Giarc Ronyag
what are the benefits, i could be tempted to swtich to beta, but having an operating system in beta version puts me off?

Giarc Ronyag
I've downloaded the upgrade checker to test my laptop to see if its worth switching, i think i might give win7 a go though, cheers.
TontonZola
+1 for Windows 7, MS have got their act together on this one. Also running '09 with no issues at all and find it more compatible than Vista with my other games.
Giarc Ronyag
is it still possible to download the beta version?
DivineOne
I don't think so. I even believe Windows 7 is already released for businesses.

Negatrev
FM09 is indeed running on windows 7 Windows 7 definitely boots faster. Only took 35 minutes to upgrade my Vista rig too. I really like the Mac style Task Bar too.
Giarc Ronyag
does it play fm faster on windows 7?
Arijit
does it play fm faster on windows 7? For that you need a faster processor and lots of RAM. OS doesn't matter much. I had XP before (with a okay-ish processor and 2GB RAM) and now I've vista (C2Duo 3GHZ + 4 GB RAM) and now FM09 is running faster, smoother than XP. Arijit
come on - Even I know XP was better than Vista for gaming purpose. But servicepack2 made Vista much more stable now. I really don't find much to complain about it.
Stevenhp1987
FM09 works fine on the final Windows 7 here (it's been available over MSDN for quite some time now...)
CrashOverride
The RTM has been out for about a month and Im sure Sega/SI will have access to this to ensure FM10 runs ok. As 7 is basically a facelift of Vista with all the bad bits taken out Im sure there is nothing to worry about. There is a large beta testing team and Im sure some of them will have Win 7 running FM fine

da baws
I have absolutely the same problem as Jamie5jw... I'm using windows 7 ultimate 64-bit, and when I mount the dvd the autorun doesn't work, I managed to install the game , but when I try to start it it says "The program can't start because d3dx9_41.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." I have directx 11, can this be the problem ? the game was working perfectly fine on windows xp, but since I installed windows 7 half of my programs and games don't work...crap. mackemforever
im sorry but why are you mounting the DVD? It sounds to me like he has downloaded an illegal copy of the game and he means that when he mounts the .iso file it won't autorun. If this is the case then I would like to stop being a complete scumbag and to go and buy the game.
