Other Notable signings:
Leon King - Rangers -15m. At 18 already good enough to cover CB and DM.
Fausto Vera - Argentinos Jrs - 5.5m. Bought first season in the Prem, sits at the base of a diamond midfield or alongside Yates in a 4-2-3-1 against trickier opposition.
Evander - FC Midtjylland - 8.5m. Versatile midfielder usually competes with Carvalho in the 'hole' but can cover anywhere.
Yusuf Demir - SK Rapid Vienna - 29.5m. Another young wonderkid. First season shown glimpses of his potential, but steady rather than spectacular.
Patrick Roberts - Free transfer. More than just making up numbers, just scored a free kick against previous paymasters Man City to knock them out of the League Cup 1/4 final.
Sold (to fund above):
Jenkinson - 5m to Wednesday (he was superb in the Championship)
Mbe Soh - 9m to Everton - had handed in a transfer request.
Kaylon Hinds (signed on a free whilst in championship) 12m to Ulsan (who?)
Toby Figs - 11.75m to Basel
Nuno Da Costa - 3.6m to Qarabag
First Season sales were about reducing wages and creating squad space:
Hefele - 125k QPR
Darikwa - 185k Birmingham
Ameobi - 325k Swansea (sad, but he wasn't performing)
Jordan Smith - 91k Norwich
Ioannou - 300k Limassol
Bong - 425k Sporting KC
Bachirou - 700k Malmo
Arter - 3m Qarabag
Blackett - 950k Bristol City

I'm at the beginning of January 2023, lying 2nd behind Liverpool.
The following are my best performing players.
Already at the club:
Carvalho - 11 assists played as either an inside forward/winger or no.10 behind the striker(s)
Joe Worrall - club captain. 2 England caps (including the World Cup final) 7.38 average
Ryan Yates - Mainly used as a sub box to box to put pressure on tired midfields.
New Signings:
Stephy Mavidi - 21 goals in all competitions
Eddie Nketiak - 14 goals, 10 assists.
Anel Ahmedhodzic - The first of two players returning home. 7.26 over the season so far.
Matty Cash - Villa relegated so I brought him back less than he was sold for. Result!
Moussa Wague - on loan. Shares right back duties with Cash.

Whatever you do, keep hold of Worrall. In my save he's just played in the World Cup final for England.

Couldn't resist, bought Haaland for £20m, he wants to use the club as a stepping stone though.
IN - £5-5m Felix Eboa Eboa (CB/DM) want to train him as DLP
- £20m Erling Haaland (wherever he wants!)
- £2.5m Ruben Sobrino (TM)
- £1.7m Ivan Mandic (GK)
IN on loan, Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal, Carles Alena from Barcelona and Mason Greenwood from Man Utd
OUT
Will Swan sold to Brighton for £13m as their offer exceeded the valuation (not my choice).
Sambo Sow to Jeonbuk £3.6m (who?)
Zac Clough £2.5 Watford
And a few more out for pennies.

First season (Beta), finished first with a record number of points. Grabban stayed fit all season, returning 22 goals, and Rafa Mir was an excellent understudy, scoring 12 from the bench, Clough barely featured for me as I used R. Brewster on loan from Liverpool and Swan as a pressing forwards.
Silva formed a partnership with Yates in the middle that dominated most teams, with fullbacks Robinson, and Ribeiro sharing wing back roles on the left and cash and making the right side his own. Bostock was a goal machine playing behind Grabban, but refused a permanent contraction January so was dropped from that point on.
Carvhalho was mostly underwhelming, but his bad form allowed me to blood Brennan and Mighten both of whom proved able understudies.
With so many great Championship centre-backs I played 3 at the back away from home and against rivals. Dawson demanded a loan move almost immediately and nothing I said changed his mind.
GRABBAN - Dlf att
CARV/BOSTOCK - Ap att LOLLEY -If Att
YATES - Car sup SILVA - bbm su
ROBO/RIBEIRO Wb -Au CASH/JENKS Cwb - sup
TOBY FIGS Cb - bp CHEMA Cb - Cov WORRAL Cb - bp
SAMBA Gk -Def
Players I was looking forward to having, but sadly disappointed: Ameobi, Sow, Somedo, Adomha.
Sold: Benalouane (1.1m), Yacob (1.1m), Pantilimon (750k)
Against teams I was expected to do well against I play 4-4-2 with a pressing forward alongside Grabban as a Target Man, with balls over the top. The high press enabled counterattacking football, and a good number of interceptions and tackles in dangerous areas.
I'm yet to start preseason, and don't yet know how much I'll be able to reinforce with a budget of £30m. I will need an eventual Grabban replacement and to fill the gaps left by the departure of the laonees. I also don't want a massive squad because of not wanting to bar the way for the youth prospects
