Welcome to the 2010 thread of

Crystal Palace F.C.

Crystal Palace Football Club is an English professional football club based in South Norwood, London. The team plays its home matches at Selhurst Park, where it has been based since 1924. The club is competing in the second tier of English Football, The Championship for the 2009-2010 season.

A Brief History of Crystal Palace F.C.

Crystal Palace was formed in 1905 by workers at The Crystal Palace. They did not reach the top division of English Football until 1969-70, and did not reach a major final until 1990. Relegated from the top division in 1973 and once again in the following season leaving the club playing in the third tier of English football for the 1974-75 season, before being promoted back to the top level by 1979-80.

Crystal Palace's most recent successful period began in 1988-89, when the club finished third in the Second Division and were promoted to the First Division. Reaching the 1990 FA Cup Final only to lose the replay against Manchester United and finishing 3rd in the First Division in 1990-91. Palace were a founding member of the FA Premier League (1992-93) but were relegated that season. Since then Palace have been relegated from and promoted to the FA Premier League on a number of occasions, their most recent relegation from the top flight was in the 2004-05 season. This is all despite the club being almost bankrupt in July 2000.

Squad Report

Goalkeepers

As a team overall Crystal Palace need a lot of improvement but luckily GKs are an area which isn't needed to be rectified immediately. Your number one should be Speroni, he is a decent shot-stopper and will be good at Championship level for a few more years with Flahavan as a decent back up. For the long term you'll need a better back up than Flahavan and a younger keeper to replace Speroni as you have no young keepers in the reserves.

Best for Position - Julian Speroni

Youth Prospect - N/A

Ideal Targets - Henk Timmer (Free), Asmir Begovic (Loan), German Lux (Loan)

Rightbacks

You start with 3 right backs but most likely Brighton come in with an offer for Danny Butterfield and your chairman accepts it so you'll be down to 2.

Nathanial Clyne has good enough stats for back-up and with him only being 18 he's deffinatey one for the future, Johannes Ertl is good enough to keep his place but id recommend looking around for a better RB and loaning Clyne out.

If you do manage to keep Butterfield then Id focus on improving other areas of the team.

Best for Position -Johannes Ertl

Youth Prospect - Nathanial Clyne

Ideal Targets - Lauren (Free), Rafael (Loan), Javan Vidal (Loan)

Leftbacks

Your only leftback is Lee Hills who is a good prospect but not really at championship level so an older more experienced leftback would be welcome to go straight into the first team and tutor Hills. Clint Hill can fill in when needed but signing another quality LB is a priority.

Best for Position - Lee Hills

Youth Prospect - Lee Hills

Ideal Targets - David Castedo (Free), Jeremy Helan (Loan), Michael Ball (Free)

Centrebacks

You have a decent choice of centrebacks at the club with Clint Hill, Claude Davis and Jose Fonte being great players. Also Fonte is deffinately your best player at the club and you should hold on to him. Matt Lawerence and Paddy McCarthy are ok for back-up but it would be best too sell them both and bring one solid defender to make your back line more solid.

Best for Position - Jose Fonte

Youth Prospect - N/A

Ideal Targets - Sol Campbell (Free), Glauber (Free), Jorge Andrae (Free)

Right Midfield

Your first signing at Palace should be a Right midfielder in my opinion. The closest you have to a natural RM is 18 year old Kieran Djilali who looks a good prospect but is no where near the standard required. Sean Scannell, Darren Ambrose, Victor Moses and Neil Danns can all fill in but a RM who has pace and can cross is a necessity.

Best for Position - Victor Moses

Youth Prospect - Kieran Djilali

Ideal Targets - Vladimir Weiss (Loan), Rohan Ricketts (Free)

Left Midfield

Ditto^^Snap^^. Left midfield is as in dire need of a solid player as right midfield, a creative flairy winger wouldnt go a miss either here as you only natural LM is Ryan Smith who while being fairly fast is just that, fast his other stats arent up to scratch and he doesn't look like he'll improve at all. So sell him and find 2 decent LMs, or more realisticly as you have no funds and a tight wage bill sign one and use Darren Ambrose, Victor Moses or Kieran Djilali as back-up.

