Hi there!

I have a question regarding team talks in penalty shootouts and team meetings in national teams.

No matter what I pick, I'm never able to change player's moods during penalty shootouts. I have tried different combinations of gestures and sentences, talking to players individually or to everyone at the same time, but it never does anything. Is this normal or is there something I'm missing? Have you ever been able to affect their mood during penalty shootouts? If yes, what options did you use?

When I'm in team meetings in the national team (like when an international competition is about to start, or has concluded), players react positively or negatively to what I say, but regardless of what happens, when concluded, the assistant manager always says that unfortunately there have been no changes at all in players morale and indeed their morale arrows remain exactly the same. Is this because their morale is tied to their clubs and not their national teams? If so, why do we even have the option to conduct these team talks, or again, am I missing something?

[Bad youth players requesting squad player?]

He is asking to be a squad player in the reserve team, not the first. I was also surprised when my players from the reserve team wanted a lot of playing time and then I switched them to the main team, to see if there was a difference and then they asked for much lower playing time. So it seems it's not a bug and working as intended.

[Release clause not working]

I'm trying to buy a player who has a 3 600 000 € release clause for clubs in an international competition. I'm competing in the UEFA Champions league and when I offer 3 600 000 € upfront, the club simply rejects the bid. What am I missing?

Yeah, in real life there are no changes to the KO round (and last 16 if I recall correctly), but those dates were published this year so SI had to guess what the competition calendar would look like.

Apologies, i should have been clearer, the in game rules state this to be the case, hence it isn't a bug. I believe the game came out before the competition structure had been finalised with the impact of Qatar Winter world cup and there was a number of different possibilities being discussed

 

Yeah, that makes sense. I didn't know UEFA had only announced the calendar recently, so SI had to guess as best as possible, what would happen, so definitely working as designed.

That's incorrect. I even attached this year's Europa League where you can clearly see two legs were played between teams.

I thought it could have been that, but I found no mention of rule changes anywhere and on wikipedia it even shows the date of both legs for next season.

I was in the Europa League in the 22/23 season and finished second in the group stage, which meant I had to play in the knockout round play-offs against the teams coming from the Champions League. I was drawn against Ajax and lost the match 1-0. The problem is that I was eliminated from the competition outright, without being able to play a second leg, the same happened for all the other matches. Have the rules for the Europa League been changed? I was pretty sure there were supposed to be 2 legs.

I don't have an option to improve my youth facilities since the start of the game. Is this normal? I played the same team in fm 21 and I was able to do it back then. There just is no option in the board demands menu. What can I do in order to correct this?

I'm posting this here, since I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug.

 

I have been trying to buy the team's stadium for around 5 years now. The board accepts the request and then I need to wait a year for the plans to be approved, but when the time comes, I get this annoying message every single time. The stadium is relatively small and the club is extremely wealthy, so how come they say they have no funds to buy it? How much does it cost? 1 billion?
