Nothing mentioned but considering it sounds like a complete mess behind the scenes, I highly doubt they're giving early access this year. If they were, it'd almost certainly be announced with the reveal trailer to increase pre orders...

Same here, although if there's no beta this year (High possibility with the high pressure to get this out for full release day), I don't see any benefit of pre ordering. Might as well just wait for release and see what people's initial thoughts are.

Also predicting that this year won't have the 2 week early access for pre ordering, as it sounds like the game isn't in any sort of release state yet and they'll probably be working till the last day on this. They're causing issues for themselves though, as if there is indeed no beta, people won't pre order, and the later they release it, the more likely people will just wait for the new year sales to buy.

I agree, the late release really dampens excitement if you mainly want to play FM during the real season and lose interest in the current game when the actually season ends. Or like others have mentioned, early access in late September/early October would be fine, and would be able to excuse any bugs and removal of certain modes. But this is unfortunately the doings of FM being a monopoly. They can release it whenever they want and charge for beta access and nobody really can complain if they want this type of game...

I think it'd be a pretty dumb move considering the November release date already feels too late, and a lot of players like me lose interest in the current version when the season ends in May, so an even longer wait between games wouldn't go down well..

Great stuff. I also started a malaga save and had to sell Robert Fernández as I got a £5m offer for him in Jan. In my first summer, I also managed to get Yamal on a completely free loan from barca, and also Fermin Lopez on a loan for like 1.5k a week! They're pushing me up atm and I'm 8 points clear after 20 games (was 14 points clear but been having a few poor games recently)

I've started a Real Betis save this year. They are sort of my Spanish team (partner from seville and have been to their stadium a couple of times!), but felt they were a bit uninspired with an older squad the last couple of seasons. This season looks like a fun one, with Fekir and Isco together, and old guard Bellerin and Bartra back. Also a new wonderkid who's excelling in real life in Assane Diao. I'm also possibly planning a malaga rebuild save at some point. Checked their squad briefly and from the player valuations, it looks like they'll be quite strong for the third division and seem to have a lot of promising youth!

Started a save with Roma and spent quite some time sorting out the tactics, youth teams, transfers etc. Before moving forward ans suddenly finding out Dybala has a £10m release clause which the Saudis activated instantly, and he moved Had to quit the save after that, as there's no way I'm planning on losing my best player for £10m. Just wondering if I restart, if it's possible to get him to agree to a new contract without a release clause. Only issue is as soon as Saudis show interest, he says you can't offer the financial muscle that he wants (Saudis gave him £800k p/w on this save!)

Yeah it's whats making me think the worst atm. Because surely with the reception over the last couple of days, if they had set it to release later today, they'd all be on here giving hints and stirring up some hype? They might keep quiet if they know its not coming out as they don't want to give the mods another hard clean up job.

Hype, pretty much. We had over 100 members on this thread throughout the day, although it seems to have backfired and turned into negative attention now! I do agree, Neil Brocks "Today is not that day" was quite useful in previous editions.

You'd think on the day of beta that all the SI staff would come out early and tease on here, and so far there's been radio silence.. I think they're taking into account the negativity from yesterday and just staying quiet if its not today
