  1. Yes, it's a bit annoying, have to use third GK as a starter (he isn't much worse than two others though).
  2. NK Kustošija Zagreb | Croatia Manager profile Trying to complete this challenge for Croatia. Kustošija never played in a top division, but has good youth setup. Squad Our best players are 25 or younger which is certainly good. Midfield is the strongest line with Šroler, Vajdovčić and Lovren (Dejan’s brother), but we lack a decent striker.
  3. Is this Canadian rule present for everyone in Champions League with the latest megapack version (enabled all the files)?
  4. It seems I faced a game-breaking bug in the Champions League Could only go on holiday before the game, the match squad was completely messed up with a reserve goalie in midfield etc., and after 15 minutes both teams started playing 8 on 8. Only used the Caribbean league pack from @V50 and sortitoutsi name fixes (which shouldn't affect any rules).
  5. House of Billiards | Suriname | Season 2030 Three in a row! Solid defense was the key this time, we conceded the first goal only in tenth game. Cup No easy games in the cup, but we defended this trophy as well. Caribbean Shield Revenge! We won both group stages confidently and once again got Inter in playoffs, conceded an early goal but made a comeback in second half! The final itself wasn’t so important as both teams already qualified for the next level, but winning a trophy for the first time is always a nice bonus (especially defeating a team from the strongest Caribbean league). Caribbean Cup Well, that win over Waterhouse certainly wasn’t an accident, we topped the group with two Jamaican teams, defeated the third one in semi-final and lifted our fourth trophy in a year against Trinidad champions! This schedule with a month between stages was a bit boring though, we didn’t even have suitable opponents for friendlies except our own reserves. And yes, we’ll start the next season in Champions League! Squad stats Marcelencio Waal – his first season with 30+ goals (of course we had more games, but these extra ones were against stronger teams than we usually face in the league) G.Becker *26c and Y.Pinas *26b – shared the lead in assists. N.Pinas *25a – returned his goalscoring form after a less productive previous season. G.Pinas *26j – finally his performance is more suitable for being one of the best players by ability. Transfers – more loans. Youth intake (preview) Rozenblad *30a | Valies *30b | Kompagnie *30c | de Baas *30d | Pinas *30e | Pengel *30f Rozenblad and Valies went directly to the first team and already scored a few important goals (though I won’t be surprised if Waal remains our top goalscorer next season anyway). Sadly our DOF (who was responsible for the youth intake) decided to leave after this season, and there is no one available to replace him equally. After winning the Caribbean Cup we became the biggest team in Suriname!
  6. House of Billiards | Suriname | Season 2029 Once again we had a very strong start, however this time Inter was really close in the first half until the schedule become a complete mess (we had a break in June, so July and August were overloaded with league, cup and continental fixtures), but after that our squad management appeared to be a lot better! Cup One more win over Inter and a comeback against Robinhood gave us the first ever double! Caribbean Shield A much better draw this time, none of the group stage opponents (except the Haitians) could cause us any problems, but then Inter finally got a revenge for losing national titles with a shootout win (their goalkeeper is probably the best player in Surinamese league now and saved three penalties from four). I thought that 3rd place playoff also gives us a place on a higher level, but sadly it’s only for finalists (what’s the point of this game then?) Squad stats Marcelencio Waal – despite not being a regular starter in the league (Hardley is our first choice now) he scored a lot against weaker Caribbean teams and remained the best goalscorer. G.Bynoe *27a – had an impressive season on the left wing. Transfers – since we have a lot of players on contracts, some of them could be loaned out for match practice. Youth intake (preview) Pinas *29a | Dolaini *29b | I.Gravenberch *29c | Overman *29d | Dakriet *29e | R.Gravenberch *29f No ready first team players this time. Inter managed to qualify to the Champions League and even knocked out Mexican Cruz Azul in the first round, but so far it didn’t affect our reputation.
  7. House of Billiards | Suriname | Season 2028 This time both Inter and Robinhood had serious troubles at start, while we broke away with 12 straight wins and confidently finished on top, securing the title with three games to go (got too relaxed and scored only one point after it, so the final advantage doesn’t look so impressive). Cup Inter is still a stronger team despite losing the title (and we still can’t beat them in the league as well). Caribbean Shield Very unlucky to get the strongest available opponents twice. The first game against Jamaicans didn’t decide anything as we both already qualified with four wins, but only one team advanced from the second stage. We got a draw with Waal’s late equalizer, unfortunately they performed much better in other two games. Meanwhile Inter won the trophy, hopefully increasing our national reputation a bit. Squad stats Marcelencio Waal – still our best forward despite quite low overall ability (to be honest, I'm really surprised as never had good stats from a pure targetman in recent FM versions). Y.Pinas *26b – updated his own assists record and was selected as the league’s MVP. G.Pandooi *26a – league’s best goalkeeper. G.Pinas *26j – sadly his ratings are not as good as his ability, but I hope this will improve. Transfers – only two reserves players left. Youth intake (preview) R.Hardley *28a | Bakboord *28b | Z.Hardley *28c | Koolwijk *28d | Maatrijk *28e | Wijdenbosch *28f Will Hardley be the striker to take the first team spot from legendary Waal? Seven our players were selected for the CONCACAF U20 Cup, Suriname advanced from the group but lost to Mexico in first playoff round.
