  1. Rynninge IK - August 2036 My chairman is an idiot. A whole bunch of clubs were sniffing around 35d Alain Ibara, offering £350 plus add-ons. Obviously I was rejecting those immediately. Then IK Sirius (Allsvenskan) came in with £8k + 1.5k for 10 appearances + 40% of next sale + friendly. Obviously that's a lot more, but it's still basically nothing, especially when we're £165k in the red. But apparently that was an offer too good to refuse, and our starting left-back was on his way. Got to hope he turns into a world-beater for the 40% to be worth something. --------------------------------------------- Incidentally, we have two clauses currently available to sell for a total of £50k. Not worth doing at the moment, but I've been keeping an eye on it and these amounts have been rising since the start of the season (originally £10k and £5k). -
  2. Rynninge IK - July 2036 I put the AssMan in charge of team selection, and after the first three games back from the break I was cautiously optimistic that we might be looking a bit better. At the least, we were scoring goals and winning games at home. Then we travelled to Husqvarna and were 6-1 down by half-time. Five players were fined a fortnight's wage. We're showing no signs of being able to pull away from trouble. A year after I was last invited to an interview, they're at it again. Falkenbergs FF - Allsvenskan (16th)
  3. Rynninge IK - June 2036 We're having one of those seasons again. Just absolutely useless. Our last two games were losses to the sides in 16th and 15th at the time. Pathetic. We now have a one month break for some reason, which is probably for the best because at the moment these morons are apparently doing everything they can to try and get relegated.
  4. Rynninge IK - April 2036 We've simultaneously made both a poor start and a good start to the season. With midweek games in the mix the first-team have been taking the Saturday matches, while the second string plays on Wednesdays. The first-team have been woeful, picking up just two points. In fairness, Adam Jönsson has been out injured so his goal threat has been missing, but even so, this has been pretty bad. 29c Ibrahim Koroma has responded to his new contract with an average rating of 6.43 and one red card. But the second string have shown some fighting spirit, rallying late on in games to take six points. We sit in 8th place.
  5. Rynninge IK - 2036 Pre-Season The board cut the link with Örebro SK, which is annoying. They never sent us any players on loan, and I couldn't have used them anyway, but giving up the £25k per season, plus another £10k for a friendly, is just silly. I did ask for a new senior affiliate to be found, but the board couldn't find anyone appropriate at this time. --------------------------------------------- I've kept my squad together, but there were a couple of players being sniffed around. Stjarnan (Iceland, Pepsi-deildin) made an offer for 29c Ibrahim Koroma, worth zero. Obviously rejected, but this upset him. A month later, when there was no further interest, he got over it and signed a new contract. Also getting attention was a star from our most recent intake, 35d Alain Ibara. SonderjyskE (Denmark, Superliga) tried snatching him away from his youth contract. We would have only got £12k in compensation, but we convinced to stay with us on a two year senior contract instead. --------------------------------------------- Expectations for the new season are the same as last. The media and bookies think we'll be relegated, the board want us to avoid this. ---------------------------------------------
  6. Previous Clubs In a parallel from last year, Tyresö FF (Division 1 Norra) finished three places and seven points ahead of us. This time it was 3rd and 6th though, rather than 9th and 12th. They beat us on the opening day of the season, we picked up the victory in the return tie. When we faced them again soon after, they knocked us out of Svenska Cupen. Operation: Revenge is not going well so far.
