[Pre select existing manager instead of creating one ?]

I'm surpised they don't have a direcor of football mode. I've always expected that to add it in but it never has been.

 

I think it would be very interesting and as far as I can tell it wouldn't be anymore difficult to implement than what they have.

I know you can do it by making your assitant manager I manage games whilst you holiday - but it's not the same as the utility to hire people like Mourihnho, Klopp, Simeone etc... would be.

For people who like singing regens espeically I think it would be enjoyalble as you'd blitz through seasons in no time as well.

Basically I'm trying to make it so that both Celtic and Rangers play in the english league system whilst they have B teams which play in Scotland.

 

I had an FM 21 save going where I did this exactly the same but in the third season my Rangers B side got completely removed from the Sctottish system and replaced by a Highland league team called Brora Rangers.

 

I then purchase FM 24 to try and see if this will allow me to edit this more succesfully.

 

As you can see my inital set up was once again fine (ignore the relegation from holidaying. This bears no relevance what so ever for the disapperannce).

 

 

 

Once I get to the 26/27 season as you can see Ranger finished 3rd in the SPL.

 

 

 

HOWEVER rangers in the 27/28 season have been replaced by Brechin from out of nowhere!

 

This is an exact repeat of what my issue was on FM 21. And it only seems to affect Rangers specifcally. Celtics on both carry on.

 

Someone else suggested that Rangers had entered and exited with their real B teams and that this may be causing an issue. However, in this instance it's actually Celtic who's b team IS set for the lowland leagues but Celtic do not seem affected by this.

I did not even touch any of that besides substitutions and O23/O28 rules

Thank you. My B team was obviously created using FM 21 so not sure what happened.

 

From what I've seen elsewhere on this forum using search tools was a suggeston that setting this scenario the same way - but marking it out epxicitly on the edtiro as a 'reserve team' rather than B team might avoid any automatic background triggers.

 

I'm doing it on the FM 24 editor now and will holiday and report back incase anyone has the same idea and issue in future.

Do you know where I can find this sepcifcally?

 

Someone on a different forum mentioend that in real life in the last few years Ranegrs and Celtics have had real B teams in the highland league, before changing their mind and getting rid. And that this might be the cause of the issue.

I've just brought FM 24 and will try again. I'm gonna make sure I do things properly and holidaying a save to test as well as doig in edtior tests.

I'm paying FM 2021.

I used the pregame editor to put Rangers and Celtic in league 2 of the English league system with both clubs having 'B' teams in the SPL.

I played two full seasons and everything was working perfectly.

I won the SPL and was about to start my third season when I noticed that Rangers B (the club I'm managing) are no longer in the SPL. Instead some random highland team called 'Brora Rangers' are instead.

I have since loaded up the edited file that I have been using and ran tests of it and this issues doesn't happen.

Celtic B are still in the SPL and I checked the 'Teams next season' tab on the editor. There is no removal of anyone as far as I can tell.

I also checked the tab for this 'Brora Rangers' club. There is nothing indicating it is queued to come into the SPL.

I have holidayed forward a season to see if it allows my B team back but it does not.

(The Barrow and harrogate changes are just clubs I removed to make way)
