  1. Heya, I'm not asking you to fix this FM24, but for future FMs you should really take a look at this: Both the Board and Supporter feedback on my tactics is incorrect. I have a C+ grade in both of them because both are concerned my playstyle "allows too many goals". Mathematically my #1 ranked EFL2 defense has allowed fewer goals/game than any EFL2 team in the IRL 23/24 season OR any PL team for that matter. It seems impossible for me to get an A grade in that category. I'm not sure what that feedback grading is based off of, but it should be tied to actual statistics from the season I'm playing if my grading as a coach in the game is also based on it. It seems like it is tied to specific playstyles maybe, b/c otherwise I don't understand how I can have the #1 defense, the #1 ranked team, and a 4/1 goal to conceded ratio nearly halfway through the season and have any fan or board member be "concerned" about my defensive structure. Honestly, it's also weird that the fans are more concerned about the "Club vision" than they are about the club tactics. Most fans I know are way more concerned about how good the transfers, ranking, defense, or offense are than whether or not the club is achieving the board's "vision" for the team. See the attached screenshots for reference. Thanks!
  2. I've set permissions to 0% control of contracts to anyone but myself on both tabs and my GM is still renewing a contract for a player I want to sell or dump at the end of the season. I've gone through both contracts tabs and re-submitted the permissions just to be sure and it still didn't work. I've included a screenshot of the relevant tab for this contract. The other tab is set to the same for all incoming contracts as well. Also just to see if it would help, I tried to set the player's transfer status to sell on the transfer list and put him on the unwanted list and had a conversation with the agent to sell him and the GM still renewed the contract even after doing all of that. GM"s gone rogue, please fix. Thanks!
  3. I have a player I would like to loan out and my GM is rejecting all loans. I am listed as in charge of that aspect of contracts in Staff -> Resp. -> Contracts. I'm in charge of all of them, he should never be making any decisions on them. I have a loan mgr, but I don't have any settings for him and this player is not on the loan manager list. Is that what is creating the bug? Do I need to add him to the list? I even tried reloading the save right before this and changing a bunch of settings for his loan in the transfer area to match the one that just came in and it did nothing. Tried the same on the "Offer via TransferRoom" menu and also nothing. Prior to me taking over the club this player was listed for sale, that also could be part of the bug. I've tried to remove his sale tag and just have a loan and vice versa, also resulted in no change. Thanks!
  4. Thread Update: Thank you for resolving my issue with the DM'd fixed save!
  5. Hello, No rush to resolve. Just a bug FYI. May have an impact on my game, but unlikely it'll have a major one. Issue: On the Training > Individual sheet the last position my player is listed-circled as playing on the 'Training Position' chart is 'AM-R'. The Position-Role-Duty selected for that player is also 'AM-R - Playing Position'. However, the Training Report at the middle bottom of that sheet says my coach has him now training as 'right back'. See attached image. What I have done to attempt to resolve, to no affect: -I have downloaded the final update and created a new save and loaded that save (but I honestly don't know if that caused the problem or not b/c it's been 2 weeks since I've played). -I tried switching his 'Position-Role-Duty' to something else to see if that would prompt a change on the 'Training Report'. -I tried switching the coach to see if another coach would say the same thing, some of them do. -I tried continuing to the next day to see if the error would persist. Potential causes: -As he is a 21 Fringe player I may have manually selected him as a player in the last U21 game (at the Inbox prompt screen whenever it last popped up offering that suggestion). The coach may have assigned him as a RB in that U21 game, and that is what the Training Report may be pulling from (because 'Position-Role-Duty' 'general' choice is usually a reflection of the last position played). -See the parenthetical note in my first resolution item above.
  6. HI @Zachary Whyte I've seen from another post of the same issue for the same team (Wrexham) back in November (except he was at EFL1 not EFL2 like I am), and that it took about a month to resolve the issue, so I know it's resolvable. Will that be the case with mine? Just looking for a general window so I know if I have to go find a long-term game to play in the meantime. The FA player in question that I brought onboard my team related to this error is now arguably the best player on my team. I won't be able to play him in anything but cup matches because of this error for the next 6 months in this save, which means he'll get upset with me and make it very hard to manage him, assuming he doesn't outright demand to leave. He may also significantly tank in ability b/c his last team shorted him on playing time too. This all means I basically can't play the team I've put about 150-200 hours into. I've done plenty of QA/Scrum, so I get you've got a ticket flow & officially don't promise to fix prior to subsequent release/fix windows, but if anyone can raise the priority on this, it's equivalent to a crashed non-functioning game for me. Thanks, -Dhirvish
  7. The most recent one I've uploaded to your system is: Dhirvish Whirling - Wrexham 2.608.fm It should only be a few saves after the event and I don't think any major changes. If you need the specific save where it happened I probably have it, but I'd need to dig a bit.
