how do you think these would run FM overall. I'd like to run at least 6 leagues (speed isn't a big issue here).

  4. Hey Chaps, looking to get back into Football Manager for the first time in years.

    In regards to budget, I'm looking at around £800 for a laptop ideally, however I could be swayed to a higher budget, if the performance justifies it.

    I want something that is future proofed to a a degree, so presumably a Ryzen 5/7 or Intel 7 would be the best option.

    In regards to other uses, we'll be using it for video streaming and potentially other gaming depending on it's quality - this isn't a deal-breaker though.

    Thanks everyone.
