  1. If you don't change the user data location in game, you need to:

    1. Go to ...Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2024\data and delete comp editor.fmf

    2. Go to Steam and right-click on FM24 in your library.  Then click on Properties, and select Installed Files on the pop-up menu, and click on the Verify integrity button and wait for it to do its thing.

    3. Put the editor skin in your skins folder

    4. Go to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\Editor 2024\Caches and delete editor.skc file.

    5. Launch the Editor.

    How did that other guy get the U17 'B' Team exactly?

    Looking at the language archive, I find U17 only, so I don't know where he finds it.

    Don't know why he didn't share it.

    The objective of this mod, on the one hand, is to help people with their edits and, on the other hand, to share with the community the discoveries we can make in order to make other people's lives easier.

    As I'm not a programmer, the changes I make are always based on trial and error and file comparison.
    I believe that the collaboration of people with programming skills could take this mod to another level.

    Honestly I'd love the answer to this. It's one of the most stupid things to have hard coded. Eventually, either through someone playing around with the files or subsequent releases of football manager, someone will find a fix to this problem.

    I keep trying, but I still haven't succeeded

    The editors checkable options within "Promotion/Relegation" in the advanced rules of the leagues doesn't seem to make any difference. I'm checking both "Allow B teams to be promoted from the lower division" and "Allow B teams to be promoted into the lower division". Nothing changes in game though, the rules still state that B teams can't be promoted. I'm trying this in the Scottish lower leagues.

    so I copied the comp editor folder 2 times one of then renamed comp editor test for tests, one of then renamed with comp editor works and the other with comp editor original these comp editor original is my backup  

    It is not possible to add region to a comp, the db don´t allow it.

    You have to delete it with the editor closed. When you launch the editor, the file comeback, but there is no problem.

    In the tests I did, the only thing I managed to do was make it visible, I couldn't make it editable. I don't have tested it with the new patch.

    Can I use this for the long name too? I can change Soviet Union to Russia, but I can't change the Commonwealth of Soviet States (CIS) to Belarus. In game I get Russia, but I still get CIS or the long name too. Annoying the hell out of me.

    Try to substitute SHORT with LONG.

    Bit of an odd one, but I don't suppose there's a way of offering different filtering options for fields?  For example, some fields you can search using startsWith, and some you can't.  Club name is one, you can only search using Is or Contains.  Is this something hard-coded or something that can be controlled using the skin?

    I think it is hardcoded, I don't find any file with filtering options. Related with filters, only the files with the different things you can filter.

    If I remember correctly, create retired people in the nation could help, but not sure.

    Maybe have a look in some DB in the forum with created nations.

    After the SI patches, if the patch change the comp editor.fmf file, I need to update this to reflect these changes, sometimes these changes are bugs correction.

    To activate this options, I need SI release the base code of them, without it is not possible.

    Everything I activate with this mod have behind some base code of SI.

    Wow, I thought I'd pressed a set of keyboard keys in a certain order by mistake to make it appear! 🙂. So this is all your work rather than an SI thing? 👏. I like the XML abbreviation codes next to many of the fields. Is this how you got the Population to appear in the editor? I take it Npop is for Nation Population if Lpop is Local Population? I'm still on the lookout for getting the population tab to be editable for new nations.

    I think that's just something that's been exposed by cleiria's work, rather than created, although could be wrong.  Seems like a (very) rough debug menu that SI and/or researchers would use to add a bit of extra functionality