  8. After the January window I signed a FA (EFL 2). I initiated the contract offer during the "transfer day" countdown and left open 1 spot on my squad as I anticipated he'd be joining me in a week or so. He joined me, I went to registration, and it allowed me to "check button" him, but it would not let me "confirm" at the bottom. I saved the game, went to the next day, saw he was still unregistered, searched and found this thread, quit my game, reloaded and he is magically registered now. When I reloaded the NEXT save, he was then back to un-registered. So, if someone has a fix for this, I'd be greatly appreciative. Iirc there should be an option when I sign him (in the Inbox) to register from there, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
  9. FYI I just had the same issue (which I thought I resolved, but then un-resolved itself). After the January window I signed a FA. 11. If you click on the double-shoulder-head-thing for a staff update (top right of the player card), and it provides you with an update re the player's "current ability": that update is not simultaneously reflected on the coach report. The coach report will still show old "current ability" information. See image. 1) Popped out "staff player update" shows the player is "Good Sky1"; and 2) "coach report" shows player is "Leading Sky2". If I check back the next day, it doesn't change.
  12. I have transfer listed several players who then later require I have a conversation with them about how they are going to "explore their options" at the end of their contract. It seems unnecessary for me to have that conversation with them. It's not a huge deal to have the conversation. All I have to do is have the conversation and then they're "so happy I agreed to them exploring their options". But it's a weird/immersion killing dialogue to be required to have with many of the player I list. I feel like even one of the players who already had a loan/transfer offer earlier this season that I'd accepted/club had agreed to still wanted to have this conversation string with me. Like dude, you're leaving the club and the club agreed to it, we're aware that either there is an issue or might be at some point after the loan is done/you're transferred & we don't care: you're transfer listed bud & officially surplus to requirements, we either don't need to talk about this or we will later. In short: players who are a) listed for transfer, b) have been offered to clubs, c) are on the "unwanted list" AND d) have also been marked as "surplus to requirements" playing time (all 4 of which are the case with several of the players I'm talking about): should not need to have a dialogue prompt with me about whether or not I care if they "think about" not staying at the club at the end of their contract 6 months from the prompt window/0-3 months after I've listed them. I would think that being in just one of those 4 categories would be enough to stop that conversation string from happening.
  13. Edit: I've checked, the resolution of the game is set correctly to default 1920 for Acer XF270H. Win 10, Nvidia GTX1060 6GB, v.526.98, FM23 files have been validated on Steam. Interestingly I can't find FM23 on the GeForce Experience, but I can find TWO copies of FM22...so I'll look into that, cuz that seems weird. And I found part of what might be the problem. Here is my ticket recap to Nvidia via their Experience app (v. 3.26.0.154): "Football Manager is pointed at the FM manager 2023 folder (to the left of "Launch button on home screen) but is pulling back the FM22 icon under the "Games and Apps", as well as under the header, AND launching FM22 instead of FM23. In short, it thinks it's pulling FM23 info into the GeForce Experience, and seems to be pointed at that folder, but is instead pulling it from the FM22 folder (which is also showing up as an option right above that and appears to be pointed at the correct FM22 folder)." I have restarted my PC since the driver update, scanned my PC to force any corrections, checked to make sure GeForce was scanning the right drives, and checked to make sure that it was actually FM23 inside that folder it is pointing to, which it is. It contains the FM23 .exe file etc. & I see no FM22 anything at a top level visual scan of that folder's contents.
