  1. Did post in this thread, but i'll keep you guys updated as well

I'm currently starting a save with several leagues loaded, most only the first division but the top two from the "big 5" (England, Germany, Italy, Spain and France). I'll let it go over the night, with the target to be ten years into the future, and i'll upload the save after it's done. I might not have the time to investigate how everything looks, but i'm sure someone will give it  look. I'll update later exactly what leagues and so forth that i loaded, but i really need to get to bed now! See ya all tomorrow, hopefully with good news!

    The leagues i've loaded are:

    England (2 divisions)
    Argentina
    Belgium
    Brazil
    France (2 divisions)
    Hollande
    Italy (2 divisions)
    Croatia
    Portugal
    Scotland
    Spain (2 divisions)
    Sweden
    Germany (2 divisions)

Eu, South America, Africa: Players from clubs top division, Players from top clubs

    Start England,27/6 - 2022

Add players to playable teams, Do not use hidden values

20 leagues, 13 countries, large database, about 135 000 players

    No added databases

I'll keep you updated with the save, in case anyone wants to give it a go or just check the results. I probably won't have the time to give it a deep check, the wifey has me bookde for the weekend, but i'll make sure to upload the save as soon as i can! Does anyone have a particular upload site the recommend?

  3. Here we go, I've finally simulated @LeoFM save until 2039. I haven't looked at the save yet, I just got home and need to eat something lol! But here's the save, 1st of January 2039 with the hotfix from 25st of October. Here's the link for anyone who either want to study how the development has changed or just want to play in the future, enjoy!

EDIT: For anyone interested, here's the leagues loaded: image.thumb.png.e5c41550004dda918b67b6ecef6c26b7.png

    Not to promising...

However only one example, we will need to do a more detailed statistical analysis to draw conclusions.

I will do an analysis of player development pre vs post update after work tomorrow, provided there is a new save at 2039. Of course the pre-update simulation at 2039 is available for download at https://www.mediafire.com/file/3nxdxj3kfe8plej/FM23_Player_Development_Test_Top_Leagues_Loaded.fm/file (thx @SupraFlush), so maybe someone will be able to make an analysis earlier than that.

I can see that the setup save file I uploaded for the new simulation has already been downloaded 32 times, so thanks a lot to the people that are actually currently running a simulation.

Mine should probably be ready by then, unless something comes up. I'll post it here when it's ready for anyone who wants to take a look how the players develop.

Having a bit of a rethink on this, and now quite interested to see how a save works in response. So going to continue on for a season to see if the technical atts move up.

Understandable, the players should develop as "normal" now, but we won't know for sure until we get a couple of years into the game. So if you don't think your players are "ruined" I'd either continue with the save or wait until tomorrow where I'll take a look with @LeoFM at the result from the holidaying. I'll upload the save here as well so if you want to take a look at how the players look then just wait until I upload the file

    Ah okay, thank you.

So if I played one season, a player would only ‘miss’ one year of normal development or is that player permanently going to miss out on this patch?

Precisely, that's what SI have said in another thread. I played two seasons before I took a break, and it's definitely noticeable that the mental attributes are developing way more than the technical, and I currently can't continue without screwing up some of my exciting young players. So as long as you are aware of if you can play as much as you want or do some challenge, the match engine feels more alive with the ball bouncing a lot more than before and it feels more alive, even though there seems to be more long balls than it should be. So yeah it's up to you how important youth development is for you!

So am I right in thinking we can get on with our main save and the fix will apply into it?

They will fix it, but the players will remain the same if you play a season or so. They can't fix it retroactively so if you're concerned about the development of your players I'd hold off on playing for more than a season(or at all) unless you want to get great mental attributes but bad technical ones.

  8. @LeoFM Here we go! I got some stuff that I needed to take care of, sorry for being a bit late with it, here's the link for you and everyone else that might be interested, Jan 1st 2039: https://www.mediafire.com/file/3nxdxj3kfe8plej/FM23_Player_Development_Test_Top_Leagues_Loaded.fm/file

I'm currently setting up the big database, 230 k players and 120+ leagues will be interesting to say the least!

All leagues fron every country, however if you notice the sim is too slow then do just the top flights (with maybe 2nd tier in the big five nations).

As for the player database, you can select (in the advanced section) every continent and tick all boxes except for "Players based in nation" and "Players of nationality". This is what I used for my previous simulation.

    Thanks again, good work!

Perfect! Your save will definitely be done tonight, and after that I'll start on the big one and let that one run over the night. I'll update how it looks tomorrow after work.

Well currently my priority is getting a save with some of the top leagues loaded to January 1st 2039 to compare the results to my first sim with only one league loaded. Would really appreciate if you helped me get that save to 2039!

Download the save from the link below and holiday until Jan 1st 2039 (do not add/remove any leagues), then you can send me the save through mediafire or whatever file uploading tool you want.
    https://www.mediafire.com/file/l47v013iiqc8nw2/FM23_Player_Development_Test_Top_Leagues_Loaded.zip/file

How long would it take you to holiday to 2039 with all leagues loaded? That would be my second priority since it would measure the affect of playable leagues to a greater degree of accuracy.
Tbh I don't know how much more testing there is needed to be done on this, since SI have already confirmed they are working on a fix. But I think it could be good to gather some more data so that the FM community gets to know exactly how much this bug affects long term saves is and if there is anything we can do to manage the impact of it. I'm of course expecting SI to put out a patch for this in the following week so would be nice to have some data to compare that to as well.

Thanks a lot for helping out!

I'm not sure how long it will take, but I'll try to sim all leagues later tonight. I'll start with the one you uploaded and then we'll see how long that takes!

Do you want me to load ALL leagues or just the top league in every country? Also, do you want me to do a large database with nothing else loaded, or should I load all players from all continents as well? Sorry, haven't done many experiments with loading several leagues and holidaying lol.

Your save is holidaying now at least, I'll post the link here when I'm done!

This has already been explained a few times in here- this is the Beta phase, where users can get early access to try out the game and report issues so that they can be looked at.  A hotfix will only ever be released for a problem that stops the game from running, so no there is little likelihood of a hotfix.

Hello, the new update has made Steven Gerrard and his staff of Aston Villa removed from the club.

I mean I'm not sure Steven Gerrard being the manager of Aston Villa makes the game unable to run, but hey fair enough. Hopefully we will get a hotfix for the youth development soon as well.

Did you guys notice too that young players seem to develop in a weird and unrealistic way? For example strikers do not develop on the technical side at all, not even finishing, while gaining a lot of points in mental and physical. Completely unrealistic and I believe it is a bug

I saw someone on reddit that posted some screenshots from the future, and i noticed that too. At 32 years old  Endrick had 14 in finishing, 15 dribbling and and technique, while his mental attributes were 20 in anticipation, composure, decisions, leadership and off the ball. His natural fitness was at 15 so i don't think his technical attributes should drop that much. There were some regens that had the same kind of distribution, fairly low technical attributes but several mental ones at 20. I'll keep an eye out for my game, hopefully I'll get a couple of seasons done today and have some proof for myself
