First of all I would just like to say that Football Manager 2013 has been a total disaster for me. 12, 11, 10, 09, 08, 07 I've never been great at creating tactics that work year after year, but I give them a go and had some sort of success just preferred to download. On 13 I've dropped from 700 + hours to just 22 hours since I bought the game in November.

So anyway onto what I wanted to post are there any tactics in a 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 formation that have possession and work home and away? Using the latest Steam version 13.2.3? I have actually looked at a few of the tactics on this and some other forums but most receive negative replies so I don't download. I have always liked a system where the midfielders and wingers can score the goals too. If you look at Gerrard etc when they play in a central midfield role and and still provide assists and goals (well Gerrard of old) maybe should have said Frank Lampard instead or when you have wingers who just seem to score time and time again. Having them as well as the ST's coming up with the goods is what I hope to have.

I would appreciate a reply to this as I would really like to get some hours into the game. I just can't when I'm banging my head against the wall when I'm being thrashed by inferior opposition.

I created four games on the 22nd December 2011 on 12.1.1 I think the version was, on the game status it says 12.2.2 so unless it was forced to 12.2.2 when the update arrived I really don't know. Anyway I have 4 games going one with Swansea, one with Torquay United, one with Manchester City and one with Oldham Athletic mainly using 4-4-2, even used the Xenon tactic for a while, and also 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 with two attacking wingers, but I struggle a lot vs Manchester United with the Premier League teams and obviously with Torquay and Oldham I just get thrashed everytime I meet United in the cup or the league with Oldham. If I'm on the 12.1.1 version, unless forced to the new version on my games is there any tactic that could work really well for the good attacking teams Man City and Swansea home and away? and the same for the lower league teams?

Does anyone have a good 11.3 4-2-3-1 tactic I could possibly use? I created one from the default options and changed the team instructions/player instructions to what I felt my players could possibly achieve. The thing is my team have been under-performing for large periods of the season. I have played well in some games and played absolutely shocking in other games leaving me 12th with Aston Villa so I feel it's time for a change but keeping the same formation. The formation is 2 central midfielders, 2 attacking wingers, 1 attacking midfielder central and a striker so if anyone does have any tactics I could possibly use for the 11.3 patch with this formation then I would like to use it .

I have a question as well if I have a really good regen who as similar attributes to players such as Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard but he can only play in the central midfield slot and not the attacking midfield central slot how could I make him perform by scoring goals and assisting from the centre of midfield? He's been struggling to perform in my team so far, he's had pretty good ratings nevertheless but never seems to score or get vital assists.