Best for Position - Darren Ambrose

Youth Prospect - Victor Moses

Ideal Targets - Kieran Gibbs (Loan), Daniel Jones (Loan), Daniel Sturridge (Loan)

Centre Midfield

For Defensive midfield you have the experienced Shaun Derry who's decent enough for the first season and Alassane N'Diaye as a promising back-up. Neil Danns, Darren Ambrose and Nick Carle make up the rest of your midfield with Danns as your only natural MC with Ambrose and Carle being AMCs. Them 5 should be a decent selection of Midfielders though you may want to have a look for a loanee or free agent to fill a specialised role as none of the latters stats really stand out.

Best for Position - Neil Danns

Youth Prospect - Alassane N'Diaye

Ideal Targets - Mark Randall (Loan), Dietmar Hamanm (Free), John Bostock (Loan), Nacer Barazite (Loan), Jack Wilshire (Loan)

Strikers

You have a decent selection of strikers in your squad with Fred Sears on loan from West Ham, fan favourite Victor Moses, Alan Lee, Sean Scannel and Stern Jon. All of them are decent championship strikers but none are really prolific or are match winners. Id advise pairing Lee and Sears together as their playing styles compliment each other. Try to get a small pacier forward if you are unhappy with the current choices.

Scannel and Moses aren't really first team standard yet and in my game I loaned Scannel out and use Moses sparingly.

Best for Position - Fred Sears

Youth Prospect - Victor Moses, Sean Scannel

Ideal Targets - Henri Camara (Free), Mark Viduka (Free), Federico Macheda (Loan)

Suggested Tactics

I went for a simple 4-4-2 and its working well so far :D

Ignore what players are there as yours will potentially be different.

Formation 4-4-2

4032148617_28dd78a889.jpg

Team Instructions

4032901666_ed1d222754.jpg

Player Roles

Goalkeeper

Goalkeeper/Defend

Pretty simple here, all i want is for my keeper to be just that. Save shots then distribute the ball out.

I have his go Defender Collect to either fullback to try and retain posession.

Fullbacks

Fullback/Support

I play my wide midfielders further up almost so its important to get the fullbacks involved but still retain a defensive role at heart.

Defender Centre 1

Central Defender/Defend

Like Gk not really specialised much just wanting some solid defending.

Defender Centre 2

Central Defender/Cover

Use a fast, agressive defender here to drop back a little from your other defender to stop anyone who happens to break through.

Left & Right Midfielder

Winger/Attack.

Sometime depending on who I choose to play I'll have RM as Winger/Support.

Since my fullbacks play further up I push my wingers further up to link up balls the the attack. They get most of the assists and some goals.

Centre Midfield 1

Ball winning Midfielder/Support

I use my best DMC here as his stats fill the criteria needed. He wins most balls trying to get through the midfield holds off attackers then passes to his more creative team mates.

Centre Midfield 2

Advanced Playmaker/Support

Here to compliment my ball winning midfielder is his more creative pal, needing similar stats but with more focus on creativity. He usually gets balls from my other CM and plays them onto the Strikers or Wingers.

Striker 1

Poacher/Attack

A pacey player with good finishing and off the ball, just need to get in the right place at the right time and bang in the goals from the chances created by the players behind him or his strike partner.

I sometimes play Trequartista/Attack here with one player who excels at it.

Striker 2

Advanced Forward/Attack

Have my best all round forward here to play balls onto the poacher, link up between the attack and midfield or as mine mostly does score fantastic goals that he creates himself.

Well I'm finished, thanks for reading and good luck with managing Crystal Palace, please share your progress and follow mine.

Hey, added them :).

Also here's how my Eagles game's going so far.

First of all got rid of loads of dead wood that wasn't going to get used in my 1/2 a season, although admittedly some players sold were to ease up space on the wage budget to let me sign more class.

Frees

Brought in a new RB and LB to be first choice, both are fairly experienced (Or aged) so they tutor my promising back-ups.

Sol Campbell as my first choice DC to pair with Jose Fonte.

Henk Timmer as my No. 1, regretably having to use Speroni as back-up.

And Henri Camara as my star forward with 10 goals in 19 games.

Loans

Also got Vladimir Weiss, Daniel Jones and Damien Plessis on loan.