  8. House of Billiards | Suriname | Season 2027 I didn’t expect breaking into the top three in our debut season, but we exchanged wins with Leo Victor and simply destroyed Robinhood (6-2 and 3-0)! Only Inter appeared way too strong for us (2-6 and 0-4), still they only had a two point advantage in the end. Cup Sadly lost the semifinal with almost 3 xG and only two shots on target from our opponents (and SNL actually did the same thing in our league game too). Squad stats Marcelencio Waal – his aerial ability was enough to be a star on this level too! He scored 100 goals in 110 games for us and earned the club icon status. N.Pinas *25a – also managed to keep his form on a higher level. Y.Pinas *26b – missed the final month with injury, but set the club record in assists anyway. Transfers – we sold the first player for money (surprise as he was a backup at best). Youth intake (preview) Bynoe *27a | Pinas *27b | Esajas *27c | Muringen *27d | Donald *27e This time we didn’t get many players ready to be starters, however Bynoe had 1+6 in five last games of the season. We also got the first international callups this year, and there surely will be more with the quality of latest intakes.
  9. House of Billiards | Suriname | Season 2026 I’m furious, how could we lost the final game instead of recording the perfect season? Anyway I’m eager to see how this team is going to play in the top division. Cup Santos finished 4th in the top division and this game happened before the youth intake which was really good, so I think we can aim at least for a top half finish. Squad stats Waal had another great season, not sure if he stays a starter for the next season as we got a better striker in youth intake but will be a useful targetman option. Pinas impressed as a box-to-box midfielder and also was our first penalty choice. Transfers – we lost three starters in a week after securing promotion and turning semi-pro. I can understand our best assistant Maatrijk who went to the top tier a bit earlier than us, but Augustin and Klinker preferred an amateur team to our part-time offers Youth intake (preview) Pandooi *26a | Y.Pinas *26b | Becker *26c | Baïno *26d | Waal *26e | Klinker *26f | Comvalius *26g | Malone *26h | Wijdenbosch *26i | G.Pinas *26j That’s a certain golden generation, ten players with 5* CA!
  10. House of Billiards | Suriname | Season 2025 As I expected at the end of last season, this improved squad was able to win promotion quite easily (the final step was the hardest though, we lost two potentially title-winning games in a row). Cup Defeated two teams from a division above and only lost to the top league champions Robinhood. Inter Boskamp eventually won promotion, so probably we'll have a chance for it next season. Squad stats Waal remained our top goalscorer, the top four youngsters from last year’s intake complete the attacking line (Maatrijk missed quite a lot with injuries though). Defense remained our weakness, but the new intake should make the squad more balanced and prepared for D2. Transfers – Rocky was our best player at start, but wasn’t good enough even for the bench now. Youth intake (preview) Pinas *25a | Waterberg *25b | Strooker *25c | Kwasie *25d | Pengel *25e | Hardley *25f | Roemer *25g | Uhlenbeek *25h Now we have decent squad depth on most positions (and probably will change to 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 with a lot of good midfielders). Our chairman certainly likes youth development! Hopefully at some point we will be able to build better facilities too.
  11. House of Billiards | Suriname Decided to try the Caribbean league pack too, choosing a nation that is well known for producing generations of Dutch football stars. There is no relegation in third tier, so I picked the bottom team. New kits to justify the club name Manager profile (didn’t expect to see a town named Livorno here!) Starting squad Yes, just seven youngsters including two goalkeepers, the biggest ‘star’ is forward Cheuk-A-Lam. Season 2024 Did better than expected, despite playing two games in a week from March to May with no rotation at all and any injury becoming a huge problem. I guess if our first full youth intake happened a month earlier, we’d have a great chance for promotion (finished with 5 wins in a row and best overall goal difference)! Cup Almost a comeback after an awful first half. Squad stats Marcelencio Waal – a guy who can head the ball and actually nothing more, but this was enough to become league’s top goalscorer. Ronaldo Hardley – hardly a Ronaldo , but did his job well. Surprisingly scored a few headers despite being the shortest player in our squad! Transfers Youth intake (preview) Koolwijk *24a | Amalensi *24b | Maatrijk *24c | Klinker *24d Signed everyone of course, don’t care about personalities and potentials (we are amateurs with awful facilities anyway), but at least can field a full squad now.
