  1. What does this have to do with squad building? I mean, I highly doubt that anyone at SI takes enjoyment in ruining anyone's save, so if you think the money has been removed for no reason you should log it as a bug to be checked. If not, wouldn't it be better to try to understand why it has happened? Did you have to repay installments/loans? It sounds more like an issue of poor financial management to me.
  2. It's not about magically preparing, just about maximizing chances. Having a tactic you use a against bigger teams in the tactic rotation means that tactical familiarity will increase by training in it. It will also increase by using it, which if you're Ajax at the start of a career, will probably mean using it extremely rarely in the Eredivise (close to never, depending on how Feyenoord/PSV progress) plus the six or more CL matches you play each year. More likely than not, you'll not play those using the same tactic you use against weaker Eredivise opposition. Will the familiarity be perfect? No, but it's definetly usable and I would argue better than what OP is currently using. Hard to do any worse than always lose
  3. I understand the reason for introducing it, although I would've personally preferred that the time that went into working that into the game was spent on other issues, especially the more blatant ones that have been plaguing the game for years such as fixing once and for good player interactions. But that's just me, I usually play one, max two, saves a year and stick to those teams for that FM release. I understand how it could be an interesting change of scenary for players that experiment with a much larger number of saves a year. Even if I ended up having the time, not knowing all that much about the women's game and not having international football to ease into it would be kind of a deal breaker for me.
  4. I don't think that the suggestion was to use unfamiliar tactics, rather to build more than one tactic and have the team increase its familiarity with them all. I usually have 2/3, which sounds like something that would make a lot of sense for OP, as the teams he will be facing in CL matches will have a very different approach and quality level compared to his usual Eredivise opponents.
  5. But is all that really a good reason for me not to be able to know their weight? Honestly it's not this insane of a request. If so, why was it introduced in the game in the first place? I feel like the answer is simply: because it makes a lot of sense.
  6. What honestly baffles me a bit is the inconsistency between different parts of the same announcement. Only 5.6% of players play as NT managers, so we're taking that out. On it's own this would be fair enough, at least for me personally, since it's been undoubtedly in need of a revamp for a long time now, so I can understand the idea of not wanting to put something in the game if you're not pleased with how it looks. But in the very next next paragraph... "We've been laser-focused on introducing Women's Football to FM in the most authentic way possible." Seriously? I understand why as a company SI probably have to go down this path, but I find it hard to believe that the majority of FM players would prefer a game with Women's Football in it rather than a fixed International Management system. Absolutely no disrespect to Women's Football here, but these two statements in the same announcement are a bit of a joke.
  7. I don't know the rules for the specific competition, but if you navigate in game to any competition it includes squad registration and match day rules that should provide you the answer
  8. This seems to be an issue for me as well, little to no scouting reports coming in from good scouts with knowledge of the countries where they have been sent.
  9. From what I have seen last time I played, the number of appearances shown seemed like the number of friendlies. The issue was still in my save, although it was started in the beta.
  10. Will only weigh in on the first part as the second sounds just like the latest instance of broken player interactions. But I feel like the first point might not be a bug. If you're playing as Atalanta or Juventus and your reserve team plays in Serie C, a loan player coming back in January and then playing one game for your reserve team will have now played for two teams in the same season, and your first team (or any other team) would count as third team in the same season, which is not allowed by FIFA rules.
  11. Still might need to be higher to improve realism, but I'm glad to hear it's happening in saves. Just thought I'd ask as it felt really odd to have never seen it in two full seasons
  12. These are minor points, but: Has a penalty been disallowed after VAR check in your saves yet? I'm two full seasons in, and haven't seen a single penalty call disallowed by VAR. Sort of breaks the game immersion and the anxiety/excitement I should be feeling once a ref is called to VAR. Especially since IRL, if a penalty is allowed and the ref is called for a VAR check, it usually means there's something important he has missed, therefore the penalty rarely will stand. Seems to be the entire opposite in FM. Why does a highlight pop up, just for nothing to happen for 10 seconds... Because the team doctors are on the pitch to carry someone out? Why in the world would I need to see that? It just makes the highlight start off "wonky" as I keep wondering if the game broke down.
  13. Were it to drop in the next few hours I'd have the whole evening and night to play, while I probably wouldn't be able to play until next Wednesday if it dropped later. So it's definetly not dropping today lol
  14. Couldn't you look at this also the other way around? Just to make an example, Mitoma could have been a player born with 160 PA in FM that has then stagnated around the 110 mark for a few years due to a variety of reasons. Then, after the move to Brighton, he's now in the perfect conditions for his PA to show and he's finally reaching what he has always had the potential to achieve. Honestly I find the above a much more realistic condition to implement in FM, instead of a dynamic PA. There would certainly be the need to adjust how the current player development is working, as a Mitoma situation would call for an attribute increase that is much quicker and less progressive than how regular player development works in FM, but I would personally love to see something like this implemented in game.
  15. Honestly I find praising the AI pretty wild as, in the vast majority of cases, it's exactly any interaction with said AI that completely breaks how immersive the simulation feels. Whether it's unbelievably stupid AI squad building, player/squad/board talks or press conferences, the AI is by far what should be top of the list for a revamp.