Jones has become 1st choice LM and Weiss rotates with Darren Ambrose depending on who's playing best. Plessis' was going to be back-up for my midfield but my coaches rated him better than most them and he got some games though his loans finished im considering purchasing him for 400k, won't turn into anything world class but he will be useful for a few seasons and for 400k I reckon he'll make me a profit when its time to offload him.

4032940662_e59220692b.jpg

4032901904_e375821465.jpg

I started ok in the first few games ubeaten in the first 4 but only winning one.

I then went six games without a win placing me in near the relegation zone.

But then form started picking up and I went on a 4 game winning spree and a few draws to take me to the top half. I then lost one game only to go on to win 6 on the trot to take me to 3rd.

I don't expect to win automatic promotion as I know I haven't enough depth, although I've won my previous games with such style that im hoping it can continue.

Top 6 is my aim tbh.

4032187979_820c0d4cd6.jpg

Star players for me so far have been;

Henri Camara - Good forward contributing to alot of team goals and getting himself some

Victor Moses - Started as back-up but then about ten games in he became a monster super sub scoring 6 in 6 sub appearences

Sol Campbell - A little on the slow side but he is still an excellent defender

Daniel Jones - Great winger, didnt look to have much about himself when i first loaned him but he's proved me wrong.

Darren Ambrose - Wasnt sure where to play him as I wasn't playing an AMC and my other midfield positions were filled but he's playing well in the RM role and taken it from loanee Vladimir Weiss who started solid but gradually has been slipping.

Im at the start of December now so the demo's going to end soon, ill do another report like this at the end.

Thanks for reading.

Hey

The demo finished about a week into January, played 2 more league games and 1 carling cup game since my last save. Won them all but still stayed firmly at 3rd. Cant wait for the full game and the chance to promote Palace, usually i would just delete my demo game but im considering taking this one further because of the good start iv had.

Did you always play with the tactic you've put in the first post or did you change it for away games? The reason i'm asking is, whenever i tried to play attacking i would just be ripped to shreads. Thanks

Link to post

I kept the same formation but i would sometimes change little things like using a faster defender when they'e trying to counter. Or Chaning from attacking to contain or control when facing stronger teams.

Edit- Actually for my first 6 games or so i used control but i wasnt winning enough and we were creating chances but not putting them away so i switched to attack which worked a treat.

I reckon that Crystal Palace's youth academy rating should be higher. Look at the numerous products of this academy over the past 10 years.

Yeah deffinately, to name a few Ian Wright, Ben Watson, Gareth Southgate, and ofc our new possible stars Sean Scannel and Victor Moses.

Get henri camara. He's a must!!!! also glauber a Dc who used to play for man city. I suggest offload all the rubbish players and purchase anthony annan and Bruno Zuculini. These players are highly rated on the good players guide on the forum. Check them out. Lauren the former arsenal fullback and henk timmer he's a 37 yrs old goalkeeper. I hope that helps.

cheers mate, what players do you rekon i should sell?

I love my palace but they have some crap players like:-

D butterfield replace with lauren

P Mccarthy - £900,000

R Smith - 0 - £100,000

Clint hill - £400,000 - 700,000

D Flavagan - £250,000 - £500,000

K Djiarri - £100,000

Now, not only willl you get money for these players but your wage bugdet will come down alot

also, if you're playing 4-4-2 purchase rohan ricketts on a free. He's quite good as well. I hope that helps

Starting out as crystal palace now ive brought the full version of the game. But im finding it hard as they have no money and not much wage room.

Basically, is there any quality players I can get on free's? or loans?

cheers

Take a look at my OP mate all my transfers were either frees or loans, also id unload any staff that are earning too much and any awful physios/scouts then sign better ones for less on frees.

I can't start my Benfica save because of an edited DB crashing issue, so I'm going to start a Crystal Palace save. I tried them in the demo and it was fun. Jose Fonte is a nice player to have since he was formerly owned by Benfica :)

In the demo I signed Smolarek to partner Sears and it worked well, so I'll probably repeat that in the new save.

Just been promoted as crystal palace in my first season!!! via the play off final!!

Just wondering who to buy now to stay in the premier league? I have 14m to spend. wouldnt mind a majority english team, but not worried if its too hard.

Also going to let some of the backroom staff contracts run out and bring in some new scouts, physio's, coaches and assistant, if anyone knows any good ones??

cheers

I havent got round to buying the game yet as the funds arent there :thdn: so i dont know what players would be appropriate for your game but the first thing I do after promotion is look at the teams that got relegated to the championship and get their players for cheaper. Usually their best players are unhappy or wish to be transferlisted and are of prem quality.

