Nobby_McDonald
2027/8 - Lincoln City (League One) It's like watching grass grow... Board: Stay clear of relegation Media: 20th Bookies: 40-1 Season tickets: 2708 (up 16) New kit sponsors: £81,110 per season for 6 years (down from £124,000 per season) In pre season I sign a two year contract extension to 2030 on £850 per week (up £225) We make a reasonable start, not the spectacular affair of last season, but solid enough. However, we are plagued by inconsistancy and come New Year we lie 17th. The whole season is mediocre and lacking in excitement and frizzles out. I would say it was an anti climax, but there was nothing to be climaxed. Nobby_McDonald
2028/9 - Lincoln City (League One) It's where I put on my best James May impression... Board: Safe mid table Media: 17th Bookies: 40-1 Season tickets: 2772 (up 64) A fantastic opening day sees us rip apart Wycombe and our fans are delighted at the 5-1 win. This form continues and we top the table after ten games, surprising the entire league including myself. Moving through the Autumn and this has the making of a dream season. As halfway hits, Lincoln are still top of the table. Then 2029 hits and it's like somebody has flicked a switch. We completely lose the ability to score goals and start to slip down. We pick back up in February to head back up only to drop off again in March. A playoff position is secured in the penultimate game with a 2-0 victory at Colchester. We've have gladly taken that in pre season. The playoffs again see us play Colchester. Two nervy looking teams play out two draws in front of capacity crowds, which brings along a penalty shootout... Nobby_McDonald
2030/1 - Lincoln City (League One) It's the one man team Board: Playoffs Media: 8th Bookies: 25-1 Season tickets: 2910 (no change) We put in some strong performances in the League Cup at the start of the season, including a 4-1 thumping at Championship side Swansea. However, the league sees a disappointing start. Things then pick up and we go on a long, unbeaten run. This tails off with a cup run and an injury to Martin Bradley for 2 months. When Bradley comes back, we pick back up again... only for failure for both us and Doncaster to win our final league game sees Coventry sneak the second promotion spot, someway behind Colchester. LEAGUE ONE In the playoffs we steamroller over my former team Northampton, beating them 3-0 in both legs before getting demolished in the first half of the final, eventually losing 5-2 to Doncaster.
