  1. These were saved as international rules. I loaded the editor up to make some small changes and was met with that error
  2. I had manage to set up a file with extracted International Rules so I could set up future hosts for the World Cup using this topic Files have worked fine but I wanted to make some changes this week. When I load the file now though it has "Not Verified" next to the file name and I get the below issues when I go to the test rules section. Any ideas why this has changed?
  3. Not in the testing I've done, Skips the qualifiers and then picks the best nations instead. I'm working on some files to try some other options
  4. How were you able to extract the tournament like this. I've tried a few times using some of the methods on these forums "Set competition to a journey and extract etc." but never works. When I've tried to do this manually copying the settings can never get past 48 teams needed, 0 selected. Reason I ask is because on one of my own databases I've created a lot of new stadiums (AC Milan, Inter Milan) added stadiums from other sports (Twickenham) and planned upgrades in Saudi for example and would like to have them set for use in future tournaments
  5. Yeah it's the same. I wanted to add in the PL playmaker award and it's nigh on impossible
  6. This is something that has routinely bugged me over the years, why is International Management an afterthought in Football Manager? Often you see woefully odd choices take over big jobs. In several simulations I have seen the likes of Abelardo, Quique Sanchez Flores and Bo Svennson take over the England and Germany job despite very little success or a real affiliation with the countries. With countries who have a history of home grown managers, some of the people who takeover are baffling to me, especially when there are better suited options from a realism standpoint. There is nothing like Nation Vision, Culture, Year-5 years Plans etc. to give a national team a real identity. Very often managers get a tournament cycle before being binned off. To have options where you and the National FA has some form of autonomy over certain aspects would be interesting (picking players only based in our nation to improve domestic league quality, targeting players with second nationalities to build a better team, overseeing a playing style down through the age groups etc.). You don't get things like team familiarity (which if you pick a consistent squad/team or have players who play together at club level etc), training to be able to really make an impact like you can in the club game. I understand it's a smaller time frame but surely there is a benefit into making this more realistic than players just being selected, play then leave. Being able to interact with club managers would be an interesting addition. Using the B Team functionality. In game you can never pick a B team to play another nation (unless it's a Gold Cup/Copa America type thing). For larger nations having this option would be an interesting addition.
  7. I tend to load England to League 2 with the National Leagues set to view nly and Spain down to LaLiga 2 with the leagues below as view only. I then have a large database with each continent set like this.
  8. Thanks. It's something I notice each year and it's a bugbear for editor creators.
  9. I'm waiting for the World Cup and Euro hosts to be corrected. Even after the latest update I still get Euro 2028 in Italy and World Cup 2030 and Euro 2032 in Turkey
  10. As per my previous posts dating back to FM22 and FM23, when creating a staff member and giving them a full playing and non-playing history (including player retirements) their biography only shows them as a non-player with the new role. FMF file is attached. Example: Created "Test Issue" who played for Blyth Spartans. Give him a player retirement in 2008. He then became a Youth Coach at Mansfield in 2014. I contract him in the Editor to be Man City's Set Piece Coach in 2023. Error: The Biography will show his career being 27 years In file NPH the roles are all selected and given dates. In file Retirements a player retirement is selected. In file Person Type they are selected as Non-Player. Profile Test.fmf Profile Test.fmf
  11. Still does exactly the same. This is very frustrating, I don't get why a created person's biography cannot recognise a change in role. In file NPH the roles are all selected and given dates. In file PH the dates as a player match up to the data in NPH. In file Retirements a player retirement is selected. In file Person Type they are selected as Non Player. Yet as you can see in file Biography it doesn't recognise the second club role as non player/
  12. Looking at a machine with the following specs, to run 15-20 leagues for testing, and around 10 leagues in play for FM23. Would this run well? Processor: 11th Generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 Display: 15.6-inch diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), micro-edge, anti-glare Memory: 8 GB DDR4-2666 MHz RAM (2 x 4 GB) Internal storage: 512 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD Graphics: Intel Iris Xe Graphics
  13. Thanks. Wasn't a criticism it was more to try and understand what the logic behind keeping some and removing others was. I get you can't keep people in there for a long time after they appear to have stepped away from full time roles
  14. As per FM22 and other versions this is still an issue. Still does the same thing of having their previous non player roles as player roles. I have put in non player history, player retirements, achievements to no avail.
  15. Wouldn't really say it's a bug, was more of a question as to why some are removed and others are not, that's all
  16. I've always wondered why some people who are in game in previous versions (especially those with high standings in the game) are removed from the database and others are not? (I have FM22 for examples below) Perfect example from a Premier League/England POV would be the likes of Arsene Wenger, Harry Redknapp and Glenn Hoddle who are no longer in the databases in the past few versions despite having active roles in the past 5-10 years. When compared to some people who have never held any Non playing roles in real life since retiring yet are in database and available in the game like Taribo West and Brian McBride, or staff like Ilie Dumitrescu who hasn't held a management position since 2010
  17. When creating a staff member and giving them a full playing and non playing history (including player retirements) their biography only shows them as a non player with the new role. Example: Created "Manager A" who played for Leeds, Wigan and Oxford. Give him a player retirement. He then became a manager at Barnsley and Cambridge. I contract him in the Editor to be manager of Tranmere. Error: The Biography will show the Barnsley and Cambridge roles as player and will describe the Tranmere role as his first non-playing role
