    Looks like the issue is still present on the latest update. Loaded the top 4 leagues in Playable, the rest of the leagues in view only, and all international competitions in Full Detailed mode. Average age is very high.

    Should have not released the game on November then and should have waited until it was free of any game-breaking bugs.

    I honestly don't understand how QE overlooked the buggy match engine. Although the match engine has very high potential, there are very obvious bugs that you can test after like only an hour of gameplay. For that bug to not be sorted before BETA and there were no patches after BETA and won't be until mid December is a bit mind blowing. I believe QA is getting worse for Football Manager over time.

    Severely underpowered on max youth recruitment. No PA above 130 and no CA above 80.

    I just use in-game editor to transfer players now as every player with greater than 80+ CA and 120+ PA under the age of 21 asks for atleast 7-10 millions pounds. It's pretty unrealistic on how strict the AI manager is at selling players which makes every transfer window uneventful. Teams like Man City, Liverpool and Man Utd doesn't even buy more than 1 player every window because of this.

    I agree. We finally have a good balance this year when it comes to defensive tactics.

    FM 22 nerfed early growth for youth players. Honestly even in FM 23, I wish player development was a bit more faster. I believe it could also be related to this bug ->

    I got West Ham on top of the league with 5 at the back and low block playing in Defensive Mentality on Counter-Attack/Long Balls alone. I have 3 different tactics based on the team I play against. It's really not that hard. It's fun in a way that Gegenpress is not the only way to play this year.

    I guess this won't be fixed for the December patch, it's a shame.

    Can you share your save and possible a match replay PKM file? For me, low black works pretty well when playing with a weak team as opposed to gegenpressing but then again, sometimes stats like anticipation, stamina and tackling doesn't have a lot of impact which could allow a weak team to gegenpress without any issues.

    I completely agree with you. The ME has the best base out of any other ME's from the past. It just have 2 glaring issues which I really hope they fix in the December update. I love the chaos, the interesting tactics that works(no one op tactic) and the first touch of players as well as passing ability having more impact(no more bad teams having 89% pass completion). There are a lot of things to like about the ME this year and with those 2 glaring issues fixed, I can enjoy playing this game a lot.

    My wingers refuses to dribble and only my full-backs and wing-backs wants to dribble. There needs to be more occurrences for wingers to dribble and cut inside.

    I have followed your thread and loaded all the leagues and set most of the big leagues in full detail. Hope it will result in more decent youth products that can be used across all the teams. I will also use In Game Editor to boost their reputation too since that's the biggest factor on who AI Manager decides to pick.

    The problem is, I am having issues on club level too. Teams like Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and pretty much any Premier League team, the average age keeps increasing to unrealistic level. Maybe there are two different issues we are talking about here.

    I think SI really need to focus on bugs. Release a game without any new features but with most of the bugs fixed. This year, there were no major additions so I was hoping they spend all this time improving little things and fixing bugs but nope. Feels like majority of the time spend by SI this year was to add useless features.

    The main stable release of FM 2023 will be after December. This still plays like BETA with tons of issues with some game-breaking issue.

    Long Term save is still broken because AI Managers still refuse to play Youth over 30 years old players. So disappointing.
