Will you play Women's football in FM25?
SkaldfraNorden replied to CalumF's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
Just like the English 5th tier, or Gibraltar, or Icelandic league, no, not gonna play it, just gonna take up processing time -
FM 25 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
SkaldfraNorden replied to OmnissiahMasteR's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
The bolded part. If it were free updates/patches that you get in the base game over time, sure! Like PDX has been doing with Vic3 or CKIII, base games have become vastly different since release, and you get all the updates incrementally for what you paid for originally. But FM is an annual franchise, and spending 40-50e/usd/gbp every year, and only a couple of bugfix patches in the meantime - no. -
There are none game-breaking, as the game doesn't crash to desktop, at least not for me once it goes through the loading sequence up to the main menu, but from the top of my head, constantly, but constantly clicking every time I load the game and go to any screen with customizable columns right click > auto size all columns > manually set width so everything stays within one screen You'd think the UI in 2021, let alone 2024 would be more adaptable than that

It's been going on for a while, but the amount of fixes from patches, practically amount to hotfixes, and a completely new version is what a patch should be. I still remember when we actually got a new feature in the winter patch, I think it was FM08 or 12, so it is possible. And what does "...and more" mean in the changelist? If something was changed, simply list it, there are tools to generate the changes automatically A joke edit: screenshoting the post in case it's deleted, like the one above

African youth players not receiving work permit
SkaldfraNorden commented on Benzegoal's issue in Denmark Competition Specific Issues
Having the same issue, but don't have the file right now To reproduce: 1. Wait for the youth intake with FCN 2. Offer a youth player from GHA or CIV a contract (NOT the youth, a full time contract) with wage lower than 975e per week 3. He will sign it, but fail WP and be ineligible to play -
Dear Si, Miles, mods and developers
SkaldfraNorden replied to LingLing's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
Fair enough, thanks Also, to be clear, outside of this point he made, however blunt and maybe clumsy it was, the rest of the post is tantrum, but the most of the commenters in the thread focused on this -

I kinda agree with the OP, as I was a mod/admin on one the fan sites somewhere back between 2011 and 2015 or so To mods, ok, you police the forum and check for spam etc etc, but really, do you have any influence over the game development, besides the beta testing the new versions? -
Will you be buying FM23 ?
SkaldfraNorden replied to alian62's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
Absolutely agree on the bolded part, that's why I don't bother posting much, tbh. We might just be in the middle of the new generation of players coming in, while the older (by playing time, not tears) are staying on older games, who knows... Oh well, luckily there are other replayable games out there, it isn't all about FM after all -
Will you be buying FM23 ?
SkaldfraNorden replied to alian62's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
Nope, first time in 21 years I won't be buying it. I've got already diminished playtime since FM17, but I still got that buzz around September/October that I "just had to have it and play it". Not now, maybe I got older or lost interest, but I feel it's just not much to look forward to this time. You're correct about the poster having one client and being focused on their needs, compared to SI. But, what if, just if, the SI's feel about the game direction is wrong? Hypothetically speaking. Do you like the game's direction last few years? I don't to be honest as most of the features that are put in new iterations could be places in a bigger patch, call it 22 v2.0 for instance. I still remember where we got new features during the winter patch, FM08 it was, and studio was much, much smaller.