I got Willy Topp on a free and he scored a hat-trick on his full debut. Your assman will say he's good for League 1, but I beg to differ. He's nippy, young, and I reckon even just as backup you could do a lot, lot worse. In fact, Sears lost his starting place to Topp in my save - oh yes, and he only asks for a pittance in salaries.

addicted to my save atm

started with crewe got promoted winning league 2

wigan got relegated to the championship and sitting in 17th place and 5 games in offered me the job. jumped ship despite being 4th with crewe after a good start.

managed to finish mid table but managing wigan was hard as ****... too many old players, people wanted to leave and morale always low as ****. set my seaon objectives to gain promotion however again wigans inconsistancy was killing me.... id win one game then lose the next etc also wigan became financially insecure meaning i hardly got any money to buy.

pressure was on and towards the end of november i got the sack lying 13th in the league

2 days later however i said i was interested in the palace job as the managers position was precarious and got the job.

looked at the squad and it was full of dead wood but some good youngsters such as wjneldum (sp) and Moses also palace were noted as RICH so i accepted

got 12 million to spend and spent it wisely in jan bringing in players like becks, ananidze, matic and this regen i had at wigan..... amazing stats for a 15 year old..... 17 acc 17 pace 16 dribbling 16 finishing 16 heading although his mental stats are a little rough. potential to be leading prem striker.

finished on a 15 match unbeaten run to get 2nd place and promotion. James Vaughn already at the club was an absolute beast with 40 odd goals for the season.

start of the season got given 49 million by the chairman for top half finish was hoping for 20 million

looked at palaces history and realised they got taken over in the first season and the chairman is an italian tycoon who keeps pumping money in the club.

fiddled with the budget adjustments and managed to get the kitty to 97million

brought in akinfeev for 31mill

owen hargreaves for 1.8mill

Steven Taylor for 12mill

regen brazilian cb for 20mil..... touted as next lucio and already got amazing stats

steven defour for 20mill

pastore on loan

wjneldum on loan

and two more regens for 7mill who also look class and can play right away.

played first game of the season against scousers and finished 1-1 with last minute strike form my regen.

disaster strikes though as a few days later my game gets a crash dump and last time i saved was before the liverpool game.... gutted. prob end up getting thrashed now.

Nightmare about your game crashing aswell.

Started a Palace save a few days ago... had the usual stories about Dominic Jordan taking over the club from within. Thankfully this feel through and in Februsry we were taken over by... an Italian tycoon :)

Got promoted first season, upon arrival in the premiership was told that minimum finish in the league is top half. Not the best because obviously the squad was not up to that at all, but with budget adjustments I have managed to spend almost £80 million on new signings :D What was also weird was that just because the club is now owned by a billionaire, all of a sudden amazing players want to join, albeit for extoritonate wages. Rooney was the highest valued player that wanted to come to me in the summer! :o

Started the season uncomfortably with speculation of a takeover looming by a new board who would sack me if the takeover was completed as well as Freddie Sears breaking a leg in my first friendly meaning I had to terminate his loan! I desperately tried to raise some funds by flogging dead wood like Butterfield, Ertl and Lawrence but still didn't manage to get anywhere near enough to sign anyone decent so decided to look for good frees and loans. This turned out to be a great strategy and with a few key weaknesses addressed I got off to a very good start to the season with Camara forming a deadly partnership with Stern John and Victor Moses causing havoc on the Left Wing. The takeover eventually happened in October and the new board kept me on due to our encouraging league position of 5th, giving me an £8m transfer kitty to boot. Brought some quality in in January, including Salvatore Bruno who'd been banging them in at Modena and continued to do so at Palace scoring 15 in 22 league appearances. This combined with Camara's free scoring and a new look midfield lead by Thomas Kristensen managed to secure me 2nd place by 1 point on the last day of the season meaning i didn't have to face the lottery of the play offs which made me and the board very happy ;)

