Kifty
do any clubs play a young squad for cup matches
swisso
I've never seen it happen. I've played countless "dead rubber" games where the result is meaningless. I played Barcelona in the CL Group Stages; they were guarenteed 1st and i was guarenteed 2nd, but Messi et al still played a full 90mins. I'm not sure the game has the ability to plan ahead and rest players, at least i haven't seen it yet.

swisso
I play reserves or kids yeah. I try to plan 2-3 games ahead when using my players. If anyone's on a yellow card away from a ban, i'll rest them for 1-2 games and save them for a big game coming up. Likewise, if i've won the League with 3-4 games to go, i'll try out a few kids/reserves and some new formations and have a play around.
Jops14
if they are a division below me i always play my best youngsters. I make sure my team is still good enough to win though
Ty
Alot of the squads play young squads in the Carling Cup (Prem teams) and sometimes even in the FA Cup, not sure they should be though in the 4th round
