palpable Posted August 6, 2010 Share Posted August 6, 2010 Hi everyone: I've got a netbook with Windows 7 Starter. I install FM 2010 with an usb adapter. Cause as you know the netbooks don't have a dvd/rom. Everything was fine up here. But when try to open the game, I always get a message : "Unable to find some essential data. Please ensure that the game is installed correctly. If the problem persist, please contact ..... bla bla bla" and i cannot launch the game. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. trekman Posted August 6, 2010 Share Posted August 6, 2010 Not sure about using a usb adapter. Have you tried using steam? Make sure you have installed the latest versions of directx and java as the game needs these to work. trekman Posted August 6, 2010 Share Posted August 6, 2010 Cant advise you about your graphics card drivers without first knowing what you already have. As for direct x get it from http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-US/aboutGFW/pages/directx.aspx You can get the latest java from http://www.java.com/en/ If your not sure what graphics card you have then click start then run and type dxdiag in the box when this loads click on display and post back with the information if you want more help.