In return for a promise that I'd avoid relegation, the board gave me a tidy £24m to spend and through a combination of budget adjustments, shrewd transfers (McCarthy to newcastle £4.5m lol!) and a few 48 monthly installment based deals i managed to consruct a squad I think are capable of exceeding their expectations. Villa somehow managing to finish 14th the previous year meaning they had a few disgruntled players and I somehow managed to lure Sidwell and Davies (both first team regulars the previous season) to Selhurst Park for reasonable fee's along with unsettled Martin Petrov and Joe Hart from City and an ageing but 5-Star Landon Donovan. I started the season expecting to get a few pastings while my team gelled but after an opening day defeat to the Gooners (a respectable 2-0) I've gone on a 5 game winning streak upsetting Fulham, WBA, Blackburn, Newcastle and West Ham, propelling my mighty Eagles to the heady heights of 3rd! Landon Donovan has 7 in 6 and looks like he could be the goal machine i need, the CB pairing of Berra and Davies looks very promising and my new wingers are all playing well with Mounier looking like a bargain at £4m! A top ten finish would be a massive achievement but I reckon it can be done......

I'll keep you posted

From the existing squad I've used Jose Fonte, Victor Moses, Sean Scannell, Nathanial Clyne, Patrick McCarthy and Darren Ambrose in the Prem and none have looked too far out of their depth.

The only ones out of those I intend to use regularly are Moses and Clyne though if that helps.

Landon Donovan has been inspirational for me so far as has Martin Petrov who you may be able to pick up for under £2m, Lucas Neill for free is a no-brainer too it he's available and I've also toyed with the idea of bringing Riquelme in on a free too although his wages are very high. I'd also look at who went down and plunder any talent from them.

alright lads,

only recently brought this and, as always, my first save is with Palace. doing ok so far - 4th after about 20 games.

my question is - how did the club takeover go for you lot? i keep getting news items about how there are talks for Dominic Jordan to takeover but they keep stalling. Is this normal? will he eventually take over and therefore i will still have £0 transfer budget (let alone still the manager!)? I wonder how it unfolded in Ziotree's game where an Italian tycoon took over...

Quick question. Started a new game with Palace and there is a lot of interest in Speroni who is rated at 1.3m, aged 30 and doesn't seem overly happy. Do you reckon it's worth selling him? Thing is, I love Speroni, and he is a superb keeper...

Update on my game lads

im in the year 2015 season 2014/2015

still addicted to the save and only thing that keeps me going at uni as the digital switchover has happened in manchester and therefore my TV doesnt work anymore lol.

to carry on where i left off i managed to finish in 5th positon in the prem (season2012/2013) after getting promoted and somehow manage to win the carling cup on pens.

akinfeev was a beast along with Taylor, pastore(loan) defour and my regens (defender fabio junior) (Teo serres striker will become best striker in the game I think) (Lucinio Texiera Defensive mid amazing stats)

nathaniel clyne also had a very good prem season and interest in him was high and also James Vaughn who i didnt sign but was already at the club was an absolute beast he netted 18 goals in the prem that season and loads more in other competitions.

managed to recruit some money with the sale of victor moses for 4.3 to boro as i think I had developed him as much as i could and also the sale of Luke Wilkshire for 4million to reading.

despite the sales due to my big spending the club was in the red luckily my sugar daddy tycoon kept pumping money in the club as I spent a cool 100 million that season and kept my bank balance extremely healthy and back up to 30million although he wouldnt give me anymore for transfers that season.

at the end of the season Speroni, Fonte, zinko, ross wallace and other young players such as nathan pinney were sold on or released on frees as i was looking at bigger and better things now.

at the start of season 2013/2014 I decided to go for it and set my season expectations to title challenge.

with a few adjustments i managed to get 80 million to spend and had a few targets in mind.

with the majority of squad players gone and sold (18 players were let go/sold) I had a really small squad so I had to spend the 80 million wisely and not blow a chunk of it on 1 or 2 players.

my main priorities were my left and right backs as they are integeral part of my tactics and the way i play as I play a very narrow formation. they had to be quick and be able to put in a good cross.

really wanted vargas from fiorentina however he didnt want to come and would have cost upwards of 40 million.

managed to get in Alexander Korolov from lazio for 13.5million to play left back

and Daniel Opare from Feyenoord for 13million to be my first choice right back

Im sure you all know opare.... not amazing technically but lightning quick which is a trait i look for in all my players as you will see with some of my signings in the seasons coming.

