  1. That scene is a pisstake from Field of Dreams - 'if you build it they will come' Even though you and others are not personally invested in women’s football, You have to see the value in including it. The women who’ve forged professional careers in football are trailblazers in their own right. Just like their male counterparts, they’ve worked incredibly hard to reach the top of their level, overcoming challenges unique to their journey. This addition recognises the growth of the women’s game and the efforts of those who’ve paved the way for future generations. It’s not just about ticking a box; it’s about giving these players, coaches, and fans the representation they deserve in one of football’s most iconic games. Whether or not it was driven by demand, it feels like a step forward for the sport as a whole.
  2. The introduction of women's football into FM25 has sparked a healthy range of opinions, from excitement to indifference. It's great to see that over 35% of people are interested in playing it (forum polls are often a poor measure of general game players), it shows some merit to its inclusion. As football evolves, the game must reflect that, and this update could help introduce many players to the women's game, just like how previous FM versions helped people discover leagues and players they weren't familiar with. Whether or not it’s your thing, this addition opens up more possibilities and fresh challenges for everyone. It introduces a new era of game players who may have overlooked Football Manager altogether.
  3. This has all been very underwhelming. First time I think I've ever seen a release with features removed... I'm just wondering how come out was never improved overtime. I'm a bit meh about the whole thing
  4. I couldn't possibly know the specs for FM25 - as you can imagine it's difficult to say. However, the M3, the 155H and the I9 14900HX - are all well capable of the current FM. The higher the score the better. Generally the higher it is on Notebook Check https://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Processors-Benchmark-List.2436.0.html the better. Honestly, in the PC i9 14900HX I picked the 1TB Samsung drive. On the MacBook - check the price for changing it to 1TB - I think it's a disgrace the pricing it jumps from £1,949.00 to £2,300!!! ---------- Again - if you're happy with the Mac then go for it - it's a fine enough computer for FM. I understand the ease of purchase - but the price does not match the specs (what you get under the hood). Again - it's completely up to you. You can email PC Specialists and ask them with the Spec what is the overall weight of the laptop. They are extremely helpful . Can I ask why you're buying through Currys and not directly from Apple?
  5. I think it's too much money and you get better for less and still achieve portability. Up to you. There's really not that much difference in Mac and Windows. If you've never used it before then there will be a learning curve of course. If it's just for FM it's a bit much. My Mac M3 is heavy enough - over 2kg anyway - just weighed it for curiosity. I checked out the below - apparently they are 1.7kg Chassis & Display Ionico Series: 15.3" Matte QHD+ 240Hz sRGB 100% LED Widescreen (2560x1600) Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™ i9 24 Core Processor 14900HX (5.8GHz Turbo) Memory (RAM) 32GB Corsair 4800MHz SODIMM DDR5 (2 x 16GB) Graphics Card NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 4070 - 8.0GB GDDR6 Video RAM - DirectX® 12.1 1st M.2 SSD Drive 1TB SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 3500MB/R, 3300MB/W) Price: £1,717.00 including VAT and Delivery Unique URL to re-configure: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/ionico-IV-15/BeJwGvmvtu/ For comparison the i9 is far better You get more RAM You get Doulbe the SSD And it's still cheaper - lighter - better
  6. I have a MacBook Pro with the M3 chip and I don't like it at all. I'm a graphic designer for over 25 years and used Macs all my life. It's ok as a computer - but the price is through the roof for what it actually is. The other thing with Macs is that there are ZERO upgrade paths, nothing can be swapped out or replaced. I put together this quickly to show you difference Chassis & Display Lafite Series: 14" Matte WQXGA+ 120Hz sRGB 100% LED Widescreen (2880x1800) Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 16 Core Processor 155H (Up to 4.8 GHz) 24M Cache Memory (RAM) 16GB PCS PRO SODIMM DDR5 4800MHz (2 x 8GB) Graphics Card Integrated Intel® Arc™ Graphics 1st M.2 SSD Drive 1TB SAMSUNG 990 EVO M.2, PCIe 4.0 & 5.0 NVMe (up to 5000MB/R, 4200MB/W) Price: £1,049.00 including VAT and Delivery Unique URL to re-configure: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/lafite-pro-IV-14/TQE2Nd9fhd/ Half the price Here's how the processors compare For Football Manager, the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H offers better overall performance, especially for multitasking due to more cores/threads. However, the Apple M3 might deliver smoother single-thread tasks and better efficiency on macOS. However, the Mac is fine and well capable I mean I put together a computer for HALF the price that would be technically better. It's up to you - if you spend more money on a PC laptop you might get even better performance. I don't want to put you off - and think you'll be happy with the Mac for FM. But if you're looking to save money and have a better laptop overall - it's something to consider.
  7. I work from home, so have the house to myself for most of the day. One laptop for work, one for FM. I play most of the day. It's the sort of game you can let run in the background and dip in and out of. I've played CM when I was a kid, and then FM me and my brother play all the time. He's since moved to the other side of the globe with his family and we still play and talk about FM to this day.
  8. Renato Solís is a solid all-rounder with good mental attributes and skills in some goalkeeping areas. His high anticipation, concentration, and positioning. Song Bumkeun has physical advantages, jumping, reach and balance, and better reflexes. Renato Solís seems to be the better option. But, if you're leaning more toward physical presence and quick reflexes, then Song Bumkeun.
  9. Cool - you went with this one? https://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/system/asus-tuf-gaming-a15-fa507nv-lp023w-gaming-laptop
  10. Watch your manners. This thread is about Development of FM - not a thread to find other sim games that rival FM. If you want to know them - look them up - you have the whole internet in front of you.
  11. So you googled it, and there are other football manager sim games. Yes, Planet Zoo is not one of them - well done for realising that all by yourself. Quite frankly... what was useless about my suggestion - how is it a cheap cop out?
