I think Canada has been a fantastic step to rejuvenate the safe but I sort of always felt there’d be a cap to it. Are there any other destinations you think might be worth a look at in terms of a next step?

Canada, eh?! Soar-ee. (I’d been saving that while catching up on the last couple of pages. Think I too share the opinion that upon reaching the upper echelon of the game, things start to become a little stale. Then seeing the way you’ve dove back in like this really has me considering a return to the depths on my own game. Will just require re loading some/lots of the lower leagues again. Man, what a story teller you are. The lengths at which you go to set the scene are simply unmatched. Never mind the detail you then provide based around the actual gameplay. This current chapter so far has elevated this thread to new heights. Cannot wait to see how it all unfolds.

I can say for sure that I’ve been sacked while on holiday before. So that would strike me as “active”. I understand your uncertainty though. Feels dangerous adding/removing leagues when you’re already so deep.

Are we talking about some kind of starting over situation here? But obviously in a vastly different game world. if so, I rate this idea highly. Something I’ve often thought about doing myself, but not yet had the chance to undertake.

Finding the gems is something that I’ve found a lot harder following the changes to scouting. But man it feels good when you find them.

This is exactly the type of chasing the dragon that keeps us all going too. Especially with an approach such as yours where it’s about built, not bought.

Can you really call yourself an FM player if you haven’t brought in a few aging “stars” for the feels. A pretty impressive hit rate too to be getting performances out of Raya and Goretzka

I feel like this is such a key element that so many FM players don’t consider when it comes to intakes. Judgement on an intake almost always comes down to how it will impact the Users first team. Honestly, the time required is not surprising. Sometimes this kind of thing is a little too much of a niche compared to what FM can realistically achieve. The fun though, can be found in the process of trying to replicate rather than actually achieving the end result. Either way, I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

I need to come back and read this latest update but I just had to say this before it slipped my mind. I thought of you immediately when I saw that Hammarby post on X. So I was rather pleasantly surprised to see that it made its way into the thread.

I’ll very graciously accept your return to attributes as I will most definitely take advantage of your skin now, I tried without atts but it’s just too much to take in without appropriate playing time to sink into it all.

Here I am 😂. What a wonderful start this has gotten off to. Really enjoy the concept, couple geographical areas of the game that I’ve never paid much attention too so I get to enjoy this all as new. Also, just wanted to make a special mention to the moustache on that CB in the intake, absolutely outstanding.
