  1. Currently running the 4231 SLOV2109 and getting good results. Won the Dutch League with Vitesse in 1 season then got Crystal Palace 2nd in the prem in 1 season now running it with Man Utd and Top of the league by 5 points by December. Great tactic but I rarely keep clean sheets. Annoyingly will let in a consolation or end up in high score draws, rarely lose though so extremely spoilt with this tactic. However the EF 4321 A MT112 intrigues me. I have put this in for about 10 games, ended up smashing Arsenal away 5-0! and it's defintely been better defensively. Seeing less goals from the AF and other players like the IF chipping in, but interested to try and work out why this tactic seems to be more solid defensively when it's running an attacking mentality compared to the other one running on positive. I am favouring the 4231 SLOV2 109 purely because on your test it cleaned up winning everything whereas the EF 4321 AMT112 didn't (I suspect because of the attacking mentality) Any chance @Knap you could make a hybrid 4231 out of these 2 tactics which gives you the solid defence without comprimising on it's ability to clean up?
  2. Yeah it's a really good 4-2-3-1 option, currently top of Serie A with Atlanta after 16 games by a point and managed to beat Napoli away 1-2 after going a goal down (also disabled transfers until Jan - so haven't improved the squad). To be honest the IW Arsenal 339 106 is also very good so I have that as a secondary option if I start to see a dip in performance. Either way two excellent 4-2-3-1 tactics.
  3. Awesome thanks very much for running that test on this tactic very helpful cheers @knap
  4. I have this tactic and the Arsenal IW 339 plugged into my Atlanta team, kinda switiching between the 2, trying to decide which one to stick with longer term. The PSG AM112 seems to be a little more solid but with the Arsenal IW 339 being consistent across the lower league test making me think I should stick with that. This got me curious to see out of the 2 which one would perform better across the lower league test - which I assume spits out the best performing tactics across all levels of teams - the Arsenal IW 339 106 being ahead by some distance on the combined points total.
  5. @knap Any Chance you can run this one through the lower league test, be interesting to see how this does against the WOF 4231 IW 339 ARSENAL 106 EC ME23.2WOFKnap4231AMPSGP112ECCC.fmf
  6. This tactic seems incredible based on the above stats. Not yet tried it but I am assuming with the Attacking mentality it's much more suited to Liverpool/Man City/PSG etc. Any benfit in running this with Balanced mentality for sub top side like Man Utd or Tottenham? worth a test??
  7. Any chance you could update the top Beowolf 4231 tactics for the new ME (unless they have been done already)? ME 23.1 BEOWULF VOL 2 4231 IW VOL P105 EC FA ME 23.1 BEOWULF BAL TIG 4231 IF VOLP107 EC CC ME 23 V1 BEOWUFF 4231 IF VOL P106 A CC Cheers
  8. @Par1shahaha absolutely bang on about Maguire! first player out the door for me! ha! Awesome thanks for the heads up, some great info I will check that out this weekend when I plan to spend a good few hours in the game. I too prefer to look for a tactic based on alot of goals and conceding less. I also like to see goals spread arounnd my attacking players like the wide players and the AMC not just the AF. The 4231 is defo the formation I like best I just need to find one and stick to it, with so many options I'm constantly thinking whether I am running the best 4231 tactic or whether I should switch to a different one. The one I am using now BEOWULF 4231 IW VOL P103 EC FA has really good GF and GD ratings and it's working well. I can win the league no worries but I will end up smashing City 5-0 and then go lose to southampton away 4-1 or Palace will do me 5-3 or something and it's then when I start looking for a better more consistent 4231 or 451 option
  9. @knapAwesome cheers, I will defo have a play around with the above 2 tactics, their results look superb based on pts and GD etc
  10. @fc.cadoni oh ok nice one cheers for that, interested to see how these 2 tactics do across the tests because they look excellent based on the below stats
  11. @daniel.camponovoYeah I am the same, much prefer 4231 over a 424 because 4231 is more realistic in the real world so there are are way more options in terms of players available to fit that system. I like a 451 also so pretty stoked to see the last 451 posted rack up 110 points and zero losses and now this 4231 which is looking like it is compteing across the tests against the 424's
  12. Nice one cheers @knap so on the test above I assume that CA160 / CA140 / CA120 represents the tactic in each of those leagues and you just add up the points to get the total for the HUB test? so for this 4231 tactic the HUB test total is 442pts which puts it as the 3rd best tactic on your HUB test right? if so that is decent and I will be trying this tactic out in my save this weekend for sure.
  13. I have been using this tactic with Man Utd with some success, attacking wise it's really good and I like that the the IW and the AM chip in and get plenty of goals and assists to support the AF however it's quite volatile away from home and it's pretty low on the HUB test scoring 374 total points. Which is making me think I should switch to the higher scoring 4231 formation on the HUB test (BEOWULF 4231 IF VOL 103 FA CC which scored 415pts) Would the below tactic score higher on the HUB test if the mentality was set to Balanced? I say this because although lower on the HUB test score it batters the BEOWULF 4231 IF VOL 103 FA CC on GD by quite some margin! Alternatively is there a 4231 formation around that can score into the 430pts area on the HUB test? I note the BEOWULF BAL TIG 4231 IF VOLP107 EC CC @knapposted above a few hours ago which looks solid is there a HUB test score for this tactic? I'd like to stick with a 4231 ideally as there are just so many good midfielders in the game right now Cheers
  14. @Knap Awesome. The tactics are superb so thanks for all the work that goes into them, makes the game so much more enjoyable for me. The tactic I am using now is great, as have the others I've tried, you've spoilt me for choice so when I smash Liverpool 4-1 at Anfield I'm starting to berate my players for conceding 1 and end up thinking "would that other tactic have gotten me a 5-0 win instead!" Top man, totally hooked on FM23 now so I might be single again with no social life by the summer! happy days!
  15. Apologies my dumbness, I have only recently revisted Football Manager after the game nearly ruined any chance I had of getting a career & social life in my late teens and 20s! So I am a bit green with the lingo regarding the tactics and stuff. But what actually is a HUB test? Any tactic that has the highest points in the HUB test are the most consistent right? I notice though there are 2 hub tests one from the Knap google sheet and one from the Discord Tactics Hub (both highlighted below) Which list is the go to? I am current;y using the highlighted 4231 below, got a great score on the Discord HUB test but in the relegation zone on the Knap HUB Test. I am old school I can't be doing with 424 and 361 formations happy with a 451 or 4231 even if its not the top tactic. I notice the BEOWULF 4231 IF VOL P103 FA CC on the knap hub test has a 415 score over a 374 with what I am currently using, Would switiching to the higher score on the knap hub test be the smart move?