  7. Rynninge IK - 2035 Season Review After last season's disaster I was relieved to be competitive in the top-half of the table again. We scored 13 more goals and conceded seven fewer, en route to gaining 17 more points. When we briefly had a positive bank balance I chanced my luck, and must have caught the chairman in a good mood. Upgrades were approved for both junior coaching and youth recruitment, bringing them up to a good standard. For consistency, I will be checking our bank balance going forward after the new sponsorship deals, membership fees, and fundraising amounts come in. We're generally operating in the red, but that's normally the one time in the season we have a positive amount. --------------------------------------------- For the first time in ages (and it could be ever, I haven't gone back through and checked), we've finished with two players in double figures. Both of our starting strikers, 30k Anders Persson-Engwall and 31b Anders Aronsson, reached this milestone. Adam Jönsson likely would have made it too, but missed most of the last few months through injury. Even so, he still contributed a good amount of goals and assists. He couldn't match T20b Magnus Ternstedt though, who made a new club record with 14 assists. He was also player of the season for a fifth time. --------------------------------------------- T20b Magnus Ternstedt is running away at the top of these charts, though at 31 he'll only have a few more years left. 31b Anders Aronsson and 30b Thomas Svensson both reached a century of appearances this season. He doesn't make the all-time list yet, but 32g Max Ingvarsson was our first-choice goalie, making 30 appearances and keeping seven clean sheets. He was one of seven academy graduates making their debuts this season. --------------------------------------------- The Reserves won their second tier group for a sixth year in a row but can't get promoted. They finished 16 points ahead of the runners-up. The Under 19s came 3rd in the initial stage of the U19 Premier Division, and then 10th in the Champions stage. ---------------------------------------------
  8. Rynninge IK - October 2035 What a disappointing end to a good season. They just gave up in the final few matches. Luckily Sollentuna FK could only draw on the final day, otherwise we'd have dropped a place. Best attack in the division, but only two worse defences.
  9. October 2035 - Poached Players The two lads poached by Örebro SK in early 2034 have come through for them in this year's intake. Even with most attributes vague, 35x Lars Jakobsson looks pretty decent to me. We get 5% of their next sale.
  10. Rynninge IK - 2035 Youth Intake A golden generation! There's a lot to like about this, though tempered slightly with the usual poor personalities and determination attributes. Seven players are listed with 5.0 PA, and another three with 4.5. But the pleasing thing about this is that four of them already have at least 1.5 CA, and they're the ones with better personalities and determination. A few of them could probably go straight into our senior squad, and possibly even challenge for a starting spot. Since we're going well I'm not sure I'll do that right now, but they should definitely be in the mix next season.
  11. Rynninge IK - August 2035 We were flying in the league this month, four great wins. Lots of goals too, and they were spread around the team with 12 strikes coming from eight different players. There was a ninth scorer in Svenska Cupen, but unfortunately we crashed out against Tyresö FF. The second string played this match, I knew it was a risk but I decided we had to prioritise the league at this time. Looking good. We're safe from relegation, and it's now a battle with Tyresö FF to finish higher. 31b Anders Aronsson is having the best season of his career, with 11 goals so far.
  12. Rynninge IK - July 2035 A really good month at home. We finally picked up a first win over Tyresö FF, putting a dent in their promotion bid. We also came out on top on a goalfest against IFK Stocksund, with five goals coming from five different scorers. But away we were rubbish, losing to a pair of teams in the relegation area. Solidly midtable.
  13. Rynninge IK - June 2035 Seven points from a possible 15 is a decent return. Not pulling up any trees, but enough to keep us ticking along. The issue is that we're looking streaky again. We've had unbeaten runs of five and four games, but also three losses in a row, and now two consecutive losses. And the next game is Tyresö FF, so I expect that will be another. Solidly midtable. Scoring more than everyone else, but also conceding more. First interview offer of the year. Falkenbergs FF - Allsvenskan (16th)
  14. Rynninge IK - May 2035 A player previously poached in early 2033 came through in the Östersunds FK 2034 intake. It's pretty hard to judge him with the attributes being so vague, but let's hope he gets good so we get 5% of the sale. --------------------------------------------- The bookies and the media both expect us to be relegated in last place. The board want us to fight bravely against relegation, so it sounds like they're not much more confident. --------------------------------------------- After ending 2034 against Tyresö FF, the fixture computer drew us against them on the first day of the 2035 season too. Unfortunately, the result was the same. My revenge against them is yet to come, it's now three unanswered defeats. Given how poorly last season went, this loss made we worried that the predictions of doom would be accurate. But the players had other ideas. We battered the next two teams that we played, and turned this info a five game unbeaten run. We also got thumped a couple of time ourselves - conceding twice in the 90th minute to lose to Lunds BK wasn't fun. But a screamer from 32d Filip Lundberg saw us end the month with a win. A good start, and we're certainly the team to watch if you want to see some goals. And more of them are going in our favour than against, so I'm enjoying it for now.