  12. Livorno | Season 2049/50 | Serie A (likely the end) The league didn’t go well from the start, we only managed to finish 11th, but reached quarter-finals both in national cup and Conference League (conceded the decisive goal on 120th minute against Ajax, a much better team which eventually won the trophy against Man City in the final). However, one thing that concerned me during few last seasons is the lack of our youth players’ development, and I decided to look up the potentials. The result was quite sad: The core of our squad are the players highlighted in red. What unites them all? They came through four consecutive intakes, from 2037 to 2040. 2037 was the year of our first promotion to Serie A and maxing out the youth coaching/recruitment with TV money, so an improvement was expected. But what happened in the next decade with perfect facilities, better staff and reputation? One good intake of 2044 (highlighted in blue), one real wonderkid from last year but all other players won’t be better than Serie B leaders. Replacing Bakkenes with a better personality (but less skilled) HOYD also was a mistake, I guess
  13. Livorno | Season 2048/49 | Serie A Not the best result (missed a chance to finish 6th with losing to Atalanta at home in the end), but surely the best performance so far and deserved European qualification! I think we have a chance to progress far in the Conference League. Coppa Italia Got even closer to our first quarter-final, but lost with the 11th penalty in shootout. Squad stats C.Sardelli *38a and E.Taglioli *39d – both our right wingers had a great season, giving me quite a tough choice before every game. L.Annunziata *37a – remained our top goalscorer (though I wish we had a more consistent striker). B.Corsi *40a – still our leader in midfield. D.Fabbrizzi *44i – our key center-back and league’s best young defender now. H.Ambrose *43d – full-back positions are still our weak spots, but this young Nigerian played quite well. C.Caforio *31d – another club veteran to retire, he played 378 games and scored 26 goals for us. Transfers – our veteran DM Pedaggi (254 games) couldn’t save Spezia from relegation. Youth intake (preview) Castelnuovo *49a | Marcucci *49b | Mazzoni *49c | Del Signore *49d | Piazza *49e A potentially top class left winger and a few other decent players. Also the board finally approved one more youth affiliate – Feirense from second Portuguese league (though I didn't feel any benefits from our previous affiliations, no one of Uruguayan, Serbian or Croatian players in our intakes was really promising).
  14. Livorno | Season 2047/48 | Serie A The start was very hard, we had to play against all big teams within first 10 games while both our goalkeepers were unsettled by Inter (no idea why, they had two backups of the same level). It went a bit better than expected – at least we avoided the relegation zone, but finding good form wasn’t easy anyway. Meanwhile Juventus became the first team in 20 years to take the trophy outside city of Milan! Coppa Italia So far we can’t get past third round, but this was surely the closest try. Squad stats C.Sardelli *38a – set our new best average rating for Serie A. L.Annunziata *37a – finally one of our strikers managed to score more than 10 goals. B.Corsi *40a – not as great as he was last season, but he doesn’t leave the club anymore and earned a new contract (a really huge one, more than 60k per week but we need to keep the best players here!) T.Ferrara *38f – was mostly a backup during the season, but I gave him a chance after Rosaia had a poor run, and he didn’t concede at all in last seven games (we played against outsiders, but it’s our all-time best defensive run anyway)! D.Amata *40k – quite impressed by the right-back who wasn’t among the top prospects in his intake but has the highest playing time and one of the best ratings now. G.Sabba *30a – our captain is retiring after playing 550 games for the first team. Transfers – sadly Duka, who looked like a top prospect at arrival, didn’t develop at all. Youth intake (preview) Diop *48a | Ciardini *48b | Ruggeri *48c | Iacono *48d | Otelli *48e Diop can become a good full-back, but certainly needs to improve his pace.
  15. Livorno | Season 2046/47 | Serie A A step back, but we actually performed better than last season, just didn’t have as much luck. And I never expected to qualify for Europe again anyway. Coppa Italia Certainly not the most important competition this season, and our backup players were swept away in first half. Europa League We played the whole group stage with a fully rotated squad but qualified quite easily, losing only to Liverpool. Sadly the playoff games didn’t go as well, we lost in Holland, came back at home but scored only once in shootout and went out. Squad stats B.Corsi *40a – our best player by ability proved it on the pitch, leading the team in goals, assists and average rating. There’s one downside though – he is unsettled and wanted by several bigger European and Arabian clubs, but with three more years under contract there is a chance to keep him. G.Sabba *30a – last spring our captain suffered a spine injury which could end his career at this age, but he returned and was one of our best players this season! C.Sardelli *38a and P.Tani *39g – good performance on the wings. D.Fabbrizzi *44i – was a useful rotation center-back, developed really well and likely will be a starter next season. A.Lonardo *44a – a backup central midfielder and our first player to be selected into the NXGN top 50 list! Transfers – defenders Stabile and Leporatti both played around 200 games for the first team, mostly thanks to a lack of better options though. Youth intake (preview) Alagna *47a | El Hadaoui *47b | Roventini *47c | Previtali *47d | Fanciulli *47e I will retrain Alagna as a left-back, hopefully his personality will be changed through mentoring. And this lack of good personalities forced me to take a risk – I moved Roy Bakkenes, our HOYD since 2029, to an assistant manager position (he’s a world class coach, but seems to have low ambition) and hired Rafael Luis, a model citizen with a 4-3-3 favourite formation and some potential to improve. We are the most reputable team with 3,5* in Italy now, and for the first time got this choice of a training camp (I chose Croatia, not sure if moving to other continents would benefit us much).