  14. Save game name: Dhirvish Whirling - Wrexham 1.5042.fm (ownCloud from FAQ) Description of issue: Subbed players frequently don't want to be subbed on and morale drops. Steps to reproduce: Be winning a game by at least 2-4 goals. Sub a player on at least at the 60 min mark, for sure after the 70 min mark. Morale status says: "Would have rather stayed on the bench" for most of my players that I sub on (90+%). Most are Fringe playing time or below. And even players who are break out, youngster, etc., suffer from poor morale at least 50% of the time when I sub them on, especially if we're winning a game by more than 1 goal. That's even if my pep talk is successful (it will be a positive result during the talk, and then they'll completely ignore that it was a successful event). Absolutely NONE of those players, or the 1 "trial" player I brought to my team should ever be complaining about any time on the pitch. That makes 0 sense. I saw someone post on a pre-launch board somewhere with the same issue (subbing issue morale comments), so I know it's not just me. It's pretty normal in football to sub on a younger/fringe player at that point if you're up, and generally they want the playing time, frequently it may be the only time they get on in league game in their whole career. Those SAME players will then complain about not getting enough playing time after the game ("concerned" for weeks on end regardless of if I've started them 3 games in a row). I found last year in FM22 that a "Fringe" player wanted 15-20 full games worth of playing time on average to be "happy", and well over 10 full games in a 45-game season to be "satisfied". That's WAAAY more than they should be expecting as someone with 1.5-2.5 stars on a team with 10-15 3-4.5 star players. The whol thing basically means I can't have ANY star or important players, or several somebody's become unhappy no matter how I dole out the playing time, which is ridiculous b/c there are numerical boundaries on the number of games before the season starts, and I take that into account with negotiations of every player & during game setting time adjustments as the season goes by. And then I get grief from trying to balance it out with sub time, during the game. And even if we over perform in every cup and get extra time to play/start, they still complain as if they're working off an adjusted percentage instead of their total starts vs expected number of games for the team by experts at the start of the season. And even if I'm playing them exactly how the physio & med staff recommend. I get a few divas, fine whatever, but it's well over 33-50% of the top 20-25 players in my club every season & every team I coach. It's too many that ignore contracts, ignore my requests, ignore reason, ignore their personal health, ignore that they have teammates who should get some games too. I've even got rn 3 star/important players with 22-24 games that they've started by Mid-Jan (33 games total so far incl. cups) & they're "concerned" about their playing time. I just checked & IRL for those players was 38-46 games the past 2 seasons, which they're on track to hit/exceed in my team, (which they've commented publicly IRL they were happy with their playing time, & one is a captain on both my team and IRL). And even if they weren't happy IRL, I think that's plenty reasonable given injury expectations etc., but is ALWAYS an issue with players with that designation: so...WTF? They should at worst be "satisfied". I literally can't play them any more than I do or they're at High-risk injury per the Doc. I even try to slip a few of those games in too. It's like they're begging for injury, which makes no sense for players at 28-30yo. And I can't sub them off b/c the players complain who come on...and then several of my team NEED to be subbed b/c they demanded playing a 3 game in 7 days schedule every week and crap out after 45 minutes in two of the games with 13-14+ stamina *faceplam* even if they're "Excellent" & "Fully fit" prior to game start (with high fitness stats). Gigantic unmanageable pain. On the same topic: The score of the game honestly has WAAY too much effect on player morale just in general. A lot of these players have "fairly professional" attitudes, and then just give up as soon as they're up by 2 goals. And I've tried several different shouts at those players during the game and there's usually only one that works, (if at all) to remedy it, and only for 10 min or so. There're 3-4 different kinds of complacency, and most of the shouts don't work to fix the problem. I shouldn't have team captains with 13+ leadership and an almost entire team of starter players who make 2-5x the average salary in the league with 12-14+ determination & teamwork w/ Perfect morale (pre-game) ALL giving up at the halfway point in the game vs a top 5 team in our league just because they're up a couple goals. We're only up like 6 pts on the pack, we can't afford to drop a bunch of games on that, and they should be acting accordingly, and I shouldn't have to remind them every 15 minutes. The level of busy work that it takes to keep up morale is really what kills the fun quick in this game, & not just talking '23. Some is ok, but it feels like all I'm doing is herding cats by a certain point in the season: for 4-5 months of each season, the game in a nutshells is just: "did I rotate enough for morale, have I had a conversation to praise/scold for morale 4x times this week for each player on the WHOLE SQUAD & which shout should I do for morale for the whole squad AGAIN this game AFTER both my pregame and halftime talk". Too. many. morale. minigames.
  15. Sorry if this has been posted, I ran a couple searches and didn't see it. If you go to the area listed in the Title above, you'll frequently see a "Physio Recommendation" below the Intensity level. Whatever they 'recommend', be it Half Intensity or Double Intensity, half of that phrase is 'cut off' and is 'behind' the Weaker Foot Training header. See attached picture. It's been like this since I started playing Beta a week or so ago. I don't see any settings anywhere to change what the game's adapted screen resolution should be (IE if it should be set to my 1950 screen). Video drivers are up to date. While I'm here and talking about it, (not that this is an Art issue) but if I set that to "Automatic" it doesn't actually automatically change to whatever the Physio recommends. It'd save a LOT of my time if I could just have a setting for that one feature. I want to control everything else BUT that for training, I trust them on that issue. I have to go in every single day and change it to whatever the physio recommends for every first team player, it's really annoying, I should be able to tell them: do what the physio recommends.
