  1. March 2024 We finally clinched the league title with a 4-1 away win against Burghfield. As a result of us winning the league, the board also offered me a new contract, still not on a wage ... but they have given us a wage budget of 1.3k...I'm sure that'll help We've also been made semi-professional! yay, progression. In terms of results in March, we went unbeaten once again. Youth Intake We had our first youth intake in 2024. They aren't much to shout about really but some of them will definitely be getting contracts.
  2. February 2024 Thankfully, we didn't start February the way we finished January. We played three games, winning two and drawing only one against Holyport Reserves. We still remain well ahead of AFC Winkfield, I'm hoping we secure the league soon! I know these updates are quite short, but since we're not playing in any cup competitions, I only have the league to talk about. no transfers have taken place over the course of the season, because we really are on fire.
  3. January 2024 We finally lost a game in January, to 2nd place AFC Winkfield after we had a player sent off. A bit frustrating, but I never really expected us to go unbeaten anyways! A little disappointing, but one loss definitely isn't going to derail our season. We still remain very comfortably top of the league.
  4. November & December 2023 In November we only played one game, away vs Reading YMCA. I've joined together Nov & Dec for another update! We were without Lucas Turrell for our game in November, as he was on International duty with Gibraltar U21s. (they didn't win ...) We also got our first Youth Intake of the save. I'm not expecting anything spectacular, but we'll see! We went unbeaten over the course of November & December, which sees us go 12 points clear of AFC Winkfield. (I messed up the save so had to replay the game vs Reading City!)
  5. October 2023 Not much happened in October, however we did break some records.... In terms of games, we only had three in the month of October and we kept up our brilliant form. We scored twelve goals this month, with only two conceded. It's fair to say, I think, that we are comfortably going to win the league after going eight points clear of Slough Heating Laurencians.
  6. September 2023 We had a really decent start to the season, going unbeaten in our first four league games. We scored eight, and only conceded once. We go into October top of the league, four points ahead of SB Phoenix. Hopefully we have no problem keeping up this fantastic form!
  7. Pre-season & Transfers Upon starting the save, we had no transfer budget (obviously!) or wage budget. Let's be honest,,, five is better than one, right? ...right? Friendlies We played quite alot of friendlies, as there was a massive gap between the start of the season and the last friendly - so i scheduled more! and for the most part, the friendlies went as well as expected. I'm hoping we can continue our good form into the first game of the season which is away vs Slough Heating Laurencians. We also did sign quite a lot of players. (I'm not going to show all the players, but I will do an overview at the end of the season!)
  8. Welcome to Windsor & Eton F.C. The aim of this save is to ( eventually ) take W&E into the Premier League. SEASON OBJECTIVES CURRENT XI We don't have any real players, only players generated by the game - which is fine! I'm hoping we can sign some players for the beginning of the season, but I'll go over signings etc at the beginning of the season.
  9. You may be thinking, "Why on earth is there a burning bush in Windsor?" and, honestly you'd be right to ask that. But worry not, it's not actually a burning bush ... it's a lamppost. No, really. That's all it is. It sits in front of the School Hall (at Eton College) and allows first year boys to know exactly where they are. I grew up in the shadows of Eton College and Windsor Castle, and grew up supporting Windsor & Eton FC. The club was originally founded in 1892, after a merger between two clubs (Windsor Phoenix & Windsor St. Albans). They began playing in the Southern Alliance, with teams such as Tottenham, and another takeover took place in 1893, this time with Windsor Victoria. In 1902 ANOTHER takeover took place and Windsor & Eton Temperance became Windsor & Eton FC. During the 1890s, Prince Christian was linked to the club (grandson of Queen Victoria), and patrons of the club include George V, George VI and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, hence the nickname "The Royalists". In 2011, the former club known as Windsor & Eton effectively ceased to exist, after a court appearance on 2nd February. And later that year, Windsor F.C. was formed to replace the club, still playing at Stag Meadow in Windsor. In 2023, Windsor & Eton F.C. were refounded, after agreeing with the Crown Estate for the use of Stag Meadow on a 25-year lease. The club begin in the Thames Valley Premier Football League.
