Duffman
Mine is Slovakia beating Italy, best match of the tournament imo
mcsheffreygreat
Best moment was probably that too for me. Most dramatic, however, was obviously the ending to the Ghana v Uruguay game.
charlo116
Probably Germany's win over Argentina, I wanted Argentina to do well but Germany just dominated the match, amazing stuff from a fairly young team.
PluckaDuck
My favourite moment would be Switzerland's goal over Spain. The entire Japanese game against Paraguay was amazing to watch, for the sheer desperation.
jmr
Suarez's handball, that's what I'll always remember from this World Cup, unless the final is like 5-4 or something.
Razzler
I have been miserable throughout I marked out for that Swiss goal against Spain though, surprised myself In the end they couldn't score against Honduras and are pants so it's all for nothing
hd644
The Slovakia-Italy game. Suarez's handball. The Holland-Brazil game. The penalty drama from the Spain-Paraguay game.
Hazzydeepy
The end of the Ghana - Uruguay game, fantastic drama.
Micado
Ghana vs Uruguay, great end of the game Brazil vs Holland, unbelievable we won that one Gio's goal in the SF.
SeanNUFC
The Slovakia-Italy game. Suarez's handball. The Holland-Brazil game. The penalty drama from the Spain-Paraguay game. this for me
GillsMan
Suarez's handball. Shabalala's opening goal. David Villa's goal celebrations. Eboue pretending he can understand Korean. Pantsil's flag. van Bronckorst's goal. France's implosion. Quagliaralla(sp?)'s goal. A banker playing against Italy. Argentina getting humped 4-0. Maradona's beard. Pique's beard. del Bosque's moustache. Joachim Loew's touchline attire. Joachim Loew in general. These are a few of my favourite things...
Dutch Dave
I hope the best moment comes sunday but the goal of Giovanni van Bronckhorst was fb. Also because these are his last matches as a professional football player. His last match ever will be the World Cup final. How cool is that?
Meitheisman
The best moment will hopefully be the final whistle on Sunday but that Ghana v Uruguay ending was just awesome.
Micado
His last match ever will be the World Cup final. How cool is that? I don't hope it ends like Zidane's last match as pro footballer.
Mr Sandman
England getting eliminated, good stuff
Ricky Button
Gerrard's 4th minute goal against the US in the opening game, the pure euphoria it created at the pub and the sense that the WC could go well for us. All down hill from there though.
chopper99
France's implosion and Italy getting knocked out early on will be a couple of things I remember from this world cup. And as well as the highlights already mentioned in here, the 5 minutes in the Spain Vs Paraguy match where the ref gave a penalty which was missed, gave a penalty which was scored and then made them retake that penalty, which was then missed. tcoleman1
The hands down best I have felt in this World Cup is England v Germany when Lampard scored (before it wasn't given obv). Was in a packed bar and already buzzing from the 1st goal. That is the most I have celebrated a goal for those 10 seconds Other than that it was the Swiss scoring and Mphela nearly scoring v Mexico. Dutch Dave
I don't hope it ends like Zidane's last match as pro footballer. I think though that Gio would be one of the last people in the world to ever headbut someone.
Ruud van Nistelrooy
Nothing really stands out. All the great moments for me have been subsequently cancelled out by not actually mattering at all. Palermo's goal was a good moment. And Lampard's "goal" against Germany was a wonderful moment for a good few seconds.
DJ
Lots of good memories, but Sneijder heading it in against Brasil tops it so far. I just couldn't believe we came back and even overtook Brasil after thinking it was all over. Gio's amazing goal comes second. Best strike of his carreer and that in the semi-final of the WC. Micado
I think though that Gio would be one of the last people in the world to ever headbut someone. Agreed, but I was referring to the outcome of that final, France lost..

PluckaDuck
Forgot about the opening goal, that was pretty crazy. 90,000 passionate South Africans blowing vuvuzela's on a beautiful South African day. Thought I'd also mention New Zealands 93rd minute goal and draw with Italy.
iamjerome
gyan going up to take the first penalty in the shoot out after missing the one at the end of the uruguay game and then putting it in the top corner. unreal.

docklanders
Tshabalala's goal was definitely one of the brilliant moments this WC. I think for me, the biggest irony was the ending moments of the Ghana - Uruguay game. In a bar with my Ghanian date, watching her team and my bet team, watching it all unfold was just giving me a heart attack!
jack_man
Got to be Suarez's handball. Honourable mention to New Zealand finishing above Italy though.

Trildor
Beausejour's goal against Honduras. The joy of shouting "Goal!" with all your mates after 12 years of losing is unbelievable.
Jason the Yank
The end of the Ghana - Uruguay game, fantastic drama. whs, tbqph Also, Donovan's late winner against Algeria. I was resigned to us drawing and crashing out at the group stage. I think I was like Colin Firth at the end of "Fever Pitch."

Red_Hector
So many good moments really, most of mine would be the games I've gone to but watching on TV it was probably South Africa v France when it started to look like they might actually get the goal swing. For once the vuvuzelas stopped and you could hear Shosholoza drifting up from the stands. Awesome.

joe__the__man
Speaking on behalf of a friend; Germany's 89th minute 4th goal against Argentina. He'd put £10 on 4-0 haha. Personally, the last moments and shootout of Ghana v Uruguay. I'll probably look back and remember it for Spain's month long game of keep-ball and the emergence of Germany's frightening good youngsters.
Oypus
Van Bronckhorst's goal (Barring something impressive tomorrow, goal of the tournament), Suarez's handball, pretty much whenever Forlan touched the ball, Donovan scoring that late, late goal, and Tshabalala opening the tournament in supreme style are probably my top five.
nattai
Shabalalalalalalala against Mexico. Unfortunately it never really ever reached those heights again for me. But still, for that moment alone it still ranks as a good cup.
