  1. Did some testing myself and since I thought going meta attributes 20 and all the others 1 is way too extreme. Let's try a more realistic type of experiment. So I decided to take charge of the Luton team, and gave all the outfield players in the first team (23 players) the following attributes: just slightly above average physicals for the PL imo. (85-92ca) The results in one simulated season Premier League (pretty standard formation that I use since fm 18) were staggering:
  2. Can someone explain me this, am I living in a lie? How are they first?
  3. Almost every single team on my league is overperforming their xG. Together the 18 teams have +90 (90! more goals than what can be expected) which on average equals 5 too many goals scored per team on 20 matches. Need an urgent fix for this.
  4. So talks before and halftime with your team don't have any affect on your players whatsoever? That's very very bad. Also, why is a game that's being played simultaneously with mine, sees a goal in minute 73 and 81 and fails to tell me during the game, it still said 0-0 when i reached full time, and then in the end results they won 2-0. Great for your live experience, NOT.
  5. Valid point, you want to see other clubs in your league spend their money, try their best to get better every year. But they hold on their players way too long, players who are obviously not good enough to reach their target. Why are other teams not striving to get better in this game, they are just there and get worse and worse every year. Why don't they have any knowhow how to build a competitive squad with rotation options? For me this is more important than a fancy match engine. The challenge is simply not there in the lower leagues.
  6. It's not even the biggest problem in any case. The difficulty of the game is way too low and the high conversation rates are just making it more blatant. I found the earlier versions of the game way more challenging. I understand the barrier for new players can't be too high, but did they ever consider different level of difficulties for different kind of players. If not, they should. I'm anything but a tactical genius, but I feel this game is not for me. I'm pretty sure in the current state that back to back promotions from the lowest to the highest English league is very much achievable, do we really want that?
  7. You know the game is bad, when your striker has 100 shots in total for the season, manages to get 63 of them on target and scored 39 goals from it. Conversation rate of 39%. Bonkers. Also more than 10 players in the league managed to get a conversation rate of more than 30%. Unplayable for players who want a realistic football game. I beat the champion and runner-up of last season with 6-2 in consecutive games.
  8. Penalties are a joke. Tackles on the ball, clearing the ball, heading the ball. Everything is a penalty, how was this not brought up yet? Huge frustration.
  9. I figured out the problem. It's not the tactic or the update I think, or not as much. I had to play the Club Worldchampionship in summer 2025 and my players even though I sent them on a 4 week holiday didn't have any offseason whatsoever. Man City is even doing worse than me, 13th with 15 points from 13 games. And they played it as well, just as Liverpool (8th with 20pts). Wish FM would give a solution that you can actually chose when your players get offseason. Holiday or rests are not doing the trick. Season is pretty much a lost cause cause of this.
  10. Nothing special tbh and the tactic I've been using for the last 5 years (albeit with some tweaks), very simple but effective tactic. Now not so much it seems, and I've added Bellingham to the ranks. What I thorougly liked before the update was the amount of boring and close games, just like IRL. Now I see too much games like the one I had vs Norwich, just too many goals in general. Where is the defensive solidness from before. Maybe it's more entertaining to the userbase to have this kind of football and amazing turnaround the whole time, but I like realism more where the first goal is decisive for 60%+ of the games. Now remontada after remontada, not very realistic.
  11. Glad I saw your post. Damn, I'm in fourth season with an all British Stoke, finished twice in the top 4 and miraculously won the CL with an amazing Nick Pope (7.15+). Now I'm 16th in the league, condeded 22 goals after 8 games and Pope has an amazing 6.37 rating. What happened? Can't just be the opponent catching up on my tactic or the season preview changing from 12th to 9th. Did the game become much harder or did I start to suck at FM overnight.
