  1. Yeah I was just curious if anyone had ever done a save with Mongolia, so I googled and your post and a few others popped up. One guy on reddit had done the same process of Build a Nation, domestically became successful, loaned out his players within the league to make the clubs in the league stronger and went onto continental cups. Eventually going onto the national team coach and winning the World Cup I believe around 2070-80s. I noticed a trend on your save of players in the Mongolian Premier League leaving and joining teams on free transfer (This is also realistically accurate to Mongolian transfers) But towards the middle of the save where you became an established dominant team in the league and with the funds recieved from continental tournaments, (although most of your YA players might have not been good enough your team) Was it not possible to sign them on cheap multi 2-5 year contracts and either (1) Sell them for profit to other teams or (2) Loan farm them out with wages being paid in full, develop them and then sell in order to increase your budget? I was just wondering if there was a specific reason as to why that didn't happen, was it due to the lack of money or any other particular reasons I have to be aware of when I start my save. And what tweaks would you recommend I should make? If you have any questions feel free to send them my way, as I would be happy to answer them to the best of my knowledge. Bear in mind, although I am an avid football fan and have decent knowledge about European football. I am still a bit new to Mongolian football world as I only started exactly year ago going from being a volunteer to assisstant team manager(6 months) and then Interim head team manager(3months) when our manager stepped down. FC Ulaanbaatar were the domestic league and cup champions but losing in the Super cup, achieving the double in 22/23. Mongolia were ranked 40th with 0.349pts(very little) in Asia for club competitions in 2022 and qualified for the East Zone AFC Cup group stage. It was the club's first appearance in AFC Cup since the clubs founding in 2010. 2 or 3 other Mongolian clubs have tried their luck in the competiting previously but both failed to get a win or draw from 2018,19,22. We drew to 2 Taiwan clubs, Tainan City & Taichung Futuro and CPK from Macao. Our 3 home games were changed to be at home at the request in late Sept & October due to harsh fall/winter weather conditions in Mongolia(Can reach negative -30/-35C average in the really long winter from November to March). Our results were the following: MD1 - Home vs Tainan City - 3-1 Win (FC Ulaanbaatar became the first Mongolian Club to win and score 3 goals in AFC Cup competition, making Mongolian Football history. Personally very exciting moment to contribute and be a part of Mongolian football history as I would've never thought I would find myself in that position from being a volunteer) MD2 - Home vs Taiching Futuro - 0-2 Loss (Undeserved loss as we were the better side failing to score our created chances and allowing 2 disappointing goals) MD3 - Away vs CPK - 1-0 Win (Another massive win at Macao) MD4 - Home vs CPK - 1-0 Win (Heavy snow previous 2 days in early November. Hard fought win in freezing cold in -15C @2pm, lots of snow on the field, but our players were a bit more adapted to the cold conditions while CPK players were used to moist hot 28C weather in Macau and were freezing) MD5 - Away vs Tainan City - 0-3 Loss (Score line didn't flatter us as it was an even game till the 79' when Tainan city scored first, had couple of chances to equalize but it wasn't our day and we eventually conceding twice in added time in 2 counter attacks due to us throwing body forwards to equalize, heartbreaking as we couldve gone top of the table even with a draw) MD6 - Away vs Taiching Futuro - 2-1 Win (We go up 2-0 to score in close succession at 31' and 39' respectively but concede a crucial goal in 71' min as game finishes 2-1 but fail to make it out of the group stage by a SINGLE GOAL and finish in 2nd, massive heartbreak) If we had made it out of the group we would've skipped the quarter final ties and go straight to the semi-finals. All in all, our campaign saw us go 4-2 in the group stage with 4 massive wins for the nation which sees our national rank go up by +5 positions from 40th to 35th with 4.220pts which is a massive feat.
  2. As a Mongolian, thank you so much for this impressive save on FM. It was a delight to read throughout the whole process, every step of the way was intruiging and your dedication is absurd. I recently am just getting into Football Manager and am planning on doing the same process which I guess is "Build a Nation" save. Due to the lack of support from the nation and government to help develop football in Mongolia, it hasn't grown as much as the citizen's who love football would have hoped for. But instead greedy politicians are using their corrupt methods and stealing money into their own pockets from the funds FIFA sends to every football association/federation in their respective countries. The least I could do is develop it how I see it in my eyes through Football Manager and hopefully achieve success in club competitions then move onto the national team with the goal to get to the World Cup and someday win it. I also worked for FC Ulaanbaatar as an assistant team manager for a bit during our very first AFC Cup campaign in our club's history, which almost saw us make it out of the group stage and it was crazy.
