To enhance mine (and others) enjoyment of Football Manager, I would like to suggest the game creators to improve the game engine to improve the whole training experience, in the following ways:
The ability to visit the training ground (off the training tab) whenever you choose. Tracksuit managers will be able to oversee or even take part in training sessions. This will give you a better overview of game plans, players development etc.
You will be able to see for yourself, which players are training well to aid match day selections (if deciding between which squad member starts ahead of another).
Which players are Improving their specific role attributes ie crossing, chance creation, defending against attackers etc.
You'll be able to try specific game plans ahead of big games. One example could be which of your players convert the greatest percentage of their penalties in training.
You'll be able to work on new set pieces such as corners, where you can specifically have players in individual positions and the net effect of those placements.
The ability (according to your clubs finances) to make specific improvements to your training complex to keep up with the very latest technologies (Sleep pods, increase gym size, specific equipment).
You will also be able to survey the complex. Develop the surround area (as your team grows and finances become more abundant), For career mode players, as your team climbs through the divisions, you'll see your facilities improve, which in turn will improve your teams performance. Even link it to your teams ability to aid your youth intake.
In the training experience perhaps you could somehow work closer with Sports Scientists/Physio's to improve player performance or avoid injuries. Maybe have an option to overhaul the dietary needs for the team (or individual players) with input from back room staff.
Perhaps you could consider some of these changes, to give players an even more fully immersive gameplay (if they should choose to).