  15. Previous Clubs Tyresö FF (Division 1 Norra) are now in the same league as us. They beat us both home and away, finished three places and seven points ahead. We were this close to being relegated by them on the final day, we need revenge.
  16. Rynninge IK - 2024 Season Review A big drop-off from last year. It's probably a little simplistic to put it all down to the departure of 29d Axel Lundh, but that was certainly a large part of it. Lesson learnt - don't sell players unless the money will definitely be able to make a difference. The final day of this season was three weeks later than the final day of last season (no idea why the schedule keeps changing each year), so the bank balance compared to last year isn't a fair comparison. While it was briefly positive I asked for upgrades, but was denied. --------------------------------------------- Adam Jönsson had a really good season with 16 goals from the right wing. I've managed to sign him up for another two years and slightly reduced his pay (to £150 per week). The other remaining senior players will be leaving when their contracts expire. T20b Magnus Ternstedt was our fan's player of the year for a fourth time in a row, and also had the highest average rating in the history of Division 1 Norra. Up front 30k Ander Persson-Engwall and 31b Anders Aronsson weren't exactly prolific, but both made decent contributions. We scored five more goals than last year, but also conceded 22 more. The defence well and truly let down the rest of the squad. Why did I stick with 32b Lucas Andersson for so long? Ouch. --------------------------------------------- T20b Magnus Ternstedt is now listed as a club icon, and it's well deserved. Seven academy players made their debuts this year. The newbie with the most appearances is just off the bottom of this list, as 31i Sebastian Svensson was a regular at right back, playing 25 times. Edit: 32b Lucas Anderson should be SWE, not ENG / JAM --------------------------------------------- The Reserves won their second tier group for a fifth year in a row but can't get promoted. The Under 19s came 5th in the initial stage of the U19 Premier Division, then only picked up a single point to finish 14th in the Champions stage. ---------------------------------------------
  17. Let's hope so! I think after finishing 5th and 6th I got caught up in the idea that we should be pushing on, but that was probably an overperformance. The players who came through the first intake are only 21, so this is a young squad, and the disruption of our best defender leaving had a big effect. A few seasons at this level is probably a more realistic expectation. Just got to hope someone catches fire, and I can find a way to stop conceding so many.
  18. Rynninge IK - October 2034 Absolutely pathetic bunch of losers. Only survived because IFK Timrå couldn't get their act together either.
  19. Rynninge IK - September 2034 This season is just a chore to get through. It's constantly one step forward, then one or two steps back. We're just so streaky. At no point in this season have we won just one game, it's been three in a row, then five in a row, then two in a row. But this has been interspersed with winless runs of seven, six, and four games. Even when it started looking like things were back in order this month, we got smashed by Sollentuna FK. We had double the shots and a lot more possession, but somehow they scored with all four of their shots on target. Any other save my goalkeeper would be released or transfer-listed, but nope, can't do that here. Didn't even have the option to fine him. We should be safe from relegation, but the game against Tyresö FF on the final day could decide which of us has bragging rights for the season.
  20. Rynninge IK - 2034 Youth Intake A golden generation! Oh, come on! Our HoYD has a determination attribute of 11. Why does he keep finding all these clowns who barely have a desire to tie up their laces? There's so much PA here too, but so much of it that will never be met. I've left staff recruitment delegated throughout this career, and this HoYD has been with the club my entire time here. I think it's time to take control of this, get rid of him, and bring in someone new.
