Does anyone know how I can increase the wage available to offer to retain my head of youth development in FM23 please? He wants about 4k but I'm capped at 1.4k for some reason.

Thanks, that was my thinking too but perhaps in FM world it means in contention until the final game or something? -
So when signing 2 players I promised that we'd challenge for the Premier League title by 2031 and we finished second, but as soon as Man City won it with 36 games played (we'd played 35 and had 2nd wrapped up) they both started moaning that I'd failed to deliver, so I'm wondering just how close you have to come to fulfill that promise?

I have a similar problem as Carlisle United in 2031 (on FM19) and my wage budget hasn't increased in 3 or 4 seasons, and although I was comfortably under I'm now getting dangerously close to it as everyone wants top wages. I'm hoping that when the new stadium is complete it will bring in more revenue and the board will increase the budget...

Just save your game before every match and replay it if you don't like the result; then you'll always win! Or alternatively, try and figure out why you lost and strive to do better next time.

Sometimes I'll give a general talk before the match or at half time and a player will be motivated, then if I also speak to them individually or their unit they'll change to looks happy, which feels like a mistake to me. Surely motivated is better than happy? What do you guys think? I'm still playing FM19 btw in case it's changed since then, cheers.

What made you both plump for Milani though? Just the better technical and mental averages or something else? I'm wondering if they're as close as I think they are or if I'm missing something obvious. Cheers

Thanks for your analysis. It is a tough choice and I've flip-flopped a few times. How did you decide his personality is less desirable please? Was it just the awkward social group con? If so please see my latest screenshot, it could just be his nationality compared to the rest of my squad?

Ferner is taller so I guess it matters less for him

Oh, and will Olly be lonely if I sell Milani or will he just move into another social group? I wouldn't like to upset him as he's a star player

I want to keep one and sell one at the end of the season but I'm struggling to decide, any thoughts? FM19 btw. Currently in Jan and Linus has Physical as a "Pro" as well.
