Appreciate the offer. Not going to venture to more serious gaming, so trust the 8GB will do fine. After all, I'm using one with 8GB now and can't say I'm having problems.. Great advice, thanks for your help!

Thanks loads for detailing the options! Your comments really put into perspective what the money is spent on when going up or down in cost. I'll probably still go for the top budget option as I'm wary I'll eventually just want to get out more of the machine or certainly just a hassle-free overall performance. Could I just get your advice on the RAM situation - there's a lot of noise on how 8GB just isn't enough for today's computer & 16GB should be the minimum. Is this justified or is 8GB still sufficient to satisfy basic day to day use and of course FM processes?

Hi All! Would really appreciate recommendation for a new laptop.. I am in the UK, budget's up to £700. Normally play FM with ~5 leagues, graphics loaded, preferably 3D. This laptop is bought with a primary purpose of just playing FM23+. So, at first I was going to ask if you could offer simply the cheapest reliable model, however, assuming there is still not going to be anything below ~£400? If that is right, I would rather just spend more of the budget to get some more longevity and versatility (my usual use: internet, tv/music streaming, basic photo/video edit, basic office work). Much appreciated.
