  1. Just trying to create a new db for England and nothing works. all the tree menu items on left side of screen aren't there except for general which just shows basically league start & end dates and that's all, divisions, secondary divisions, cups, reserve/youth that have always shown until last update have just disappeared. have reinstalled everything and still nothing i have been using the pre game editor for years so i know how it works, so i hate it when these fanboys try to blame the user for doing things wrong, if an experience user is having issue with pre game then there must be an issue somewhere in the code
  2. its not really a bug but an actually change of competition rules that have been ignored or blatantly been missed out, even the 23.2 patch still has no update to the rules. How can removing a tick in a box to remove replays cause issues like a previous SI staff member said earlier, if anything it actually helps fix league scheduling issues as it frees up midweek dates for postponed league games to be played on rather then trying to cramp 5-6 games into 10 days in April or May at end of the league season
  3. Well yet again all these fixes but no fix for FA Trophy having replays for early rounds & semi finals still 2 legged. Both of these rules no longer exist from this season onwards and have not been corrected. How can something so easy to do as remove replays from rules and change semi finals to a single legs still not be fixed. Yet we as users can easily correct it in pre game editor without it causing issues as done this my self and tested for 20 seasons when game was original realised. But when issued was raised in Bug Tracker on game release someone from SI says it not as easy as that to do, but as stated above that is how easy it is to do
  4. It is so easy to fix you just need to change replays number to 0 in the code which is easy to do I have changed it myself in pre game editor & stress tested it for 30 seasons without any issues So how can someone from SI say that due to the nature of issue no timeline can be given
  5. I have seen bug reports for simply basic errors like: 1) FA Trophy rules have been changed by the FA but not updated in Database for all rounds except Final going straight to penalties (no extra time played), The Final has extra time unless both teams agree that the game goes straight to penalties and notify the FA 48 hours before game kick off time of them choosing this option. The following link is to a FA.com pdf file regarding new rules FA trophy rules 2022-23 going forward & these are rules now in affect going forward following changes that were made during Covid pandemic. 2) The issue with the EFL Cup (Carabao Cup) where rounds 1-3 are played on Wednesday & Thursdays with the Semi Finals also being played at neutral venues instead of home & away stadiums. Lets address these 2 issues 1) Is a basic change in the rules that could have easily have been implemented if anyone had gone through and checked any rules update from the FA and then changed the relevant code. 2) has been caused by an additional helper rule that has been added to competitions rules by coders at Si due to this years World Cup. If this was tested properly by QA team this should been spotted and easily rectified for full release I am no expert at using the editor but these are so easy to fix with issue 1 you just take out the number 1 from number of replays box in the editor so surely easy to do in the code string. With issue 2 removing this so call additional helper rule in default code for EFL Cup resolves the fixtures issue with days the games are played for rounds 1-3 and semi finals at neutral returning to normal. Rather than having this addition helper rule that has now caused this issue, why not have the default code and a piece of code for this years competition separately as was the case during Co-vid as when editing EFL Cup in advanced rules there is still code in the advanced rules for EFL Cup 2020 which was a set of rules used during Co-vid. So I would in the normal just move the Quarter Finals to a week later so they happen a week later in December after World Cup has finished but with this it would mean this would happen every season or offset the original date for x amount of days due to clashes for other competitions which has been an option for years in the editor. As England is the one of the major Top 5 playable leagues in game & played by quite a large % of players who like to play long term journeyman or non league to legend type saves. It nots in the interest of these players to start a career game due to these issues unless they are editor savvy and correct these issues first. Have even seen youtubers and streamers on other channels saying about not starting long term saves until issues like these and others are sorted So I have to ask with all the extra staff Si have been hiring over the last year or so in different departments how can basic issues like these 2 examples not be picked up on by coders & QA testers internally before game is released to the public
  6. I think I have found out what is causing this issue plus Rounds 1-3 being played on wrong days while editing & extending England database to add in the regional leagues at level 7 & 8. They have an additional helper in the Carabao Cup rules due to the World Cup being held in November/December and it is this that is moving fixtures to Wednesdays/ Thursday plus it moves the Semi Finals to neutral venue as this is set in these helper rules As when I removed this helper rule from edited database I am creating fixtures for Rounds 1-3 moved back to the normal Tuesdays/Wednesdays and Semi Finals returned to 2 legs at Home & Away stadiums as normal. And before anybody says it about being tried on edited database, like I know someone will. I have also removed this rule from the vanilla database & the same happens fixtures in rounds 1-3 fixtures return to normal Tuesdays/Wednesdays & Semi Finals return to normal 2 legged Home & Away stadiums used
  7. I think I have found out what is causing this issue plus Semi Finals being played on neutral grounds while editing & extending England database to add in the regional leagues at level 7 & 8. They have an additional helper in the Carabao Cup rules due to the World Cup being held in November/December and it is this that is moving fixtures to Wednesday & Thursday. As when I removed this helper rule from edited database I am creating fixtures for Rounds 1-3 moved back to the normal Tuesdays/Wednesdays. And before anybody says it about being tried on edited database, like I know someone will. I have also removed this rule from the vanilla database & the same happens fixtures in rounds 1-3 fixtures return to normal Tuesdays/Wednesdays. These rules are also what is causing the Semi Finals to be played on neutral grounds as this has been set in additional helper rules for World Cup this winter
  8. I have found some teams have the wrong co-ordinates for the town they are in Take South Shields the longitude part of co-ordinate in game says -1.427 which is incorrect it should be -1.259. South Shields is just slightly south west of Newcastle & Newcastle is near the east coast of England. But using the in game co-ordinate of -1.427 means when league realigns happen this moves South Shields to the Northern Premier Division One West league when clearly they should play in the Northern Premier Division One East of this league
  9. Hi guys & girls Have added and activated Levels 7 & 8 to the England database. Rebuilt the FA Cup to include all rounds as IRL so have added all 16 Level 9 leagues to the competition to give 732 teams which have entered the competition this season. (had to add Wallingford & Crowmarsh to Combined Counties Premier Division North as this was the only club missing from the 16 leagues that make up level 9) to get the correct number of teams. All rounds in the FA Cup are played on correct dates except 5th round as moved that back to a Saturday as it used to be before FA had this stupid midweek idea. This is the only change made to competition, all winners & losers prize money for each round is correct is correct as stated on FA.com website. All rounds have correct names as well. Have added back in the TV dates that were in original database as they were except adjust Round 5 dates to match up with the Saturday that ties are now played on. FA Trophy has also been rebuilt to include all 320 teams in Levels 5-8 as IRL. All rounds have correct dates, round names & prize money as stated on FA.com website. Also have added in TV coverage for the Final as satellite as is the case IRL with £50000 to be split been the finalists. Have run DB on holiday to stress test for 10 seasons & found a couple issues where I had FA Cup not working properly. These issues were fixed & a 2nd 10 season stress test was carried out, which ran smoothly without any issues. I feel confident now with the database & want to share it with other users who are looking to play in lowest possible league in England on release of game. England Level 8 DB
  10. The Fa Trophy semi finals as of this season are played as single leg ties yet in game they are still played as 2 leg ties which is incorrect Information regarding round dates is on https://www.thefa.com/competitions/fa-trophy/more/round-dates and clearly shows semi finals as single leg ties now as only 1 date is give for the ties. (used to show 2 dates in previous years) also wikipedia shows semi finals as single leg ties now
  11. As of this season FA Trophy semi finals are played over 1 leg, this information is on the thefa.com website and wikipedia. Yet i have just holiday a season to check things out & FA trophy has 2 legged semi finals which is incorrect
