[FM20] Dominican Republic Football Pyramid - 4 levels (Fantasy Rules)

Recommended Posts

My first go in editing nations, and I do of my own.  I create this file to compete with other nations of the Caribbean and North American zone.  So, four levels of 16 teams.  One national cup, and three divisional cups. All original competitions were totally erased, and these were created from scratch.  Only with basic rules.  I'm still working with the financial side of the DB, if you think is unrealistic, remember this is a 'fantasy' DB, there are several real ones, IIRC @Tonao's megapack has one with the real rules competition :D.

Teams:

The total was increased to 64.  From 37 originals, 27 were created.  4 reserves teams (Cibao Atlético, Jarabacoa B, La Vega Atlético and Universidad O&M B) were deleted from the database.  The 27 created teams are fictitious, they don't exist, or are just names from sport clubs around the country.  All created teams were given the following status:

  • Attendance: 100
  • Minimum Attendance: 100
  • Maximum Attendance: 250
  • The other facilities: 0
  • Each team has their home and away kits (including GKs), and mostly no repetition (between the creates one), save for maybe some colors.
  • Team logos for the original database teams can be found in several kits in the web, I downloaded one for FM17 (for a bunch of teams) and worked fine, if you can't find all, in https://sortitoutsi.net/ you can find updated and more stylized logos (have to download them one by one).

Cities:

There were 18 cities in the database, but to give some more flavor, there were added 13 more.  The teams were reassigned, the originals in their closest area, if they weren't.  The created ones as per the population of the city.  Each city was assigned at least 1 team. Down the list of the new cities.

  • Metropolitan zone: Santo Domingo Norte (with 7 teams), Santo Domingo Este (6 teams), and Santo Domingo Oeste (3 teams).
  • East zone: Higuey (1 team)
  • North zone: Nagua, Bonao, Monte Cristi and Cotui (1 team each)
  • South zone: Azua, Neyba, Barahona, Bani (1 team each), and San Juan de la Maguana (2 teams)

Weather:

Since there weren't a dedicated weather for the country, as most of the cities had "Jamaica (both)", and Martinique, there were decided to create Dominican's own weather system, to mimic somehow the microweather of our island.  8 new weather: Punta Cana, Zona Este, Zona Metropolitana, Zona Sur, Sur Profundo (the hottest), Cibao Central (the rainy) , Cibao Montañoso (the colder), and Zona Norte (those in the north coast).

Stadiums:

No stadium were created, but placed mostly in their real life location, as the 'Estadio de Fútbol Panamericano Parque del Este', was placed in Santo Domingo Este, etc.  The new teams in cities without stadium were placed temporally in the nearest stadium, but if it is too far, they will start construction their own stadium (in the test only five teams began construction of 1,300 capacity).

The top flight level, with the best 16 teams of the nation competing for the highest prize, to be crowned as the Dominican Champion, and have a place in the CONCACAF international competitions (You have to add the files that creates these international competitions, works very well with almost all of them, including the CONCACAF-COMENBOL MERGER of @Carlito85.  There's no restriction on foreigners, as this is the top flight.

  • Top 16 teams according to their reputation in the original database.
  • Competition starts April 14th.
  • Competition ends December 10th.
  • 3 players trained at club.
  • Match squad with no more than 5 loan players.
  • Maximum team size of 35.
  • Gets to play in the 'Copa Independencia' (main cup) in the third round, and in 'Copa Juan Pablo Duarte' (1st and 2nd level divisional cup) in the second and third round (depending team's reputation or league position).

Campeonato Dominicano de Fútbol (Second Level)

In the second level start the restrictions, like a foreigner rule, but a lesser one.  In the positive, the team size is increased, since this team s play in one more cup than the 1st level's teams.

  • Competition start April 6th.
  • Competition end December 17th (including  playoff).

Almost the similar rules than the previous level, just that reduced the foreigners.

Segunda Division de Futbol Dominicano (Fourth Level)

This is the lower division, intended to be a development level, as there is a non-foreigner rule, but a higher team size (I wanted to get rid of the registration, but seemed that with basic rule is not possible).
