I'm tempted to put this under Bugs, but hopefully this will be seen and addressed in a future FM24 patch anyway rather than become a future feature.
Continue Game Timeout is a great feature that helps cut down on unnecessary clicking, but using it does mean you will skip events and decisions that the game marks as non-essential and thus doesn't wait for your input before auto-resolving them. The examples include:
- Injury treatment (Choosing between Injections/Doctor/Specialist/Send Home etc.)
- International selection injury/replacement dialogue (In case of player injury the game will continue simulating past the replacement window of opportunity, leaving you one player fewer for the rest of the international break)
- Pre-concern player meetings (When you have the highest % chance of resolving the issue before it even becomes a problem)
I suggest that with Continue Game Timeout turned on, the game should flag these and other similar events as "essential" and wait for the player's input before moving the time forward.
