  1. Don't forget Rice's deficiencies then, considering he's also made 0 tackles and made less interceptions.
  2. I don't think England have anything other than Saka to stretch play, which really affects the space our players get. The full backs don't really do that, Foden and Kane don't do that either. Shaw has to play if he's fit, Trippier does a great job considering his profile, but he really limits things. Why play Trent in midfield if there's nobody to hit? That is literally the point in him. If not, get Mainoo or Wharton in to keep the ball more safely. And my god, Bellingham is a good midfielder. He moves like a dancer and is just solid. I'm gonna call it, he reminds me of Zidane sometimes.
  3. I absolutely agree with you, if I were Serbia, I'd be pressing as soon as he receives the ball.
  4. Eze and Palmer are wonderful players but Foden is a level above. Need to get him and Kane involved.
  5. He's not been the player to get the ball with his back to goal, that's for somebody like Mainoo. Get him back to RB
  6. A lot of interchanging on the right hand side. Nice little passes and all but I'm struggling to see the plan for breaking down a deep defence. Whatever happens, Jude will be key, phenomenal touch and strength.
  7. No, but when he is required to be a defender and isn't carrying our attacking play, he's reasonable at those. His big weakness has been 1v1's, for a full back he's been really bad at that.
  8. Only for the casuals who judge defending by 1v1 and not by awareness and positional sense etc, which are far more important. Walker reminds me of Clyne playing for us years ago, an absolute dead end. Why bother moving from defence? Said it for ages, get him up against Mbappe and the runners and don't let him move from that position, and then have the midfield defend the cut inside. Other than that, literally play anybody else. On the other hand, Rice is so good. He never doesn't impress me. On another day Gordon gets a goal after some good play. He's really dangerous, and Palmer missed some chances unusually. Think England will be fine, tbh, can't see this being a reflection of their Euro campaign.
  9. That's such a wild formation and lineup I'm so impressed it works so well though
  10. One of the first things I did was renew his contract until 2026, at 160k. He's a good mentor too, so i'll probably have him beyond that.
  11. I renewed Virgil and Salah also, until 2026. I do plan on selling them at the end of second season as they have regressed and can probably still get mahoosive money. Shame about Robbo though, he's solid. Where's he going? Can't imagine him playing for anyone else.
  12. Is it just me who always seems to see Alisson get injuries? He missed 2 months so far this season with 3 separate injuries, which has probably cost me being comfortably top, as Kelleher has been sold and I've got a loan 2* goalkeeper from Chelsea who covers but he does suck in comparison. Anyway, on course to get about 90 something points pretty comfortably, wish Haaland would **** off.
  13. Season 2 15 games into the new season and 13 wins, 2 draws. On 41 points and 1 point ahead of City so it's a tight race - Think i've found a good system for my squad so happy so far. Found that Gravenberch and Elliot are seriously close to taking over from Mac Allister and Szobo, they've really improved! Anybody keep Mac and Szobo as first choice or do you replace them? Also, I've finally did something useful with Darwin and he's scoring at a reasonable rate. Endrick seems to be a good backup until he surpasses Darwin too. Only thing is that Darwin seems to get better and worse every other month and it's noticeable in his output. Guess that means he's his his potential and is fluctuating.
  14. My goodness, who offered £100m for Tsimi?
  15. Ended up copying you there, fingers crossed there's still money for them next year. Jota and Gakpo have gone for £50m and £60m respectively this summer. Sepp Van den Berg also, but only for £7.5m. Signed : Jorrel Hato - £39m 2.5 stars at 18 and can cover CB and LB so could be the left Gomez (but better!) Junior Kroupi - £19.5m Just turned 18, he can cover forward areas...5* potential too Scalvini - £73m Endrick - £13.5m Have had big offers for Nunez from Barca and Mac Allister but I'm keen to keep them just now. Trying to get rid of Carvalho but i've only had a £10m offer which is frustrating.
  16. Right here we go, gonna do what I did on FM23 Season 1 League = 2nd FA cup = Winner League cup = Semi's Europa = Winner Decent season, by any stretch. Took a while to find a formula really, but even then we had some right blip moments down to bad finishing and weird defending. But that's what I need to iron out. Salah, really really good Was gonna show my transfers, but for some reason my incoming transfers in blank...Bit of a bug I think. Season 2 and I have a £90m offer for VVD and £140m offer for Salah...Thoughts? Neither have really declined and have contracts for a further 2 years.
  17. Struggling to get much output out of Nunez and Gakpo upfront, although I changed them to advanced forwards and i'm atleast getting a couple of goals here and there. However, Nunez has about 4 goals for me in December then got injured for 6 weeks. Gakpo isn't much better so I know which position i'm targetting next. Also, Alisson just got injured for 3 months with a training injury. Bloody idiot. i'm a couple of points off the top so that injury in particular will probably be quite damaging. I started with Trent in IWB so that he came into midfield, but teams seemed to be exploiting that position. I've since moved him to CWB and defensively we're a bit more sound, I also feel like we're more balanced.
  18. Bit pissed I still have Hendo and Fab, but no Gravenberch Anyway, sold Hendo to Spurs for £14Mil and didn't get bids for an injured Fab...Then got in Grav for £70 odd mil Also got rid of Jota for a £49Mil loan to mandatory fee, then Fati in for £93Mil rising to £107Mil. Problem : I didn't negotiate his wage properly and he's on 250k going unto 300k with 5% pay rises each year which won't work in a couple of years.
  19. Season 29/30 Great start. Worst season, ever. Won the Super Cup and Community Shield without breaking a sweat, then proceeded to having the worst season in the history of FM. 14th after 9 games, 6th after 36 games and CL is out of reach Reached the CL semi's where I got beaten on pens by league leaders City, who'll go on to face United in the final. Talk about a s*** show. Out both the domestic cups too. It really has been an awful season, not because i'm creating much less but the finishing has been just woeful this season. Darwin is either not fit or missing any 1v1 he can get close to, Endrick broke his collarbone and has been generally worse anyway. I'll need to have a think in the summer because it's not working right now. I went on a massive run of form getting up to 3rd place before collapsing again in the last few games. Not that xG would show that, but the actual scores show otherwise. Perhaps my regen keeper isn't the one, but he's 3.5* so he's good. Screenshots to follow, unfortunately. I'm gonna play a game against Sheffield just now, who are 20th. the game is titled "El Sackico" which is lovely
  20. End of summer 29 window update : A lot of loan outs and not enough selling really. Got a bloated squad so now I've got a wage bill of 6.1m which is far too much. I'm actually gonna look to do something with Doak in the winter as his 10% wage rises mean that he's getting £325k pw which is mental. Brought in a striker for £44Mil with plenty of potential and who can cover/rotate with Darwin, Elliot, Doak and Endrick with regards to ST and RW.
  21. Cheers mate He's still reasonable IMO. Unfortunately my other LB was injured for the final, so Robbo had to play. Here he is 3 months later though, he's lost even more physical stats since that final.
  22. It was an interesting one, I have a regen called Nunes but I wasn't convinced he was ready. I ended up taking Musiala away from CM (Mez) and sticking him upfront. Another regen called Rousselle (who's above somewhere) played in CM (Mez). Good news though... Whoop whoop! Got lucky, actually. Goal came the two unlikely source in regards to Bajcetic and Rice Played rubbish but finally got a CL win so over the moon with that. Took me 7 years to win it, but in the meantime, I cleared up most of the domestic trophies...Am I Pep? In the new season, I've won the super cup and charity shield. Going for as many trophies as possible this year. Budget permitting, both If I had to choose, I'd probably prioritise a CB right now