with the signing of opare and interest high in young Clyne i decided to let him go and managed to do a deal with aston villa for Fabian Delph

clyne plus 10million netted me delph who had all the attributes i wanted in a midfielder eg quick and can dribble and can pass. also him being english helped me alot with my home grown status. total transfer must have been 20 million as they wanted 25million cash for delph at first so really i got at least 10 million for clyne not bad going although i was sad to see him go as he was outstanding since i became palace boss.

manged to sign Alipio from real madrid on a free. Dont think he is a regen as he has career history from 2006. was in 2 minds whether to sign him as he didnt have the "pace" i always look for however his technical stats were just amazing and i needed a back up striker plus he was young....21 years old.

My big outlay was going to be between David Silva, Coutinho and Dzagoev.

got 35 mill accepted for Silva and coutinho but villareal wanted 45/50 mill for dzagoev

my first choice was dzagoev as he looked the more allround of the two as i wanted the player to be able play as an attacking midfielder and a midfielder and dzagoev had 18 tackling along with his other amazing stats however 50million was too much and couldnt justify spending that much

almost pulled the trigger on silva... got bid and terms agreed however after much deliberation i pulled out due to the fact i didnt think he would make a good center mid and he was getting on a bit.

that meant i signed coutinho for 35 mill. young amazing stats already and chance to grow even better.

manged to get pastore again on loan and signed 2 regens for combined 5.5mill (a defender and 16 year old striker labelled the next christian vieri :p)

my last piece of business was to get vanden borre on loan as he can play anywhere along the back.

managed to win the carling cup for a second time (this time not on pens) and astonishingly finish 2nd in the prem and got to the final of Euro cup although I got beat by Leverkusen.

Utd were dreadful Finshed something like 13th along with arsenal and liverpool.

unfortunately defour wanted a transfer stating he thought he took palace as for as he could. he was club captain and i agreed to his transfer request. i wanted 20mill minimum however i was only getting bids of 10million so i decided ill let him rot in the reserves. I offered him again to clubs in jan and most i got was 16.25 bid from porto so i bit the bullet.

again akinfeev was a rock and teo serres, texiera, pastore and vaughn were the other stars

coutinho started slowly but after january became hot and finished with palace's recored for number of assists with 15

was really tempted to jump ship and apply for the utd job and turn the club around as its the team i support in real life however after declaring interest they i got the message that i wouldnt even be considered

for 2014/2015 where i am currently i put title challenge again as my season expectations.

got 90million and with nothing major needed to do to the team i decided to go big in the market for that player to take me to the title.

first up i got Jack rodwell from utd for 28million. i needed an english player to help with my home grown status now i was in the champs league and his versatility could help the team as he can play def centre, midfielder centre and defsive mid.

next i went for the one and only Sergio Aguero!!!!

got a bid accepted for 55million and wages agreed at 80,000 a week. my highest earner and recored transfer but surely he would be worth it?

with my transfer budget more or less gone i got jack cork on loan from milan as backup and again loaned mr Pastore from palermo..... maybe its time i signed the lad lol.

halfway through the season noises were coming from the papers that my italian tycoon was ready to sell up:eek:

A consortium came in to try and buy the club lead by some english man called josh mitchell and it said due to links in portugal if he takes over he wanted mourinho as boss! WTF. I was worried to lose my job and all the hard work i put in building up palace with a little help from my italian friend.

I started to look at jobs i could go but there wasnt really anything big going. utd had stabalised themselves and arsenal had just got a new manager and i could never take over liverpool.

one moment it was on then the next the takeover was in danger of collapsing then the next it was on again.

a couple months went by and i was hoping the takeover would collapse and ill be still have a job. then on 28/11/2014 it was announced a consortium headed by josh mitchell had took over.

he said he would wait a few weeks before announcing his decision regarding me.

thankfully he said he would let me keep my job due to the overwhelming support i had.... prob just cos we were sitting pretty top of the league and doing well in the champs league.

