  • Hidden Attributes (like Current Ability and Potential Ability) Not Visible

    I have played FM23 and now playing FM24. Played on the same system. Only difference in interface is that FM23 was purchased through Steam and FM24 was purchased through Epic Games.

    In FM23, I could view the Hidden Attributes of Players like Potential Ability and Current Ability. In FM24, despite racking my brain at it for weeks on end, I cannot seem to figure out how to access the same.

    I have tried every way possible, even by keeping "Disable Player Attribute Masking" ticked in one save, and unticked in another save. End result is the same. Cannot access the hidden attributes in both.

    Logically, keeping "Disable Player Attribute Masking" as "ticked" would mean that the masking feature is "disabled" in the save, and therefore the hidden attributes can be viewed. The information icon says something else and ends with "if you wish to simply display all information and attributes from the off, leave this option unticked" which does not make logical sense to me, because if "Disable XYZ Option" is unticked, it basically means that said XYZ Option should be enabled, in which case the masking feature will therefore be enabled, and the hidden attributes will not be visible.

    Just checked what the "Disable Player Attribute Masking" option said on FM23 on Steam... shocking that the same thing is given in totally opposite manners in both games (FM23 on Steam vs. FM24 on Epic Games).

    Seriously, this kind of oversight does not behove the standards of Sports Interactive.

    There is no option to see hidden attributes, such as consistency, professionalism, PA, CA within the game set-up. 

    You aren't supposed to have access to these through normal gameplay.

    It is a setting that governs the visibility of player attributes that are visible on profiles. The "masking" in this sense is whether or not you can see all the attributes in the technical/physical/mental categories and their 1-20 scores or if these attributes are masked and through scouting or acquisition of knowledge about players this effect is lessened and eventually removed.

    Understood, but in that case why was it available on FM23 - and if so, has this feature been specifically removed?

    CA/PA have never been a part of the attribute masking option. There are options like customised skins/graphics which may show information not typically available.
