Iv been using the makalele tactic without wingers swapping positions, no striker free role, strikers not swapping position and forward runs to mixed rather than rarely. I have found that this works well most times at home however fails me away from home for which i have decided to use tylers eagle tactic unedited which has slightly more success but leave me in for tight games.

Is anyone still using any of the old tactics with more success or any tips for what might help me to imrpove further

also does holding up the ball mixed with running with the ball often not sontradict each other

Is it not sensible to allow forward runs from the strikers as they are both set to playing through balls rather than have forward runs set to rarely? I may be wrong