Korolov dealt me a body blow by wanted a transfer and due to him hitting 30 years old i decided to grant him one despite him being a quality player. sold him in jan for 16.75 to udinese and picked up a regen from bayern from ghana called philemon haruna for 15million. Already good for the prem and potential to be world class.

im currently 1st in the prem with 33 games played and 9 points clear with a game in hand of man city who won the league last season.

aguero has been out of this world. the best 55million i ever spent. him and coutinho are electric with coutinho behind the front 2 as attacking midfielder.

this is aguero's current stats

48 apps (all competitions) 31 league app

45 goals (29 league goals)

25 assists

11 mom

this is coutinho's stats

51 apps

27 goals

17 assists

8 mom

rodwell's versatility has been a major asset as he has filled in at the back and in midfield, pastore had an amazing first half of the season so i decided to sign him permanently for 5mill although he has gone a bit cold since i signed him lol.

prob the most surprising player has been Alipio. his stats have improved immensely and he has elevated to first choice striker even ousting my wonderkid teo serres and james vaugh.

he now has 18 finishing

18 dribbling

18 first touch

18 heading

16 long shots

18 technique

19 off the ball

19 composure

18 anticipation

his pace has even improved to 14 pace 13 acceleration.

he has returned with a decent 22 goals in 43 apps

I still have high hopes for teo serres and he is still improving at a fantastic rate of knots and at 19 he will defo become one of the games best strikers.

also fabio junior has improved to be one of the best center backs in the game and still only 21. he has stats that would put a center mid to shame.

managed to get a regen midfielder whos coming in at the start of next season from napoli for 15 mill who is a carbon copy of texiera and will make the squad stronger.

got knocked out of the champs league at quarter finals against genoa however won the league cup for a third time in the row and in the final of the fa cup for the first time.

will keep u updated lads

maybe its time to take over my beloved utd

Not for that price mate, he's a solid keeper and would be good in the prem aswell. Unless you get a better offer i wouldnt sell, 3m at least would be when id start considering it.

Just started my season at Crystal Palace, im hoping this is going to be a long term save, in which will see me promoted to the Premiership, and on to bigger and better things :).

Released most of my staff, and brought in my ownnnn :)

Then, I sold a few players :

Matt Lawrence - 85k - Colchester

Alan Lee - 750k - Derby

Clint Hill - 675k - Sheffield United

Danny Butterfield - 275k - Huddersfield

This brought me in a total of 1.8million. Out of the 1.8miilion, I was given 1.1million, and I had freed 17k of my wage budget. With this, I went out and brought a left midfielder, which my assistant recommended me to do, in the name of, Barry Bannan from Aston Villa, he cost 1.3million, with the other 200k coming from me tweaking the wage budget :). I also brought in Jonathan Dos Santos from Barcelona on loan for the season, Marc Muniesa on a free from Barcelona and Koke on a free from Athletico Madrid. Really happy with my captures.

First 4 games, been a bit mixed.

Plymouth - League - 2-0 - John, Sears

Brighton - League Cup - 0-1 - My fans were rather angry with me over this result, leaving me out of the cup :(

Bristol City - League - 0-1 - yet again, another defeat, but fans were more understandable.

Ipswich - League - 3-1 - N'Diaye, Moses and Derry

My save is becoming a bit of a dream at the moment. We were on the end of a few bad results, which led to us sitting in mid table after the first few games. A problem occured, we wasn't scoring, so, whilst the loan window was open, I scoured many leagues to see who I could bring in, and well, what more can I say, David N'Gog from Liverpool for 3 months! OK, its not all that good, considering im paying £7,000 a week on his wages, although I do still have £6,000 left, but omg he is great? 10 games, 9 goals, 4 assists and 4 man of the matches, in a run, which has seen me catapult up to 2nd in the League, behind Ipswich Town(My hometown team :D).

However, im keeping my feet firmly on the ground, and if possible, in January, i will be trying to keep N'Gog on loan for the rest of the season. If so, I beleive we will finish in the top 6, which will be an amazing achievement :). But, we'll see what January brings.

Also, Scannell has been superb, along with Freddy Sears and Barry Bannan :).

Ill keep you all posted with how I get on with my save, hope you enjoy reading :).

Well, with jsut 2 games of the season left, we sit in 10th, however the league is so tight, if results go my way, I can still finish in 2nd! West Brom simply ran away with the league, they were unbelievable, and at the moment of typing, im losing 1-0 to them.

I got N'Gog and Wilshere on loan in January, and both have been superb, with Wilshere scoring 2 hat-tricks in his first 5 games.

Ill keep yoou updated with how the last 2 games go!
