Nottingham Forest
GCB, what happens once the transfer window shuts? Do we set our budgets for our managers? Also at the end of the season what happens? Do we go through the same process of selecting 5 players to get rid of again? Also I find it interesting on what players other chairman have got rid of and how it's interesting that I may not have.

Also I find it interesting on what players other chairman have got rid of and how it's interesting that I may not have. When transfer window shuts, I spend a few hours editing the Premier League teams with chairman data, the set data, finances and updating squads so they fit with your transfers. Then I start the game and the fun begins. In January transfer window, it'll be up to the manager. At end of season, I'll get FMRTE (if there is one for FM11) and I'll do something where you might release and sign players OR I'll leave it to the manager. Not decided. I haven't gone past one season in T2B yet and it'll take a while here. But I intend on doing it this time. I'll explain it all, trust me. Check out the locked T2B thread and see what kind of thing I'll do and expect you to do.

Nottingham Forest
So, I now have £116.7m . I'm still trying to offload players. They are(with the values I will accept) Ole Soderberg (£100k) James Perch (£200k) Mike Williamson (£1.5m) Joey Barton (£5m) Dan Gosling (£4m) Fabio Zamblera (£100k) Peter Lovenkrands (£2m) If I sell the two centre backs and centre midfiellders, then I need to find replacements. So, if any of you have a player I could be interested in pm me . I, like 5ergio, am still waiting for replies back from Paulo1985 regarding some offers I have made for some of his players. PluckaDuck
Such a low Blackpool balance should not overly affect me should it? noikeee
West Brom doesn't need any late minute deals. I'm pretty damn happy with the team I've got, except for a lack of a centre-back to partner Squillaci. I'm expecting Owen Coyle to use this as a starting 11: ------------------------V.Valdes---------------------- ------------------------------------------------------ S.Ramos---------Squillaci----------Pablo----------Lahm ------------------------------------------------------ W.Phillips----------Mikel-------Vieira---------Rosicky ------------------------------------------------------ --------------Messi------------------Agbonlahor------- Bench: Fabianski Jara Kelly Dorrans Brunt / Tchoyi Santa Cruz Sturridge In normal conditions this would be a great squad, but the opposition is really strong. Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea might have had a draft but they're still better than us. Then there's loads of usually midfield teams with 1, 2 or 3 superstar players that can decide any match. I'm aiming for a place in Europe.

Greasy Chip Butty
NEW ENGLAND BOSS CONSIDERING NEW CAPTAIN! WILL RIO LOSE THE ARMBAND? New England boss, Chip Butty, today announced that he is considering several players as potential captains of his England regime – including current captain, Rio Ferdinand – but will not be hurried into a decision ahead of the opening friendly match with Hungary at Wembley in August. Former captain John Terry, Steven Gerrard, Ferdinand and even the likes of Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard are being considered as the new boss gets to grip with the new role. “It’s an exciting time for English football with the relaunching and new structure of the Premier League and I’m ready for the challenge,” Butty announced to the gathered media at Soho Square today as he announced an overhaul of the backroom staff. “After the disappointment of the summer, we know that we need to look towards some of our excellent younger players as well as retaining the experience of the older lads – first and foremost, though, performances and quality will be the main consideration.” Butty answered a range of questions at today’s press conference and declared that he was confident that his side would hit the ground running this campaign and that he was ready and able to deal with the pressure of the role. “There are no skeletons in my closet so you might as well not bother looking!” he told the media before stressing that his side would play “attacking football, passing and movement and pace ... it’s what I like to watch so that’s what we’ll encourage.” Butty also reiterated that he would pick players based on their form and performance – not past reputations – in a move that could leave several of the current squad fearing for their places in the squad. However, Manchester United’s Paul Scholes has declined the chance to return to England. When asked, Butty told the media that “Scholes is a fantastic player, I asked him if he’d consider it and he said he was flattered but he wanted to concentrate on United. That’s fair enough.” Butty announced that Fabio Capello’s Italian coaches have left the set-up and a new backroom team is in place. West Ham scout, Jimmy Hampson, has been named the assistant boss with Butty looking for a man with eyes for quality and potential stars. Julian Monk (Liverpool), Keith Bertschin (Sunderland) and Manchester United pair, Tommy Martin and Paul McGuinness have been named as Butty’s new coaches. Sunderland’s David Binningsley and Blackburn’s David Fevre have also been added to the staff as physios. Two future friendlies were also announced: the Auld Enemy, Scotland, will visit Wembley in February whilst the national side will travel to minnows, Liechtenstein in June 2011. PluckaDuck
Reasonably happy at the end of the window. Did the best I could possibly could from the terrible squad that we had. I'm disappointed to have missed out on Stephen Hunt, he would have been a superb addition but the time-zone got the better of me on this occasion. Wiss post a proper introduction very soon.
