I think I narrowed it down to Dortmund, Leipzig, Frankfurt, Valencia, Roma, Lyon and Wolves.
I think I'm not going to pick Wolves, since none of my targets seem to want to join. Frankfurt just solely for Jovic, but in my Leverkusen game, they didn't sign him, so I guess if I want him I could get him second season for other clubs with some luck.
GUess that leaves Dortmund, Leipzig, Roma, Valencia and Lyon. But then I'd also love to take a shot with Bilbao!
Perhaps a rebuilding of Chelsea or Man United? Even though I feel that would be more suited to a big team last save.
There are quite a lot of interesting teams and scenarios/philosophies to use on this year's edition for me. It's too hard to choose!
I just started a save with Lyon and it is really enjoyable. Very good youth system...coaches....very solid base to start off and with careful planning and clever selling the club could go all the way to the top. I just hope it wont become too easy of a save.

The Eredivisie is the most easy. Lost only once (matchday 32/34) with a backup team. Walked the league.
any suggestions about an interesting save then?

well....in this years version, i have mainly tried Italy....i really liked Genoa, Torino, Parma (which was quite hard), Sampdoria and most of all Atalanta.....which i am thinki9ng of doing my first ever post about them...if i find the time that is...

i am more of a fun to choose one of the big 5 leagues and take a teal with some kind of history but currently underachieving...i think is more challenging like this.....since most of all the other leagues is just 2-3 horse race....usually

Outside the big 5 leagues!
@kos77 I'll take a look at them, but do they provide a big enough challenge domesticaly?
Well...the thing is that outside the big 5...there is hardly any challenge......unless you choose a league...like portugal or holland and pick a medium....smallish team

2 premier league games far with Man City and I'm already getting tired of my save It's too easy!
I desperately need a good save! I want a team outside the big 5 (Spain, England, Italy, Germany and France) to start my clubhopping career with and work myself up as a manager.
Any suggestions for a fun team to start with?
why dont you try partizan belgrade ? Very good team....lots of history.

I tend to use Ajax always at the start. After around 6-8 months I tend to move on to another save/team or keep playing.
i love an Ajax save...i had an excellent save with them on FM 18. This year i havent tried Ajax yet. So i am thinking about it.....i also really like this year Atalanta......so i havent made my mind up yet......Is Ajax easy enough this year in the Dutch league?

I plan on doing a Sporting save while taking a break from my PSG one.
Atlanta are doing fantastic this season IRL so you can try replicate that, Torino would be a good one too trying to de-throne your city rivals- I have Belotti in my PSG save and he is lethal with the right service.
thanx mate for your ideas......i started a sporting save...but it seems quite easy........so far......may be i ll go down the goddess way...atalanta...not sure yet.

Anyone guys???

Hey guys.
I am also torn b/w the following:
Atalanta......the little Ajax of Italy with an amazing attacking football style.
Ajax....a great philosophy at the club...never stops being just amazing.....with a great name....since i am Greek
Sporting CP.....also a club with a fantastic youth academy.....long time to win the title and make a difference in Europe.
Lastly, Torino......great history......el sistema tactic......a very good youth academy.
Any suggestions guys, would be really appreciated....so as to start a new save!!!!!

@GylfiAsCharged....i am at still at preseason. I thought the team would have more quality after the winter update....but it is not the case. The thing is that i am trying to replicate their real life tactics (i know some guys have written about this) but without success yet. I mean the preseason results are not good enough.....nevertheless it seems like a decent challenge save !!!! Any one else any more thoughts on Frankfurt ?

Hasn't anyone chosen Eintracht? Is it a good team to choose as in real life?

Cheers mate for the quick response. In my save also, he is not good.....actually i am starting a new one now and thinking of not going with real life Inter tactics.....we'll see......4231 is not good in Italy where almost all teams defend with 3-5 defenders.....
any more Inter hints just before i start the save would be much appreciated !!!

@GunmaN1905 how was Icardi during your 1st season...every time i pick Inter, i have problems scoring with him, using 4231, that is. What tactics you think suit best Inter during 1st season?
Also, with the winter update, i would have to leave quite a few players unregistered.....which sucks.....

@Carlf788how was the first season? I am thinking of starting a save with Viola....or Milan......i hanen't decided yet. Do you mind sharing some thoughts about Viola tactics?

Your replies were of the best timing...cause i was started thinking that is smg wrong with me. I have spent over 400hrs in FM19 and still haven't completed one full season, as many of you also have said. So, that's a relief.
I have tried so far, Man U and Chelsea but was too easy. Although Chelsea with winter update might be interesting. Spurs...well there were just Spurs. Milan was OK (in Winter update) but still...I am thinking of starting one save with Inter at last...or may be a save in a smaller league as you guys have suggested. We'll see...Sporting Lisbon , Fiorentina, and may be Cagliari seem interesting.

I have started a Milan save last night....the team is doing quite well......any more suggestion regarding big teams in the prime championships that would be quite an interesting save?

Guys,
i could use some help in choosing a new project, since the winter update has been released. I am mainly thinking either in England (since it is so competitive) either Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs or Man Utd.......or Italy with Milan, Roma projects.....
Any ideas and suggestions would be very appreciated....since i am getting bored easily.....and i do not have much time any more playing FM as i used to have...so a good choice would be quite helpful !!!!! Thnx guys

I'm mostly interested in a Serie A or Bundesliga one. Currently, I'm thinking of two clubs from the Serie A.
Milan: The fallen giants. Returning them to former glory would be the goal, while also developing the talent they have there along with it. With Paqueta as Kaka 2.0, what can go wrong?
Roma: A lot of youth and good players like De Rossi and Dzeko, but they fail to be a challenger for the title, with this year especially being a disappointment. Mostly focusing on the youth as the stars are getting on (Dzeko, De Rossi) the goal is for absolute domination. The second coming of the Roman Empire, if you will.
Hope you guys have advice and can guide/point me towards a good choice, since I'm struggling with picking one. Suggestions are always welcome of course. I'd rather not have Inter, cause I've already had a save with them.
That's quote a dilemma actually....I played a couple of games with both of them before the winter update. Both are strong and quite challenging. Milan obviously is better after the update...and with a healthy finance. Good young core...quite a few Italians. Roma has financial problems.....better staff, though, i.e. Monchi...well not in real life though. Also, very good Italian core and very challenging team.
Actually, i would like to hear other people opinions on these two.....cause i am also thinking of picking one of the two.

Very nice and well written update. Although, this league is quite easy...not challenging enough. On the other hand, you have the chance to play around with your tactics and try new things. I think the most difficult part with Sporting is the financial part. They've got an outstanding loan of smg like 250 mil. That IS a challenge...!
Keep it up !
