We can't call it Non-League to legend, right?
Welcome to my attempt at "National League to Legend" where I'll be taking charge of my local side Torquay United with no coaching badges and a Sunday league reputation, the aim? To take myself to the top and win the Premier League and Champions League.
This isn't a one a club save, this is a journeyman around the English league with a view to getting to the top as quick as possible.
I will be starting, as mentioned previously as Torquay United in the National League South, from there the country is my oyster, I won't be applying for jobs but when interviews come in I can then decide if I want to move on, I want it to be as realistic as possible so I will judge every job offer on that basis.
Welcome to Torquay!
Interestingly we are predicted to end top of the league, something I didn't realise when I decided on this save, this could be tough.
The board want a playoff spot this season with a view to getting promoted to the National League next season.
The supporters however expect promotion this season.
We have a decent sized ground for this level and decent facilities, promotion is a must, from there, if we can gain revenue I'll then look to improve the facilities.
We need to somehow improve the finances, this really can only be done via player sales or a decent run in the FA Cup, projections shows a big loss over the next three seasons.
The first team squad is quite small but we do have some half-decent players there.
Aaron Jarvis - Striker
Tom Lapsile - Central Midfield
Lewis Collins - Winger
We also have a raft of highly rated youngsters in the Under 18s.
Now its time to assess all the players and get a tactic sorted, I'll be back at the start of the season