  21. Rynnnige IK - August 2034 We sold one player this month. On paper Daniel Augustsson should have been our best player, but on the pitch it just wasn't happening. There was an offer from Norway for £10k but he rejected this, so instead he stays within Sweden for £4.1k + 50% of next sale. This saves us £190 a week, and he would have been off at the end of the season anyway. I don't see this as any big loss. --------------------------------------------- This is a nice feature. Svenska Cupen is very much not a priority at the moment, staying in Division 1 Norra is the aim, so giving up home advantage for £30k is a no-brainer. It doesn't necessarily do much for us right now, our bank balance is still about £100k in the red, but it could be the difference at the end of the season. If we potentially have a positive balance after membership fees and sponsorship payments come in, then that might allow us to get some upgrades approved again. --------------------------------------------- I spun the tactics roulette wheel again, and ended up giving 4-5-1 a crack. And touch wood, this might be the one that turns our season around. Including the game at the end of July, we won five games in a row with it, and scored a lot of goals. T20b Magnus Ternstedt had one heck of a month, in particular during the Täby FK match when he scored two free-kicks, scored two screamers from outside the area, and also claimed an assist from a free-kick. Our winning streak ended to Jönköpings Södra, but that was expected with a rotated XI taking to the pitch. We didn't quite get back to it in the following match with Nyköpings BIS, but a draw's not a bad result. We've pulled out of the relegation area, thanks not only to our good form but also none of the five teams below us being able to win any matches this month. We've scored more than anyone else in the division, but also conceded the most. The best news though is that we're now ahead of Tyresö FF.
  22. Rynninge IK - July 2034 We're at the point in the save where I hate my team and everything about it. They're just finding new ways to be incompetent, but mostly centred around conceding as many goals as possible. The real nadir was of course the loss to Tyresö FF. We were 1-0 up at half-time, then they went down to ten men just before the hour, and we still somehow lost. There were two bad mistakes which gifted them the points - a suicidal backpass from 31c Carl Hallstensson (two week fine) for one, and then we wasted a corner and they broke away and scored (even worse, it was by our old boy T27h Hannes Johansson). Even when we finally managed to win a game we still conceded three times. In the relegation play-off place. Just a terrible year so far. I'd take 12th at this point, but I'll be really annoyed if Tyresö FF finish above us. We have to get revenge on the final day. Why are top tier clubs still contacting me for interviews? Which part of conceding 37 times in 17 games do they consider good? IF Brommapojkarna - Allsvenskan (14th) Örebro SK - Allsvenskan (15th)
  23. Rynninge IK - June 2034 After the poor opening to the season I made a bunch of changes to the formation, line-up, and instructions, desperate to provoke some sort of change. This is what I've currently stumbled on, but will probably change again when I next get annoyed. After the win at the end of April we added two more this month to make it three in a row, and a draw then made it six games unbeaten. But we completely collapsed against Lunds BK, giving them a four goal headstart within 25 minutes. We managed to pull it back to 4-3 and inundated their goal in the second half, but failed to score an equaliser and they instead added another to kill the game off. I don't really have any other options in goal, but I feel like I have to put someone else in for a bit because 29j Mathias Tillman has just been hopeless this year. We've put a little gap between us and the bottom four. Tyresö FF have overtaken us now though. We play them on matchday 15, and also on the final day.
  24. Rynninge IK - May 2034 Two months on, and I can confirm that yes, this was a terrible decision. We've been crap at the back over the start of the season, conceding an average of more than two goals per game. We scored twice as many in May as we did April though, so hopefully we can keep that going. Our first win of the year pulled us out of the relegation area. You might want to look at the team just below us in 12th. We play them for the first time in July.
  25. Rynninge IK - 2024 Pre-Season Örebro SK are our parent club, and pay us £25k per annum, but even so, this is a bit naughty of them. I could forgive poaching one prospect before they come through our academy, but taking two is going rogue. One of them even had gold star potential, so could have been a good player. --------------------------------------------- The players mentioned in the squad analysis were released, but one big name followed them out. Interest came in for 29d Axel Lundh, and he made it clear he wanted to leave. I admit this could be a mistake on my behalf - I thought he only had one year left on his contract so decided to take the money, but it turns out he actually had two left so it may have been more sensible to keep him. The initial offer from AFC Eskilstuna (Superettan) was worth £7.5 k + £1.8k for 50 appearances + 30% of profit + friendly. I negotiated this up and offered him out for a bit more, and another half dozen clubs got involved. After a few more days of accepting, re-negotiating, and cancelling, we eventually ended up with the following that went through just before the deadline. He's off to Falkenbergs FF (Allsvenskan) for £25k + 50% of next sale + friendly. --------------------------------------------- That now leaves us with the following first choice and second string line-ups going into the new season. --------------------------------------------- The bookies and media both think we'll be relegated. The board don't have much higher hopes, and want us to avoid going down automatically, and aim for the relegation play-off.
