Interesting to see the different journeys that everyone has taken Derby on! Key to any progress seems to be a takeover however. I am currently in mid january of the first season, i was hoping to finally sort the squad out since i disabled the summer transfer window. The problem is that i still haven't heard anything about a possible takeover, the club is still in administration. I can't spend any money on loans, staff or even free agents. The board have however increased the percentage of revenue from transfers to be reinvested to 20%. Also, i have recieved a lot of offers from clubs that the curator seems to have accepted, only for the bidding club to withdraw immediatly. Perhaps because these players have a one-year extension clause. I've only sold Roos, Jagielka en Baldock have left since i was not able to even get around the table with them.
As it stands, i have half a million in transfer budget and 30k a week to spend, but no way to actually spend this. Is there any way to speed up the removal of the PFA embargo or a takeover? I'm not keen to wait around until my best players have been poached wihtout there being a way to strenghten the squad..

Thanks Stuniverse! The board decided to complete the takeover a couple of days after the january window closed, leaving me with an even smaller squad, especially since i decided to sell Kazim-Richards and Bobby Duncan. Thankfully Stretton seems to have found his shooting boots, with Curtis Davies (yes, corners), Lawrence and Ravel chipping in with a number of goals. If i recall correctly, the transfer revenue retained increased a couple of days after Morgan Whittaker was sold to Newcastle by Swansea, netting us around a million euros. I also sold some other clauses, trying to 'trigger' a better financial situation to at least be able to lift the embargo.
I forgot to mention that i got a message that the owner was looking to restructure debt and sell the club at the start of the season, but it went quiet ever since. The new chairman, a newgen, seems to be easily convinced to grant nearly any request that i put forward, so things are looking up! The debt seems to be completely removed and things seem healthy. In the league i started amazingly, losing just a couple of games before the start of december. December and January where awful, barely winning a single game. I am currently comfortably mid-table, if the form of the start of the season returns, i might be looking at a late play-off push. If we continue to struggle, it will be a long season but i do not think we will have to fear a relegation battle. It's going to be exciting to see if i am going to regret my decision to sell the backup strikers, or if we can make a late push against all odds.
Looking forward to finally spend some of that money, so the list with players signed will come in handy!
