bigguk
I can see the FA cup semi final going into extra time with untied wining by the odd goal, while this is happening Chelsea would have beat Spurs closing the gap at the top of the league. Come Wednesday a tied Arsenal team can only draw 2 -2 with Chelsea.

Bouncerboy13
You mean tired Arsenal team. Also the other side is they would be in the final of the FA Cup and the Semis of the ECL but yes 5 points clear with a game in hand

Father Senegal
Thanks for that. btw if Chelsea beat Spurs the gap will be 4 points not 5, which will no doubt have you and the rest of the Spurs fans dribbling in excitement that Arsenal might not win anything. Dangerous Dave
This could happen, so I don't think it's a truly outrageous comment from mr gay uk. Arsenal haven't been on top form for the past 5 or so matches and have been digging out results, so it's not beyond the realm to think that they could slip up against the second and third best teams in the country. Colonel_Kurtz
I fear this laudable prediction cannot come through as Arsenal are seven points clear at the moment. So, if Chelsea win it'll be four points, draw six, and lose seven. So that's that sorted

James07?
Notice Wenger has been having a moan about the fixture congestion. I'm sure SAF is having a chuckle after Wengers previous comments on our fixture pile ups in seasons past. not something that's a bother this year
James07?
BTW, if Arsenal do get through the next 2 weeks unscathed they deserve everything they win.
wycombe
completely different circumstances, Fergie wanted the season extended only for ManU, Wenger just wants a sensible, unbiased fixture list.
Guest
Problem with that is that there's so many games you'd need a year-round season, still have to play midweek games, and then managers would still complain because they'd have to release players for the European Championships, World Cup....... It's the trapping of success unfortunately.
wycombe
I think there's space in the calender to move one premiership game.
